Avatar f tn Here is the answer to this question. In order to lose weight, you have to subtract calories. Safe weight loss is 1-2 lbs/week, so in order to lose 1 lb/week, you'd have to drop 500 calories from your BMR each day (1 lb is equal to 3500 calories, so 500 calories X 7 days = 3500 calories or 1 lb). OR you can drop 250 calories from your diet and increase .....

(and one 22 months ago), so, right now. I am riding my bike as much as I can and I have reduced my calorie & carb intake. I am drinking a TON of water and that is key too. It will come off! I am still nursing and am actually down several pounds from my pre-pregnancy weight. The only thing is I don't look like it.

You might lose a lot of water at first, but you're not going to lose any fat. You're also going to screw up your body really bad. If you read some of the posts on here, these are not issues you want to have.

The fastest way to lose weight for me is to take my current body weight and multiply it by 15 which give me my daily calorie intake (176 lbs x 15 = 2640 cal/day). Some will argue that you need more calories/day, but I beg to differ. You may feel week the first few days due to the lack of calories in your diet.

I would not force the breast milk if the reaction is not good. If you are not eating too many milk products, beans, broccoli, spicy food then she should not have problem with breast milk. Unless she is allergic to it! Call your pediatrician.

The best thing to do is make small changes that you can stick with, such as drinking water instead of sodas or fruit juice, eat more veggies, but leave off the rich sauces, etc. Snack on raw veggies, or a small handful of nuts, instead of a cookie or chips. Make sure you get plenty of exercise. Aim for at least 30 minutes, 3 days/week. Walking, yoga, etc are very good forms of exercise.

I didn't do anything to lose the weight at first but once I decided to put in the effort I was able to lose the weight quickly and healthily while breast feeding. Work out when you can, and I used the my fitness pal app. You need to tweak it some because of breastfeeding you shouldn't go under 1600 calories a day, but it can track your calories and if you follow it diligently you will lose the weight. Hard boiled eggs were my go to.

More can be lost through water weight with diuretics and crash dieting can also increase fat loss but only for a short time. When we lose fat too fast our metabolism will slow in order to conserve fat (fuel) deposits (starvation mode) and that creates new problems such a resetting the metabolic rate and fat gains during the plateau, etc.

Avatar f tn It is not normal.. you shouldn't be gaining any weight as of right now.. I'm 16 weeks and havnt gained a pound.. It's important to stay fit during pregnancy, because if you gain too much weight, it will be that much harder to lose it after the baby!

( flour, rice sugar ect) select green Vegetables. Cut out soda, inc diet soda. Walk after every meal. Watch portion size. Better to eat 5 tiny meals than 3 big ones. This speeds metabolism. If you take meds, reevaluate them. I gained 10 lbs on the pill. Swim if you are able. Many gyms have pools.
