Avatar f tn Hi Ashlee, The bad news is that there really isn't a healthy way to lose weight fast. Not if you want it to stay of and stay healthy! The good news is that you are so young that the habits you start now will stay with you and you will see a change pretty quickly. It's hard to tell you what to do not knowing what your habits AR now. But generically, you want to stay away from processed foods esp. Sugars!!!

With diet it is probably worthwhile cutting out fatty fast foods and ensuring you have a balanced diet. Exercise is an important way of maintaining a healthy lifestyle. It is important that exercise is carried out regularly so probably 30mins 5 days a week of continuous exercise such as brisk walking / swimming etc.
17567 tn?1276205629 I've dropped around 10% of my weight and have been feeling pretty good about myself, although these past few days I managed to gain back 3 pounds :( What worked for me was to cut out a lot of fats/oils and red meat and to eat a lot of salad and walk a few miles per week. Anyway, have hope, this is doable. It takes a long period to put on the pounds, so the slow and steady appraoch IMHO wins the race. I've been using the Med Help weight tracker- please try it- it's really cool.

(CARDIO WEIGHTS AND STRETCHING). I EAT YOGURT FOR BREAKFAST, A SMALL SNACK MID-DAY SUCH AS FRUIT, SALAD FOR LUNCH AND A LIGHT DINNER BEFORE 7PM EVERYNIGHT. I HAVE A VERY PHYSICAL JOB AND WORK ATLEAST 40 HOURS PER WEEK. MY CARDIO CONSISTS OF THE ELLIPTICAL MACHINE AND TREADMILL AT VERY INTENSE SPEEDS. I AM 5' 5" AND WEIGH 178 POUNDS.
Avatar n tn Take long walks (or any other cardio) and reduce your calorie/carb intake. I am trying to do the same right now. My baby is 3 months and I had a c-section too. (and one 22 months ago), so, right now. I am riding my bike as much as I can and I have reduced my calorie & carb intake. I am drinking a TON of water and that is key too. It will come off! I am still nursing and am actually down several pounds from my pre-pregnancy weight. The only thing is I don't look like it.
Avatar f tn I would also suggest recalculating your calories intake with the recommendations mentioned in the previous post and creating a diet chart accordingly. With gradual and consistent efforts you should be able to lose weight in a healthy way. Hope this is useful. Take care!

Avatar f tn I didn't take them however he had more weight to lose. In 3 months he lost 20kg and continued to lose weight until he hit 79kg. He maintains his weight loss now with a health diet and exercise. Sometimes after a big weekend he puts on 2 kg but starts eating better (no alcohol) and it comes off. The tablets helped him reach his goal but without them ( it's been almost a year ) the weight hasn't pilled back on. That's because we both watch what we eat. Here is an idea of what we eat daily.

Avatar f tn I started a diet 3 days ago. My starting weight was (yes, I said was) 228 but in 3 days, I've lost 4 pounds. No, I didn't celebrate with food. I celebrated with low impact aerobics. I have sleep apnea and I get migraines a lot too. My neurologist is doing an LP (Lumbar Puncture) on me next week and then, the week after, I'm going for my 2nd sleep study. For now, he has me on 1 liter of oxygen every night. He suggested I diet and exercise.

I started drinking slim fast about 1.5 months ago and I started doing weight training about a month ago. Yet despite all of this I have yet to lose 1lb or any inches. We first noticed that she had not eaten for 3 days, and when we weighed her, she had lost half a pound - significant on a rabbit that only weighs 2.2 lbs!.
