Avatar f tn I got my period on the 5th of december. I took the morning after pill on the 14 of december. I then started my period again on the 22nd of december. Should I have expected for my regular period to come on the 5th of january? And would I have ovulated again after this second period?

Avatar f tn stress can mess up your cycle, so can diet and many other factors. have you started taking the pill or any other hormonal contraceptive? have you recently stopped using the pill, contraceptive? your doctor needs to do some futher investigation into this.
Avatar f tn Does anyone know if taking oral contraceptives (The Pill) can permanently change your menstrual cycle, even after you stop taking them? I used to always have really regular (28ish day long) cycles, but my last few have been almost a week longer than normal. I stopped taking The Pill about 3 months ago, and I know sometimes it takes a while to have a period again.
Avatar f tn I had 10mg Provera that my doctor wanted me to take for 10 days this cycle and 5 days after this cycle. I got major PMS symptoms and had to stop the Provera after 7 days. AF came shortly after that, and I took Clomid 50mg CD 3-7. I'm on CD 11 and just waiting for ovulation. Good Luck!
Avatar n tn No, HPV will not affect your menstrual cycle, there must be some other cause for it. Is there any possibility of pregnancy? Have you had a LEEP or cone biopsy at all due to dysplasia caused by HPV? It may be time to make an appointment with a doctor.
Avatar n tn You count the length of your cycle from the first day of your last period to the first day of your next period. The length of your mentration does not calculate. Once you know the average length of your cycle, you can find out when you are supposed to O.
Avatar f tn yes, the 24th was the first day. I don't know how long your cycle is but every now and then they change. I'm sure it's nothing to worry about. It happens to everyone.
937837 tn?1285350385 I thought after you got ones levels into range the menstrual cycle was supposed to normalize. I have had about 3 50 day cycles since I was diagnosed and started meds. Before my cycles were 37, 49, 34, stopped taking birth control in mid October. Was just wondering if anyone knows if this is normal for a women with hypothyroidism?
Avatar f tn You may be having a long cycle resulting in a later period and this is spotting beforehand. That has happened to me. While pregnancy 'could' happen, it is less likely in the mid to late 40's. Have you had a pelvic exam any time recently?
Avatar f tn I want to know if it is possible to take the pill to regulate my cycle, as well as to lessen the cramps and the bleeding. I have had two periods since I had my son the first one was short and sweet but the second one was awful. I had to change every hour. I have never had cramps or extremely heavy bleeding but now I have both. I don't even get any relief pain wise until I take four pills. I don't want to get into to much detail but its bad.
Avatar f tn I'm 42 and starting to get worried about this long cycle that seems to be getting a bit heavier instead of lighter. On 7/14 I started my cycle which was nothing unusual but here I am still on it almost 11 days later. Peri menopause? The blood is not heavy or light, sort of what it's usually like mid cycle and it's bright red. Around day 7 it seemed to be letting up a bit but now it seems to be getting a tiny bit heavier every day, not heavy just heavier.

87651 tn?1259602403 I had 4 months of no period after my dosage was adjusted from 112 to 125 mcg a few months after the surgery, then my cycle came back to normal (or, as normal as it has been since then). Then, for some unexplained reason, this past fall, I had 3 periods in November, 2 in December, then more or less back on schedule since then. My endo checked my thyroid levels as well as FSH,LH, Estradoil, etc.
Avatar f tn I have just started birth control, Ginette 35, starting with the in-active pills on the first day of my menstrual cycle as instructed by my Gynaechologist. 6 days later however, and about 1 or 2 active pills into the cycle, i had unprotected sex with my boyfriend. What i would like to now know is a) how long does it take for Ginette 35 or birth control in general to take effect against pregnancy?
Avatar f tn When I was on the pill and missed a couple, my menstrual cycle went all over the place, and I had to come off it until I had a period, and stopped bleeding full stop, and start the pill again just to get my cycle back into rhythm.
