adderall

Avatar f tn Does anyone know how long it takes to get your OWN energy back from taking Adderall 30 mg? I've been off them now for 21/2 weeks. I stay so tired and my housework isn't getting done. I'll be 66 Sunday, so does age have anything to do with it? I'm widowed and lonely and the Adderall helped me keep busy.I take Pristiq for depression, and it helps. My health isn't great but i manage.
Avatar m tn Did you stop taking anything else - like coffee?
Avatar f tn I've been off of adderall for about 6 days now. I've been very depressed (literally lying on the floor, staring at the ceiling) and somewhat nauseated that entire time. However, I am also 6 weeks pregnant, and I have chronic mild depression anyway. I was using 10-20 mg per day (more than it sounds like, for someone my size) , for about a year. So, how long can I expect the withdrawal symptoms to last, and how much of what I'm experiencing do you think is from withdrawal?

Avatar m tn not personal experience with adderall....but it is normal to feel fatigue with adderall wd...it is not life threatening and for the most part it is a mental wd vs narcotics being both/mental and physical...the fatigue is common among narc wds as both drugs supply extra endorphins to the brain//many feel fatigue after narcotic cessation to be a physical symptom like the runs...but it is a result of taking endorphins away and waiting on the brain to "catch up" on endorphin production....
Avatar n tn Hello, How are you ? I hope this finds you well. My name is Shelley and I am a mom and have a 19 year old son. I'll first tell you what he was on for the last year. Adderall XR 25 milligrams , dextrostat 10 milligrams for afternoon, and effexor (75)for mild depression, mind you. ( I think the adderall was causing the havoc made him tired all the time and rollercoaster mood swings. ) So, got recruited to college for golf but couldn't function for 18 holes.
Avatar f tn what does have you been on and for how long? This will give me a better point to reference your WD symptoms from.
1325193 tn?1450127436 t need this, and with my abusive personality, I was wondering if this is normal withdrawal and how long it last. It is a good drug for people who need it, and not abused by people like me. Any thoughts please??
Avatar n tn How long does this last? Days, weeks? I've had the same thing for weeks. My Dr. is optimistic that I will be over this soon, and I have had some improvement.
Avatar n tn I've taken Adderall occasionally over the last two years or so (I do not have a prescription, have a couple friends with prescriptions -- please don't give me **** about this!). I'm a sophomore in college and took the drug for studying starting my senior year, then very briefly for a few occasions after that. But in the last month, for some reason I got cravings for it. I didn't associate the cravings with my needs to cram study time like I had before.

Avatar f tn m not sure what to do and if nothing how long will this last? I was under the impression that he worst withdrawal symptoms were within the first few days for sub. Anyone with any experience in this I would greatly appreciate it if you would leave a reply. Thank you.
Avatar n tn So if it due to alcohol withdrawal in alcoholics how long does it take to go away? Is there something that can be done to help it?
Avatar n tn I'm diagnosed with ADHD and depression at 25mg amphetamine tab daily (15 morning, 10 lunch), and 15mg Sertraline every breakfast, respectively. Regarding the ADHD, my psychiatrist told me I should probably take a "pill holiday" with the Adderall every once in a while when I don't study or when I am not doing much work. I tried that once, but I think it somewhat threw off my treatment for depression.
Avatar f tn m addicted to my Adderall 30 mg. I used to take it as directed, once daily, but last few months taking it more. I have only5 pills left until my renewed prescription next month. Does anyone know about the withdrawal symptoms from this? Is it worse than coming off vicodin or better? I have clonazepam 1mg which I rarely ever take. I have plenty refills for that. Was told that the clonazepam would greatly help. Is this true?
880242 tn?1241283005 You may want to ask your psychiatrist to add bupropion (wellbutrin) to your medications in place of the adderall; it is not addictive, but it does lead to increased dopamine in the brain. We used it to treat ADD in the prisons when we were avoiding stimulants. It might help with your current depression and energy level as well, and can be taken along with your other psych meds. After a month or two, your body will suddenly start to feel whole again-- it just takes time.
Avatar m tn I got the headaches usually after the dose wore off and would get tired. Does he take adderall xr which are capsules or just the short acting adderall which comes in pill form? You may need to lower the dose which could help his side effects. If the dose is too strong; when it wears off it can definitely cause withdrawal symptoms. My son and I both had this problem. After a year on the med, your son will definitely need to either increase or decrease based on how he is doing.
Avatar m tn The tricky part is OD, while subs cannot cause an fatal OD, taking enough other opiates could cause and OD before one feels their effects on the brain. With the long half life of sub, one day is not long enough to detox the accumulation of the last few weeks of bupe. I don't think precipitated withdrawal would be possible in such a short time. Just my opinion of coarse. What I really think is, use the sub to form a plan and get on that plan.
