i take one in the morning at 7 and at night at 7. lately (twice in the past two weeks) after I take my evening dose, my bp goes up and my heart pounds. it was pounding so hard last night through my neck and arms and ears, that I couldnt sleep. I cant yawn now at night for some odd reason, and during the day, I am lethargic.
I have been told that atenolol cannot cause your heart to pound, nor can it cause insomnia and raise your blood pressure, but it is. any suggestions or advice?
Lisinopril can cause nausea, headaches, anxiety, insomnia, drowsiness, nasal congestion and sexual dysfunction. I have been taking 40 mg lisinopril for 3 months. It works on my BP but I am coughing and my nose is running.
I have had stent implants too and was taking a bunch of meds but I was only on lisinopril for short time. It was the lisinopril that gave me those symptoms plus a bad tickle in the back of my throat that caused me to cough a lot! I finally got off the lisinopril and I felt Waaaayyy better! Good luck!
I have been taking Lisinopril for 2 years and since then my resting heart rate is between 90-100. Here recently though after I take Lisinopril it has jumped to 130 when walking 100 when resting. I take Lisinopril in the morning and my pulse jumps but at night it gos back to being okay (Lisinopril's half life is 12 hours). I haven't taken today because I was out but my resting pulse is 90 and when I went to WalMart it went no higher than 110 unlike 140 yesterday.
However, this could also be due to some medications such as the combination of lisinopril and hydrochlorothiazide that is used to treat high blood pressure. Lisinopril is in a group of drugs called angiotensin converting enzyme (ACE) while Hydrochlorothiazide is in a class of diuretics. I called my doctor and the nurse said i had the symptoms of axiety but also said to stop taking the Lisinopril. I have not taken that pill in 24 hrs. My question is could the Lisinopril have caused the palpitations and could it take some time to go away or should i look into axiety. It just seems odd that none of this was going on untill i took that Lisinopril.
I take 10mg of lexapro per day, plus 25mg of Hydrocklorothiazide, 50mg of Atenolol and 20mg of Lisinopril. When I started to take the Lisinopril, I would wake up in the middle of the night with my heart racing and feeling as if I had a panic attach. I sucked it up and got used to the med over time and it stopped happening. My blood pressure is still not really under control, at the doc's office I am slightly up 135/89 etc.

I was started on 3.125 mg 2x/d 4 months ago. also lisinopril and effient and lipitor. all due to an MI and stent in RCA. Dr took me off lisinopril due to dry cough about 6 weeks ago and upped coreg to 6.25 mg. cough resolved but I have been having early morning rapid heart beat (wakes me up) in recent weeks and my tinnitus has become much worse. My upper back pain which started while on drugs is also worse since the dosage went up.

20 mg in 7 am , and 20 mg Lisinopril in 7 pm (so total = 40 mg Lisinopril per day). During the day (systolic) hypertension goes 150-160 mmHg and only in 2-4pm it is 130 mmHg (and at 10-12 pm). What should be done for this patient. Maybe trying a diuretic (hydrochlorthiazid) and lowering the dose of Lisinopril? Lisinopril and Metoprolol when I left the hospital, now Lisinopril and carvedilol (coreg). seems like a relatively common combination.
On the 30 day follow up from hospitalization and another echocardiobram I was told my heart function was up to 30%. My lisinopril went from 10 to 20 mg. On my 30 day follow-up office visit from the following cardiocatherization I was told my heart was functioning at 25% even though I was feeling better than before I had the cardiac event in December. Even though I was feeling better the doctor increased my lisinopril to 40mg. I don't get it.
I was on asprin 325 mg, toporol xl 25mg 1 tab daily, lipitor 40mg 1 tab daily, lisinopril 10mg daily, plavix 75mg 1 tab daily.VAP scores were 110 total 60 LDL and 40HDL.

s picked about 7 hours after taking Lisinopril and was really bad at about 12 hours after taking Lisinopril. I experienced about 3100 PVC's during this 24 hr holter report of which approximately 1600 of them came in this 5 hour period between the 7 hour and 12 hour mark post Lisinopril. I do have about 20-80 PVC's per hour during the rest of the day. any thoughts???
I take Coreg(Carvedilol) and Lisinopril. I still want children very badly and was told that basically, there were meds that I can take instead of Lisinopril, but I would have to stop taking Coreg. Of course, I would just have to see how I would do without Coreg... Are there any alternatives to Coreg?
m exercising or training do I have any pain. My main symptoms are swelling in ankles, and a resting heart rate of 90. I've had two stress test, on stress echo, and one cardiolite stress. Both were normal and showed no blockage.My ejection Fracture was 38-40%
I currently am on Coreg 3mg twice daily. and 2mg of lisinopril. I only take a few supplements, mostly, a multi-vitamin and joint supplement, Mirracle greens, fish oil, CLA and Protien shakes after workouts.
