In addition he was also given medication for Diabetes Type II, metformin 850 mg, glipizide 5mg, lisinopril 5 mg, simvastatin 20mg, Asprin 81 mg, Ranitidine 150 mg. Additionally he was also prescribed Naproxen 500mg and Alumina Magnesia 360 ml. I think this is too much medication. Any suggestions? The pain meds are for arthritic hip and knee and rotator cuff surgery.
I have been having chest pains over the past couple of hours. It has been a steady pain....(7-7.5 on a scale of 1-10)... I've had a little bit of pain in my shoulder as well...What could be causing this? I am 5'8" and I weigh 260. I do have high blood pressure and asthma, (i take Lisinopril and Albuterol for those). My BP has still been running high, although I was just switched to Lisinopril from Propranolol 4 days ago. Should I go to the ER?
Mine was borderline high when I was in my late teens, and eventually I was put on a vasodilator (don’t recall the name) and later on a ACE inhibitor (lisinopril). Still on that one with little or no side effects after about 25 years of taking it.
I would err on the side of caution and ask about getting an Rx, the risks of high blood pressure are well documented and relatively easily avoided.
I am a woman of 49 who had a small stroke about a year ago, Ever since my pain in my left knee has gotten worse, I have been to a reumatologist and my own primary care physician. I am on "Lisinopril" and "Amlodipine" for blood pressure/cholestrol and on 50 mg. Tramadol for the pain in my knees. I was told I would need total knee replacement at some point. My pharmacy and doctor has let me down with getting me the Tramadol, right now I am waiting a week to get my prescription.
IV steriods and epinephrine eventually started to bring the swelling down after several hours. I was ordered to stop taking my LISINOPRIL (40mg). I continued to experience large painful red welts all over my body for the next few weeks. I started taking prednisone, benedryl, zyrtec, and zantac whenever I started having further outbreaks. My doctor started me back on my LISINOPRIL due to my very high blood pressure readings. My doctor also gave me a shot of prednisone.

Recently I have been experiencing sudden pain in my abdomen. The pain then spreads to my shoulders and down my arms. A little health history...I am 32 year old male, 6'3" 265lbs. I have slightly high blood pressure that I take 5mg of Lisinopril for and have been for the past 3 weeks. I also had a bout of Prostatitis which I was given a ten day supply of Cipro for. Also, I have had my hear checked fully 2 years ago when my EKG showed and abnormality.
I wonder if the Lisinopril is the reason why I have dark urine, havent went as much, and get dizzy sometimes....only been happening last few days.
Looking for good new...found out I am pregnant and am taking Lisinopril 10mg. Does anyone have any experience with this?
First a little about me. I'm 33 years old. 6'2"- 200-205 and 14% body fat and very fit. I workout reguarly, have been doing martial arts and crossfit for 15 years and am teacher. I ran an half marathon, 10 months ago. I've now been diagonosed with idiopathic cariodmyopathy. I' have no chest pain, occasional shortness of breath(with extreme or long effort). Not even when I'm exercising or training do I have any pain.
I was put on lisinopril and amlodipine. Ever since I started taking these medications my ocd has been totally out of control. There are rituals and image problems that I have never had before and it's really getting worse. Does anyone here have anxiety problems along with HBP and the medications have made them worse? Doctors don't believe me but I know my own mind and how different it is since I went on these medications.
20 mg in 7 am , and 20 mg Lisinopril in 7 pm (so total = 40 mg Lisinopril per day). During the day (systolic) hypertension goes 150-160 mmHg and only in 2-4pm it is 130 mmHg (and at 10-12 pm). What should be done for this patient. Maybe trying a diuretic (hydrochlorthiazid) and lowering the dose of Lisinopril? Please tell what do you think of the doses to start trying, how often and when during the day? (P.S.
(Anticardiolipen antibody studies are pending) More recently he has had an acute onset of bilateral shoulder pain and left knee pain, all which came on suddenly and resolved just as quickly, within 24 hours. He is on the standard cardiac meds, Toprol, Imdur, Lasix, Lisinopril, Amiodorone, coumadin. Each episode of chest pain starts with a "weird" feeling that he can't explain, with diaphoresis and escalates to a 10 on the pain scale.
Then pain presented in my right knee. I was told it was bursitis and was advised to take over-the-counter pain relievers. I chose Motrin because I had good success with it during a toothache.
When the pain reliever didn't relieve the pain, I had a session with an acupuncturist. That also did not relieve the pain. I then met with an orthopedic P.A. who showed me the x-ray film, pointing out two little bone spurs on either side of the knee cap, an indication of arthritis.
About 3 years ago I was diagnosed with hyper-tension. My Dr. put me on Lisinopril. Late last year (2014), I developed a dry hacking cough. My Doctor & I concluded that it must've been the Lisinopril. Then, I was put on
Losartan. Within 2 1/2 months my muscles started to ache which led to problems sleeping. My legs ( calves & hamstrings) would get very tight & I would need to constantly stretch.
Has anybody using Losartan experienced these side effects??
Lisinopril and Metoprolol when I left the hospital, now Lisinopril and carvedilol (coreg). seems like a relatively common combination.
On the 30 day follow up from hospitalization and another echocardiobram I was told my heart function was up to 30%. My lisinopril went from 10 to 20 mg. On my 30 day follow-up office visit from the following cardiocatherization I was told my heart was functioning at 25% even though I was feeling better than before I had the cardiac event in December. Even though I was feeling better the doctor increased my lisinopril to 40mg. I don't get it.
s picked about 7 hours after taking Lisinopril and was really bad at about 12 hours after taking Lisinopril. I experienced about 3100 PVC's during this 24 hr holter report of which approximately 1600 of them came in this 5 hour period between the 7 hour and 12 hour mark post Lisinopril. I do have about 20-80 PVC's per hour during the rest of the day. any thoughts???
I take Coreg(Carvedilol) and Lisinopril. I still want children very badly and was told that basically, there were meds that I can take instead of Lisinopril, but I would have to stop taking Coreg. Of course, I would just have to see how I would do without Coreg... Are there any alternatives to Coreg?
thing with me when I told him about the weight gain. This week I am having a lot of unusual knee and leg pain and no one can say why. The pain only starts after I take my 5mg Bystolic tablet. I too gained 15 pds with no dietary changes. I joined Weight Watchers and an wasting money nothing seems to be working to lose the weight.
I have been taking Lisinopril for 2 years and since then my resting heart rate is between 90-100. Here recently though after I take Lisinopril it has jumped to 130 when walking 100 when resting. I take Lisinopril in the morning and my pulse jumps but at night it gos back to being okay (Lisinopril's half life is 12 hours). I haven't taken today because I was out but my resting pulse is 90 and when I went to WalMart it went no higher than 110 unlike 140 yesterday.
I've had some mild pain in my shoulder blades going up on both sides of my neck and my right ear always, every day for years has felt partially clogged. I also have a dull pain in the upper part of my left breast that has been there for about six months now. I've had a dry cough scratchy throat for two weeks. I have been tired and sleepy all the time for months also. I take Lisinopril and Premarin, and 54 and quit smoking about 10 months ago.
