Avatar f tn I just returned from my first appt w/ my new Dr. She says that I should be on lisinopril "to protect my kidneys". I have had diabetes for 35 years and never had a test come back indicating that I am "spilling protiens". My BP is 104/70 A1c is about 7.3.Very good health, no heart problems etc. Is this just a standard/ routine prescription for diabetics now...like aspirin?
Avatar f tn Try posting on the "Ask a Doctor Forums" - Diabetes - Adult Type II . You seem to have many choices but first ask Dr Ramsetty for her opinion.
Avatar n tn My husband has been diagnosed recently with diabetes & is on oral medication at this time. Is it common to be placed on high blood pressure medication at the same time even though blood pressure is normal??? I am presuming as a preventative? I would appreciate any knowledge on this topic.
Avatar m tn They took me off Lisinopril I had it real bad at the time then. I would get it all over my body. Sometimes it would fire like two or three times in the same spot. Like I said I get it all over my body. Legs, back, arms, shoulders, neck, butt. It would be fine then at once it will hit then like maybe 60 minutes to a day later it will just all of a sudden clear up as fast as it came until next time. It has been a lot better since I have been off the Lisinopril.
Avatar m tn I've been taking lisinopril since my diagnosis in 2012. The last time I had any tests done was back in 2012 and everything came back normal. No high cholesterol or anything of the sort. Now the lisinopril didn't help lower my blood pressure, but it has seemed to keep it from going higher.
Avatar n tn I pretty much have the same thing. Do you have diabetes or high blood pressure? I was on Lisinopril and i ended up in the ER for the blood pressure medicine. It's called Paresthesia. They put me on something new. I feel a lot better but now I wonder if it's something else. It keeps me from sleeping and it wakes me up. Before when I was on Lisinopril sometimes it would fire in the same spot multiple times and i had problems walking. It has not been that bad since.
Avatar m tn I have been taking 40 mg lisinopril for 3 months. It works on my BP but I am coughing and my nose is running.
Avatar n tn Does this mean I have Polycystic kidney disease, or does it just mean I have benign cysts? I take Lisinopril 5 mg daily. My doctors say that the kidneys don't hurt, but I have constant pain. Is this unusual?
Avatar n tn I take daily Glucophage 500 x 2, Januvia 100, Actos 30 (newly prescribed), Lisinopril 40, Amlodopine 10 (newly prescribed), and HCTZ 25. What do you think is the cause of my pain? Thanks.
Avatar f tn I'm 76 years old was diagnosed with CHF in February of 2009. I am being treated by a good cardiologist. My ejection rate is 34% and I hope increasing all the time. It was 20% in February at my initial diagnosis. I'm taking carvedilol, lisinopril, digoxin, medication for my cholesterol and diabetes 2 and also aspirin and cod liver oil . I would like to continue with my exercise program and don't know if it's allowed. It's not hard, just walking.
193953 tn?1272075026 If it is not neuropathy, have you been checked for diabetes? The neuropathy may be caused by exposure to several industrial chemicals (benzenes, and such).
Avatar m tn I just got off of Lisinopril after taking it off and on for four years (it was causing my resting heart rate to be around 100 until recently it was 130) and ever since then my bp has been fine during the day 120-140 70-85 and my pulse is around 80. But late at night when I got to bed and lay down my bp is low 100-110 60-70 and pulse is around 58. I am scheduled to have an echo Monday. I am a 24 year old male 5"5' 200 pounds and my cholesterol is slightly elevated.
Avatar m tn I was diagnosed with HBP when I was 28. Originally treated with atenelol, until change of doctor switched me to 30mg Coracten and 20mg lisinopril (13 years ago). I found the combo effective, regular monitoring showed BP controlled, no side effects. about 16 months ago I noticed I was getting dizzy, standing up, and dizzy after exercise. I stopped the coracten. Doc confirmed BP ok without coracten.
Avatar n tn What is your age? Are you taking any meds? Any major health issues? Did you take enhancement pills?
Avatar f tn Hi, this could be associated with neuropathy, sciatica etc. Vascular insufficiency could be contributing factor. Do you have diabetes or hypertension? Do you have enlarged inguinal lymph nodes? Get urine examination done to rule out infection. Do consult doctor for evaluation.
Avatar f tn I also was diagnosed with diabetes last July. Recently my arrhythmia seems much worse; frequent racing heartbeat. A couple weeks ago I started feeling lightheaded upon standing. My doctor determined that my blood pressure was very low. He tried cutting my medication-Ziac from 5 to 2.5 mg. It didn't improve. He had me get an echocardiogram which came back normal. Then he switched me to Olmetec which he said would treat the arrhythmia which he believed is causing the low blood pressure.
Avatar f tn Looking for good new...found out I am pregnant and am taking Lisinopril 10mg. Does anyone have any experience with this?

Avatar n tn 20 mg in 7 am , and 20 mg Lisinopril in 7 pm (so total = 40 mg Lisinopril per day). During the day (systolic) hypertension goes 150-160 mmHg and only in 2-4pm it is 130 mmHg (and at 10-12 pm). What should be done for this patient. Maybe trying a diuretic (hydrochlorthiazid) and lowering the dose of Lisinopril? Please tell what do you think of the doses to start trying, how often and when during the day? (P.S.
225237 tn?1333138999 m a 32 year old female I do have high blood pressure that is controlled with Lisinopril an pre-diabetic which I just started Metformin ER a week ago. I also suffer from spells of anxiety but try to deal without taking medication for it.
Avatar f tn In addition he was also given medication for Diabetes Type II, metformin 850 mg, glipizide 5mg, lisinopril 5 mg, simvastatin 20mg, Asprin 81 mg, Ranitidine 150 mg. Additionally he was also prescribed Naproxen 500mg and Alumina Magnesia 360 ml. I think this is too much medication. Any suggestions? The pain meds are for arthritic hip and knee and rotator cuff surgery.
Avatar f tn Lisinopril and Metoprolol when I left the hospital, now Lisinopril and carvedilol (coreg). seems like a relatively common combination.
Avatar n tn I have had type 1 Diabetes for 21 years. For the last five years I've had excellent control. I've had two healthy babies and an A1C of 5.0-6.5. Unfortunately I've had more years out of control than in control. Today my lab results showed protien in my urine. I am not taking this well, even though I knew it was inevitible because of my history. My Doctor has perscribed Lisinopril after I have my third child.
Avatar n tn On the 30 day follow up from hospitalization and another echocardiobram I was told my heart function was up to 30%. My lisinopril went from 10 to 20 mg. On my 30 day follow-up office visit from the following cardiocatherization I was told my heart was functioning at 25% even though I was feeling better than before I had the cardiac event in December. Even though I was feeling better the doctor increased my lisinopril to 40mg. I don't get it.
