I have my pacemakers (total 4), I never taking any blood thinner orally. The doctor also told me, "don't touch Aspirin". I got A-fib and I also got A-tach. Only one tablet of Aspirin was given at ER for my chest pain. May be they put me on testing to prove that pacemaker, A-Fib isn't need blood thinner.

t know much about heart disease or high blood pressure but let me tell you a couple things I know about this medication. Lisinopril is used to control high blood pressure and water retention. Too strong of a dosage can cause diarrhea which can cause potassium to drop low.
Losartan - potassium (Cozarr) is used to control hypertension and might be a better fit for your daughters condition as the side effects are similar.

Tried cardioversion but did not work--was told only a 30% chance of success. Am on lisinopril for blood pressure-- for a fib--digoxin, tatzia xt and xarelto as blood thinner. my girl friend just went to the doctor, they took her blood pressure and it was 210 over 110. she is 53 and is all ready on procardia. they toke it four times and it stayed that high. they just gave her a scrpit for linsinaprel and sent her home, was that the right thing to do.

Hello I'm new to the forum and I'm glad I found it. I have a question about high blood pressure medication. I found out two years ago that I have high blood pressure. I also suffer with ocd. I was put on lisinopril and amlodipine. Ever since I started taking these medications my ocd has been totally out of control. There are rituals and image problems that I have never had before and it's really getting worse.
On the 30 day follow up from hospitalization and another echocardiobram I was told my heart function was up to 30%. My lisinopril went from 10 to 20 mg. On my 30 day follow-up office visit from the following cardiocatherization I was told my heart was functioning at 25% even though I was feeling better than before I had the cardiac event in December. Even though I was feeling better the doctor increased my lisinopril to 40mg. I don't get it.
20 mg in 7 am , and 20 mg Lisinopril in 7 pm (so total = 40 mg Lisinopril per day). During the day (systolic) hypertension goes 150-160 mmHg and only in 2-4pm it is 130 mmHg (and at 10-12 pm). I take 10mg of lexapro per day, plus 25mg of Hydrocklorothiazide, 50mg of Atenolol and 20mg of Lisinopril. When I started to take the Lisinopril, I would wake up in the middle of the night with my heart racing and feeling as if I had a panic attach. I sucked it up and got used to the med over time and it stopped happening. My blood pressure is still not really under control, at the doc's office I am slightly up 135/89 etc.
I was offered Lisinopril, I thought it was for high blood pressure, while I was hospitalized for a-fib last fall. I was already on an anti-arrythmic and a beta blocker and a couple of other unrelated drugs. Anyway they offered me Liprinosil and I declined to add yet another drug. The doctor put me on two 10mg capsules of Lisinopril a day. My blood pressure remains high. What causes my blood pressure to remain high even on BP meds? I do not work and do not have a lot of home stress or anything like that. I do not smoke, don't drink at all.
