Avatar m tn Immediately, I felt a tightness in my chest and shortness of breath after taking. I googled acetylcysteine and one of the side effects was shortness of breath and tightness of chest. I have an appointment to see my doctor in 2 weeks (retired vet....appointments these days are hard to get) meanwhile I'm wondering if there are others who have experienced this the drug acetylcysteine with the same side effects. I stop using it 3 days ago until I see my doctor.
Avatar n tn As lagoya mentioned, you may or may not experience side effects. If so, they range from annoying side effects to serious side effects. If it's helpful, when I took flecainide, I had weird dreams, shakiness, tremors and gastointestinal problems. It wasn't horrible, but it was bothersome enough that the doctor switched me to rhythmol. Great suggestion from lagoya on checing out the medication under "Health Topics" above.
Avatar n tn first time lower left, 2nd time, entire upper, 3rd time lower right, 4th time, entire right side of my face and finally, yesterday, entire left side of my face from upper lip to just below the eye. Cardiologist told me to get off drug for 6 weeks to see if anything else is causing swelling. My questions; Can thsi small amt of lipitor cause such a side effect?
Avatar n tn While it may be nothing very serious, dyspnea or shortness of breath can be an allergic reaction affecting the respiratory system and can become fatal. This shortness of breath can also be due to hypoglycemia cause by Levaquin. Please call up your doctor urgently and do not take the next dose until you have spoken to the doctor and have been examined by him. Take care!
Avatar n tn Statin drugs are often associated with side effects including nausea, headaches, dizziness, sleep disturbances, sexual dysfunction, fatigue, shortness of breath, memory loss, liver problems, muscle weakness, muscle pain, peripheral neuropathy and cardiomyopathy due to a depletion of Coenzyme Q10. Thirteen liver failure cases and nine deaths were linked with Lipitor. In response, the FDA has recommended the addition of warnings to statin package inserts about the possibility of liver failure.
Avatar n tn After having radiation, I get some painful heartburn right under my breast where my ribs almost meet. Is this common? I also have shortness of breath and when I cough, I sound like I have a smokers cough. My cough is not chronic. Is this common? I would love some answers. Thanks so much. Avatar f tn Sometimes I get shortness of breath for no reason at all. I think this is different from the MS hug (although today I had/have both) because my lungs just feel like they're not getting enough air. Sometimes it's because of hypotension - changing from upright to sitting, or vice versa. Today it was just a low-level shortness, that lasted until it turned into an MS hug. (Or spasms of the intercostal muscles - whatever it was, it was painful.
Avatar m tn The doc gave me some darvacets and I THINK they are giving me shortness of breath. I also, take 1 soma350 a day now and two zanaflex at night to relax my twitches Has anyone else had these symptoms?
Avatar f tn yes, shortness of breath especially walking up stairs... drink atleast a gallon of water per day...

Avatar m tn I went to CVS and took it today and it was 158 over 98. The shortness of breath comes and goes but is getting more persistent. I also feel very bloated and have been burbing often. They ran full bloodwork panel in January and everything was normal. Any thoughts?
Avatar f tn It could be because your body has more blood now, and so your heart has to work harder, which can cause shortness of breath. Kind of like when you are exercising and become short of breath. Just take as many deep breaths as you can and stretch a bit. It probably won't go away and may get worse as your organs get squished together. Just another one of those not so pleasant side effects.
Avatar n tn What do you think this is? Do you think this could be a side effect of Lipito? Could Lipitor had damaged the muscles around the occipital nerve? Or could lipitor had damaged the occipital nerve?
1204528 tn?1588786333 Considering there is not much information on such an interaction, I think you were right in suggesting anxiety to be the most likely cause of the shortness of breath. What made me think otherwise was that on the previous occasion, it was when zopiclone (again metabolized by CYP3A4) was on that the symptoms occurred. So the cause is likely to be one of the meds. Probably diclofenac, but we can’t rule out carbamazepine either.
Avatar f tn I also called the oncologist office today. They said that shortness of breath can be a side affect of femara, but should only last about 2 or 3 more weeks and to let them know if it lasts longer. I just recently had a cat scan and bone scan. Would they have shown something if there were a problem with the heart or lung? Thanks again for your quick answer. I just love this site so much....it really helps to answer so many questions.

Avatar m tn I recently had a double bypass operation and recovered pretty quickly, about rwo months after my surgery, I developed shortness of breath and get very winded when I walk or do any kind of exercise, it is worse at night when I am laying down, all this happened after my surgery, could the bypass have anything to do with it? Avatar m tn s possible that my blood pressure meds could be causing my shortness of breath. Supposedly I should not stop taking them, as that is what I would normally do to see if drugs were causing my issues. Does anyone know? My average readings are 134/72/72. on the medications. Irbesartan 300mg. I have been on these drugs for about two or three years now.
Avatar n tn Why have I never recovered from the side effects of these drugs? I still suffer from shortness of breath and find it almost impossible to work. I cannot walk 100 yards without being totally out of breath and now I get a sensation in my chest. I have had stress tests on my heart and all negative. This started while on treatment and was told I was anemic and it would go away.I never cleared the Virius to top it off.
