Lip therapy vaseline

Common Questions and Answers about Lip therapy vaseline

Avatar f tn i have natural dark lips. is there any type of lip depigmenation treatements available to lighten my lips? are there any type of treatments out there? lemon juice, vaseline, etc treatments have not worked. any suggestions?
Avatar f tn Use a humidifier to moisturize the air in your home and apply shea butter or Vaseline on your lips. Topical steroids or oral therapy of corticosteroids is required in severe cases. Topical creams like tacrolimus ointment (Protopic) and pimecrolimus cream (Elidel) are also useful. For that you have to consult a dermatologist. I hope it helps. Take care and regards.
Avatar f tn They swell a little and are really sore and become red around the lip line. Most of the time, skin peels off too. I have tried vitamin e oil, Vaseline, beeswax, blistex, chapstick, and carmex. Nothing seems to work and it usually takes about 3-4 weeks to go away. What is this and how do I treat it?
Avatar n tn Till then keep your skin and lips moisturized by Vaseline or lip balms and take adequate fluids throughout the day. Hope it helps.Take carea and pls do keep me posted on how you are doing.
Avatar f tn In order to try to relieve the pain I have used hydrocotisone 1%. triamcinolone acetonide, carmax and vaseline. Somehow this does not go away. Can someone please help?
Avatar f tn A few weeks later I experienced the burning again for a few days. Then I thought it was perhaps a cut on my lip and salt had gotten into the cut. Then last week my lips started burning again and a day or two later the insides of my lips were all red and maybe even a little swollen. I did eventually get slight cracks in the corners of my mouth. I kept using lip moisturizer but they still burned. I used petroleum jelly for 2 days and it may have helped a bit.
Avatar m tn I licked my lips to keep them moist, but they dried immediately and became sticky when pressed together. I started using lip balm, but this gave no relief. This condition has remained constant for the last 30 days. The lips remain dry and cracked, but there have been no blisters or sores--just dry, cracked lips which remain sticky when pressed together. Apparently that kid had some sort of lip infection and passed it on to me. Do the symptoms sound familiar, and is there a cure?
Avatar n tn So, it first started in november where my lips started to feel extremely dry and chapped. I continued to use burts bees lip balm, and this particular lip gloss. a few days later, i ended up getting little bumps on the right corner of my upper lip, and a bump in the middle of my bottom lip. it was not noticeable to others unless i really pointed it out.
Avatar n tn My lips are severly dry especially the upper one. I have been using vaseline but my dermatologist suggested something called accusooth but it can only be purchased online. Does anyone know a website for it. Also the acne is staring to clear on my face but not on my back and shoulders.
Avatar n tn I have never had a problem before but about three weeks ago my lips felt like they were getting chapped so I used lip balm , vaseline, estee lauder lip renue, but they are still chapped they feel dry and somewhat itchy. have been using neosporin lip therapy since yesterday and they fell better when it is on but back to dry the minute it wears off! They dont seem to be getting better.
Avatar f tn My doctor told me to use something with Vaseline in it while im on Accutane. I found Vaseline lip therapy...its in a small tube (white and blue) and I found it at Walmart for like 97cents. I have to apply it almost every 15 minutes at least, but its worth me, it helps!
Avatar m tn I've lost my self confidence and I am embarrassed about going out and people commenting on my funny lip. It all started with a very dry plasticy upper lip that was a little soar when eating. Somehow after constantly applying vaseline and lipcare products it totally disappeared and I was back to normal. Then suddenly a little portion of the lower lip went dark. Being black I'm used to hearing that black skin takes longer to heal but this is seriously ruining my life.
Avatar f tn Diagnosed by bld test like RAST.Treatment is by topical steroids or oral therapy of corticosteroids in severe cases.Topical creams like tacrolimus ointment (Protopic) and pimecrolimus cream (Elidel) are also useful. It is very difficult to precisely confirm a diagnosis without examination and investigations and the answer is based on the medical information provided. For exact diagnosis, you are requested to consult your doctor. I sincerely hope that helps.
Avatar m tn On the right side of the lower lip, the skin felt and looked different. It felt like it was a chapped lip, with the pulling when I moved the it, but the skin itself didn't tear. It also looked slightly white-ish, as if it was covered with something of that colour, and when I pulled on the lip it looked oddly compared to the rest. After a day or so, it evolved into an abrasive like texture and there was a slight uncomfortable feeling. Then a slight spot in the middle of the white-ish appeared.
Avatar n tn Recently,I observed a small white line across the inner lining of my upper lip and slightly in the mucous membranes of the lower lip I havent observed it in any other parts of my body I consulted a couple of dermatologists and I was informed it as vitiligo Here is the prescription am following now In the Morning 1.TRIAMCINOLONE ACETONIDE ORAL PASTE(KENACORT 0.1%) Afternoon 2.TACROZ FORTE(TACROLIMUS OINTMENT 0.
Avatar n tn It is thin and so perfect that it looks like he used lip liner or lipstick to outline his upper lip. Any further ideas?
Avatar n tn Im 22 and ive been having this lip peeling problem for about a year now, an the lip is dry and its peeling but it never bleeds...the thing thats worrying me, is that the skin under the peeling skin looks its straight dry, anything i put on it (vasiline, chap stick, water..a bunch of stuff from the doctor) it seems like it jus ***** it believe its an "alergic reaction" but im want to know if my original skin is gonna grow back?
Avatar n tn hi, i have a similar lip skin patch, have had it for about a week. did you ever find out what was going on with yours? did it resolve on its own?
Avatar m tn lower lips were extremely dry and had a scaly crust-like exterior which looks extremely terrible. I thought they were just chapped. I started using regular vaseline and other types of lip balms you find at retail stores. I used so many different things from vitamins, lip balms, name it. I saw a doctor in Oct. who prescribed me with Triamcinolone 0.1% to use for 2 weeks. After that didn't work I was given Nystatin & Triamcinolone for 2 weeks and that also didn't work.
Avatar f tn In November, I noticed an odd, small discolored patch of skin underneath the right corner of my bottom lip. The discoloration wasn't really red, just dark, and when I stretched the skin I could see tiny white pinhead sized bumps. But I also started getting red, slightly puffy bumps right on the lip line on that same right side.
Avatar f tn About 12 days ago I noticed my bottom lip started to swell. I had just used a new lipstick, the kind that stains the lips then you put on a clear coat. I have been using this type for many months. The lip was stinging, & burning along with the swelling. I also thought this was a reaction to some antibiotics I was on. I have never had this happen before. Now, 12 days later my lips are not swelled but they still have blisters that burn, even water from the shower burns them.
Avatar n tn I hav been expirencing this problem of peeling up of my upper lip skin for the past 4 years. I have tried all the medication possible and hav not got any success in reagrd to this matter.every 3 or 4th day my skin peeels of.It becomes white when it comes in contact with the any liquid ( water ) and then subsequently peels of. plz provide me me with some help.
Avatar m tn This is a recurring problem that I have tried to hide/cure with many ointments. Including various vasaline types, lip chap (with sunscreen protection), lip conditioner/balm (blistex sunscreen protection), also have tried Cortate Hydrocortisone ointment. Which only seems to glosson my lips and make them seem to be more red. I have also tried "Ihle's paste" for rashes, mostly used for relief of dermatitis and diaper rash, which seems to help momentarily, but only for 10 or so minutes.
Avatar f tn Through lots and lots of experimentation, I found out I am allergic to almost every brand of lip balm including Burt's Bees, Carmex, Blistex, etc. After that happened all hell just broke loose, my lips began getting tiny tiny red bumps which also had this yellow liquid seeping out. I would put Aquaphor (one thing I was not allergic to at the time) on it but it looked like it'd only get worse. so I just let it dry out and that seemed to help.
Avatar n tn So frustrating because no amount or type of lip balm seemed to help (vaseline lip therapy, body shop lip salve, etc etc). Additionally, the skin above my upper lip became dry, red and irritated. About 2-3 weeks after that, I started experiencing swollen eyelids as well as dry, wrinkled, red, itchy patches above and below my eyes. I could not apply the most mild lotion to those areas because it would burn, but it was so dry I wanted to do something.
Avatar n tn Although I feel quite sure I have not been in contact with anyone with the oral herpes virus, can the first outbreak of the Herpes oral virus cover the complete lip, top and bottom, without going outside the lip line? Can the genital herpes virus turn into the oral version or are they completely separate? Is a sunburned lip likely to have small blisters? Can one get "heat rash" or "prickly heat" rash on the lips? What should I do for treatment?
Avatar f tn My top lip is feeling better but the top lip never got as bad. My lower lip feels a little better but is still peeling more in the inner part of my lip and it seems a little raw still. The lower lip doesnt seem to be peeling quite as much as it use to so Im not sure if it is actually healing and the steroid is helping the skin to not peel as much.
