Hi so about a year ago I went to the doctor about white sores inside my lip not actually on my lip like the inside part. He thought it might be a yeast infection and took a scraping. It came back with nothing. Then it started coming back alot more frequent. I went to the doctor again about five months later "didn't see the same doctor". He automatically said it was herpes didn't do any scraping of the sore for tests. I am a chronic smoker and ciggerettes.
After being put on antibiotics for strep throat, bronchitis, and a bad bladder infection I ended up with a yeast infection(which is common on certain antibiotics) During the treatment of my yeast infection I had sores on the inside of my vagina from scratching so bad, Then a little bump (with no head or anything) appeared on my clitorous, making it so sore to touch. Again I am assuming that it was a little tear from scratching.
the day after the oral i noticed some sores in my bottom lip, inside my tongue, and a white little dot (looked like a raised taste bud that was white, and was tender to the touch)
MIND YOU I am a smoker, and have had sore lips and sore on the tongue in the past, rarely (been smoking more bc of being laid off)
the sores are not open, more like a little bead (had those before - i assume from smoking because its in the general area where the cigarette touches my lips AND I was tested a few weeks
and then a yeast infection... and finally about 5-6 sores developed so I knew something else was at play. I read online that he could transfer HSV1 to me through oral sex, though in terms of symptoms the only issue he had at the time was an eye infection (related?), not a cold sore, and nothing in his groin area that he can remember in his life. I figured I would go to the doctor and have a blood test and culture done and go from there.
Could be an STD, could be a yeast infection - which would explain the burning etc. You need to see a doctor because it will need treatment.
I searched online and determined this seemed to be angular chelitis, so I stopped eating sugar and began taking a yeast killing probiotic supplement. I used a vitamin E lip balm to soothe my lips while they healed. I read that angular chelitis can be caused by iron deficient anemia, which I have, so I am taking an iron supplement as well. Good news; the cracks are healing and subsiding.
I found two bumps on my vaginal lip and there a little tender but not anything major. I do have a yeast infection . so I thought it was that until i woke up this morning and found a similar bump on my lip.... so now im totally freaked out. I have only ever had two sex partners and im still with the second we have both been test and both came out negitive for anything. recently we had oral sex and he had a cold sore we didnt think anything of it till now.
I am 17 and sexually active. About a year ago I had what was diagnosed as a yeast infection by my family doctor. It was god awful. It itched so badly that almost my entire vagina was raw. I had discharge, yellow and white. All of my lymph nodes were swollen. I had a couple of sores down there and was having excruciating pain when urinating. I could barely sleep, couldn't walk, couldn't move my legs, couldn't wear any clothing.
It really prefers the oral area and doesnot shed that much and if any oral was given to you with no lip sores at the time, your risk would be close to zero you contracted it genital. The reason being that if a person has a active herpes lip sore they would not be giving oral sex as the lip pain would be excruciating.

A couple of days later I had what I believe to be canker sores on my lip and cheek. I went to a health center because my doctor can't see me until next week and she said it is a 50/50 chance it's herpes or a cold sore but wouldn't do a swab because the clinic doesn't determine them to be stds. It was never a blister and only appeared on the inside of my lip.
I have a similar case my lower inner lip always have canker sores same spot all the time. Just 2 monrh ago I had it but it foes away after 2 weeks. Then Feb. 14 It start again with symptoms like a feeling of hardening skin inside the lower lip then its so red I knew its coming. Then waking up with mucocele on same spot. Then have a couple of ulcers appears on same spot. I had a complete blood work and im negative in hiv syphilis chlamydia etc....
Still have sore throat and swollen glands and oops there was also two sores on my inner lip in mouth. All of this out of the blue. I have been in a monogamous relationship for past 8 years. Is this really hsv? Do you get single lesions in a line spaced apart that have white pus in them? Does it appear on the breast, mouth and ankle at the same time? Do they keep popping up with new lesions over days?
Hi, your risk for contacting herpes from your affair, where he did not have any lip or genital sores at the time, would be close to zero. It takes more than simple contact but rubbing grinding to force the virus into a nerve. Testing at the 3 month post exposure mark would be conclusive and at the 8 week mark would be a good indicator. All of what your describing does appear fungal related.
I later noticed in better light he had redness (in a pretty linear formation) below his lip and freaked out that it was a cold sore. he shrugged it off and said it was maybe shaving irritation. he has had cold sores in the past but never in that spot that i've seen or that looked like this. he has had no symptoms of any std's.

I was in the exact same situation 2 weeks ago! Same symptoms and everything i thought the worst. The doctor said the same thing to me that I had a really bad yeast infection but can't tell if the sores are definitely herpes (my partner claimed to be clean too but who knows) so she took a culture. I got my results back and they were negative for herpes. My symptoms went away after a week, but no one could tell me what it is!

We have talked about cold sores before because I am pretty paranoid about this stuff and he told me he thinks he gets them every couple of years, but he is never sure if they are really cold sores or just patches of dry skin that he gets in other parts of his body as well. He told me he does not think the current zit or whatever it is on his lip is a cold sore.
I continiously get lip sores on my bottom lip only. I have been getting them for years and have been prescribed many diffrent courses of creams tablets etc. There has never been one any better thanthe other and when the blisterring is at its most venemous the need to pick is almost un-bearable.
I keep away from lip balm etc as I find them to only feed the bug opposed to helping.
This would leave us with contracting hsv from the oral and if she did not have any lip sores at the time, the odds your having a genital outbreak would be close to zero from a one time affair.
Also first time symptoms like sores most always appear in the first week not 2 weeks. Also the head is not a common place for sores to form.
From what you describe it would not appear your having herpes outbreak.
