for the past 5 months on and off i have suffered from dry sores on the corners of my mouth after a while using cold sore lip cream it goes but then soon returns, its not contagious and not very painful but itchy and easy spreads and splits when i yawn !

s been getting a line of sore spots along his top lip. Not blistery sores like canker sores or fever blisters, just very small, VERY angry red spots that are very sore. Is this something anyone else has dealt with? And if so, HOW did you deal with it?

Now I continue to suffer from upper left lip problems. My lip in that area becomes numb, then progresses to a tingling, dry, burning feeling and the skin peels. These symptoms subside for a couple days and then I go through this painful, annoying, and embarrassing problem again. What could it be? Note: I do not have sores, the skin in that area of my lip looks really irritated and red and at time seems just a bit raised or swollen.

I just posted this same thing on another thread. I used Vagisil on my lip corners when they got those sores. Sounds gross, but worked really well for me. Good luck.

In addition to the cracking in the corners, the center of my lip felt very dry. Once I used the anti fungal cream for a while, the corners healed up some but I noticed the cracking moving down to my lower lip. At this point it did ooz some. If I went in the sun, the corner would get very inflamed and red. I went to see my family doctor and she stated that she thought I had a fever blister, at this point it had almost cleared up.

Helloo kindd, The day after I posted the previous message/post, my bumps actually went away within 24 hours. I only applied the bacitracin that I had, and of course drank a lot of water. I have noticed that after this happens, my lips seem to peel and the corners of my lips feel dry. Since you said not to put any cosmetics on my lips, I have not applied chapstick on them.

You may be Alergic to something. I don't get cold sores but frequently little cut at corner of mouth. Granulated vit C and a good supplement help. I put neosporin w pain relief on corners. Some lipsticks help. Others make it worse. You may also try apple cider vinegar. 2 T in a small glass of water. Or baking soda. Same 2 T in water.

A product called Oasis helps with the dry mouth - its a spray, sold OTC. During the day I use a lip balm called Carmex for the cracks in the corners, but I'm gonna go get some of your antifungal and try that for overnight. Did you need a scrip for Magic Mouthwash or is it OTC? You must be getting pretty far along in tx - what week are you in now?

I had a couple in the corners then a few small ones under the bottom lip then they decided to go into business together. Must of signed the contracts while I was sleeping. If the Abreva doesn't start to work I will go to the Dr on Friday and see if I can get some Valtrex.

But last sunday I kissed the same guy I mentioned here, for an extended period of time. He had no sores or nothing. But today the area around my lips and the corners of my lips have been bothering me; not really burning but not really tingling--the sensation is gone now. I have a small pimple just below my lower left lip and a pimple growing on my lower right jaw, and have a rash from being out in the sun all Sunday long.

So for a week my vermilion border has been burning and itching and I have had no sores or anything. And under the bottom lip is a red rash and the corners of my lips as well and the top of my mouth is starting to burn and now how three bumps none fluid filled or anything they are fairly separated. My lips do this if I use certain brands of lip balm and if I don't exfoliate them at least once a day. I use my face brush with my face wash rinsed off and on the slow speed setting to get the stuff that's peeling and ick off. You can use your toothbrush, too, or a clean washcloth. I'm not a fan of ChapStick brand at ALL. Everything they make has made my lips worse and caused cracked corners in my lips.

The medicine helped my sore throat but 3 days later the sores spread and were on my cheeck, gums, inside lip, and on the inside of my lower lip. It hurt to eat and swallow. It took another 3 days and they were gone. Since then every few weeks one or two will show up again in the exact same place on the top of my lower lip closest to the inside of my mouth. About six months ago I noticed a small blister-like lump towards the outer edge of my lower lip. Alright, well, first off, since I was a child, I've been getting cracked lips on the corners of my mouth on rare occasions. I'm now 17 years old, and I still get them every once in awhile during the cold weather, or if I don't get enough hydration, but since I've been drinking lots of water, these cracked lips haven't appeared in a long time. Well, at least until recently.

Cancer sores are not herpes or cold sores. A Cold sore is HSV-1 and appears usually outside the lip. Do a google image search and see for yourself. Wikipedia will clarify the difference between cancer sores and cold sores. Also, there is cracked mouth which are cracks in the skin in the corner of the mouth. This is not herpes either.

itchiness, swelling, irritation than then turns into canker sore like lesions. I have two canker sores on the corners of each lip and my mouth is FULL of canker sores (sides of cheeks, gums & roof of mouth). I haven't come across anyone experiencing it in both places. As far as your issue, it does not appear your having an outbreak as those with herpes lip sores are fairly recognizable, and im sure youve seen some one with it at one time. Its a blister that scabs over. You might want to call your friend and ask if they had a cold sore last week.

Theres some bumps on my top lip,bottom, but not on the corners of my mouth. They kinda look like pimples. My girlfriend and i had protected sex, but sometimes we would have oral sex.. What do herpes do? Are they harmful? How contagious are they? Are they only contagious when there's breakouts? It's hard to find these questions on the internet. About a month ago, on Easter Sunday in fact, I noticed painful cracking in the corners of my mouth. I searched online and determined this seemed to be angular chelitis, so I stopped eating sugar and began taking a yeast killing probiotic supplement. I used a vitamin E lip balm to soothe my lips while they healed. I read that angular chelitis can be caused by iron deficient anemia, which I have, so I am taking an iron supplement as well. Good news; the cracks are healing and subsiding.

m 25/male by the way, so a day or 2 after being on an antibiotic azithomycin I believe it was I had a noticeable red blotchy spot in the middle top lip, about the same area a dime has, and noticed these small white dots, it almost seems to break outside the boarder of my top lip, anyway long story short these white dots are in the corners and slight in the interior corners on my mouth, now these are not the worst part...

The acid in vomit from when you were bulimic may have caused this irritation. Coldsores may occur when you are unwell, they are usually easy to distinguish because of their tingling sensation and crusty appearance. I also have had some canker sores on the inside of my bottom lip that go away in a few days.I have been experiencing slight facial throbbing and soreness but that has now gotten worse and is starting to get more painful.My earlobe on one side seems to me to be somewhat swollen and is somewhat red, the pain/discomfort is more pronunced on this side.What could this be,i have gone to the doctor a while ago and they just gave me some cream for my lips.Any help would be greatly appreciate.
