Avatar n tn Are there any side effects from taking any one of the above injections? I would appreciate any help I can get. I've spent so much money on products that didn't work and it's quite frustrating to take drugs that have uncomfortable side effects and you don't see any results after suffering through them. Help.....
Avatar f tn I'd like to know what side effects you're referring to. Also, regarding the cortisone injections, I wanted to mention that it's extremely important that people consult the latest research regarding Dercum's Disease before they inject cortisone or use any other steroid hormones!
Avatar n tn I'd also like to know if anyone is using subcutaneous injections with success rather than intramuscular. SC injections can be given with an insulin needle, it is less painful and the needles are cheaper so I'd rather do that than IM injections. Those little buggers kinda hurt. I'm on day two of the vlcd and I've lost about 4 pounds so far. It was getting bad, I was up to 334 before going down to the 500 calorie diet. I must have gained 10 pounds in the gorging phase!
Avatar f tn This is much more invasive than the injections but the itch is so crazy I think that all of us are willing to do anything to get rid of it. It is a horrible itch! Also, since I've been in a few car accidents, my neck is straight (I've lost the natural curvature of the neck), and my trapezius muscle is tensed up. My shoulders are like bricks. The pain management doctor is going to give me some trigger point injections to relax the muscle.
Avatar f tn I still experience headaches about once a day above and in my right eye where the remainder of the tumour is still located. 4 days in the hospital I no longer needed my 5 Insulin Injections, my blood sugars stabilized to ranges of 4.5- 5 and ranged to 7 after meals. This has remained three weeks after surgerory I have not needed insulin. My Endocrinologist now believes I am cured of my diabetes I’ve had for over three years. I no longer have hypertension. My levels have ranged 133/88.
Avatar n tn 9 hours a day (with just a 30-min. lunch break). Have had sciatica and some steroid injections in the sacroiliac joint for inflammation, but it's been about 8 months since my last injection (the 4th in about 5 years). Reading here, I see a lot of mentions of possible nerve relationship to hip or sciatic nerve... I'm hoping it stops soon!
Avatar n tn Tomorrow I will see a neurologist. My personal doctor gave me injections of NICETILE in double dose ( that's the commercial name here in Italy, is a typical medicine for nerve inflammation) and also VitaminB to drink. I feel a bit relieved to see that for you things have gone slowly better ( even if not completely over). I am also very anxious and I'm taking some drops of tranquillizer in these days, otherwise I would be scared to death. Let's stay in touch, ok ?

Avatar n tn After I came inside, the tingling started. On Wednesday they released the vaccine to anyone in my state (NJ), not just the high risk individuals. Unfortunately, I think we will shortly have more people joining out little blog...
Avatar f tn My husband and I discovered that completely bypassing the GI tract by using reglan injections worked much better in the end. Chica didn't get the extra pyramidal side effects (extreme restlessness, shaking and trembling) from the reglan injections that she got from the oral meds. Our vet drew up a dozen or so prefilled syringes, and we administered them just under the skin at the back of the neck. If you're already doing sub-q fluids, this won't be any different.
