some blood did come out, but now on this day it looks as though it could be a wart on my lip, it has the white area like a wart, there is a hole in the middle of it (an injection site), maybe it could be a bug bite ? ive been putting ACV and neosporin on it. not sure what to do.
in the pics u cant really see the white circle but i assure its there (maybe in the last pic you can see it, be sure to scroll down). i am pressing my tongue against my lip to try to get it more exposed.
This morning I received an injury to my face which forced my teeth through my bottom lip and knocked out one of my teeth which was reseated. They gave me morphine by injection at the ER and prescribed Vicodin and said I could take that as soon as I got home. The Vicodin worked at first and I fell asleep. When I awoke, I was in excruciating pain, worse than when the injury first happened. It was 2 hrs before I can have another Vidodin so I took 800mg of ibuprofen.
I had deep cleaning on my right side for my teeth I had the numbing injection on my gums but the lady who cleaned my teeth she stuck the injection needle on the inside of my lips twice my whole mouth started tingly half my nose was numb and after I got out of the dentist I had two big huge bump on my lip with blood still there where it was injected at the bump turned white it's kinda hard to eat or drink something without my lip hurting I thought that their only allowed to numb the gums not
I had a root canal done 1 week ago and my lip and teeth on my lower right side is dumb..its the tingly numbness that you have when the numbness is wearing off..What could this possible be?
A while later, the dentist returned, when asked if my lower lip was numb I responded that the top was numbed, the dentist was surprised and gave me more injections and immediately began drilling. I let the dentist know that there was a lot of pain, so the dentist, I believe, gave me more injections, and then left to give the anesthesia time to work. Upon returning, my lip was numb, so the dentist began drilling again, but it was still extremely sensitive, so even more anesthesia was given.
1) Should oral Bisphosphanates be preferred over intravenous ?
2) Will Bisphosphonates be sufficient in this case, or are Teriparatides needed ? Teriparatide injections in India are quite expensive and monthly treatments for a year will double her monthly spending.
3) A second opinion was taken from a family doctor and he suggested taking Teriparatide injections alone. Does that not seem wrong - since parathyriod hormone will also increase resorption if calcium is deficient in the body ?
I have a friend who's had the Mirena for over five years. She, of course, had it replaced when she was supposed to. She loves it! I personally haven't gotten one because I'm hoping I will be in a place I can have a child in five years and don't want to deal with having it removed.
I personally am on the pill. It works well for me, and I set an alarm on my cell phone that automatically goes off daily so I don't forget it and take it at the same time daily.
I am noticing darkened skin on my upper lip. I assume this is from sun exposure. How can I treat this? It almost looks like a moustache, but it is not dark hair, it is my skin.
Now The swelling has gone down it is clear that there is a feankenstine style scar on my lip with flaps of skin. There is a pit in the front of my lip and then a bump next to it that sticks out.
Doctors, your advice would be very much appreciated. Several weeks ago, I went in to see my dentist for a new crown. After the first injection of anesthetic didn't take, he injected me with another. In the process, a shooting electric like shock went through my lower jaw. He explained this was because he had hit the nerve but it would be alright. Since then, I have been back to him complaining of pain in my teeth along my lower jaw. The only relief I get is from ibuprofen.
I was never advised of the risks of this surgery (that I could have permanent nerve damage or that I would be left with a huge ball like scar in the center of my lip. My lip is still swollen causing my lip to be exposed to the air (it feels raw all the time). The scar is hardening and it hurts ( I can also feel a band that runs horizontel along the incision line. I have seen an example of a mucocele surgery on the internet and it looks nothing like what this oral surgeon did to me.
After the 2nd incident, the surgeon lazered the eye. Now he has him scheduled for a avastin injection. I am frightened that it will lead to another detached retinia, or infection, or total lose of vision.
1) Is this a standard procedure for my probllem.?
2) is it the optimnal solution.?
3) Is there any topical solution that might help instead?
4) What are the chances it will cure the situation?
5) Should we get a second opinion? or am I just an over anxious wife.
but shaving every day started to really avragate my upper lip. So I would sometimes pluck the hairs and now my upper lip is just red and gross, sore looking and the actual facial hair growth above my lip still comes in super dark and ugh. I'll also get a couple zips up there so shaving makes those red too- Just a big mess and so not attractive-- looks like a dirty teenage moustache. Such a weird situation lol What should I do?
He just had to get a shot last week b/c he had sores all over his belly from biting and scratching. Now he has a fat bottom lip. He had the same thing in February, got a shot and it went away. I read that fish based foods can cause allergies. He only eats chicken flavored food but I had just given him a salmon flavored treat a day or so before the lip flare up. Anyway, I know that the vet will not want to give him another steroid shot so soon after the other one.
I had an angioma (red spot) removed from above my upper lip. They used a needle to cauterize the spot which was supposed to make it go away. In January, she was diagnosed with Occipital Neuralgia and was given a cortisone injection, - the pain got 10X worse. In February, she was diagnosed by another Doctor (Neorosurgeon), with the same condition and had a neve block performed, the pain increased by another 10X. She is now oin the hospital, the Neurodurgeon syas he can't perform surgery, pain management says they have nothing to offer. What are the alternatives? I have read abour Occipital Nerve sectioniong. Is that an option?
