Avatar m tn  (day four of my troubles, day two of the lip bump): slight sore throat was there in the morning but completely gone by late afternoon. I could feel it's dry everytime I swallow. No more fever, nothing. The small blisters on my lip are gone. Left behind is what looks like a carpet burn and a very large lump, like I lost a fight. I did apply toothpaste this time too, but not as much. No bleeding or oozing, no pain or anything at first, just the feeling of a swollen, carpet-burned lip.

Avatar n tn I have a blister inside my upper lip and it has blistered, burst, healed, blistered, burst, healed etc. for a year and a half now. The healing only lasts for a single day. In one week it will have gone through two cycles. It is painful to brush my teeth and sometimes to eat and I have to avoid drinks that are citric. I have been to the doctor several times and three months ago he finally took a good look with a light and saw it. He promised to refer me to a specialist but nothing has happened.
Avatar n tn I developed a blister on the inside of my lower lip a few weeks ago. It's not sore just looks like it's filled with water. It's gotten slightly smaller but still there. And now my daughter, age 6, has 2 in her mouth around the same place. Could this be something contagious or a vitamin deficiency? Is it something I should go to the doctor about or just wait it out?
Avatar f tn I have a small fluid filled blister on the inside of my bottom lip. It has been there for over a month now. I am not sure what it could be. It gets really big and I pop it because I can barely chew my food without biting it. It has a clear, gooey liquid in it and sometimes a little bit of blood. After I pop it, it is small for a day or so then it puffs up again. My mother in law suggested I use allum on it.
Avatar f tn About 12 days ago I noticed my bottom lip started to swell. I had just used a new lipstick, the kind that stains the lips then you put on a clear coat. I have been using this type for many months. The lip was stinging, & burning along with the swelling. I also thought this was a reaction to some antibiotics I was on. I have never had this happen before. Now, 12 days later my lips are not swelled but they still have blisters that burn, even water from the shower burns them.

Avatar f tn I noticed my gums are receding and making it very painful to eat, brush my teeth, etc. I also have a blister on my bottom lip, which I've never had before so could i possibly have an std? Or is this all caused by the strep and should go away with the antibiotics?
Avatar m tn I got hit in the mouth while playing football and a red bump with a white blister on top formed on the inside of the bottom lip. That was 3 weeks ago and the bump and blister are still there. It has shrunk slightly, but shows no signs of going away. How long does this type of injury usually last? If the suggestion is to see a doctor, should I see my Family doc or my dentist?

Avatar n tn I've had chronic lip swelling and weeping, top and bottom, for 6 weeks now. They start with the standard HSV-1 symptoms: tingling, burning and itching. But, immediately following these feelings my lips begin to turn bright red, swell 2-3 times their normal size and weep. Large bumps that look like they’re under the skin become apparent, but they don’t look like a standard blister. Although, my dr seemed to think they do look like blisters.
Avatar n tn he he he Try holding ice to the lip several times a day. That should help the swelling go down somewhat.
Avatar m tn hello, i have a problem. my upper lip started to swollen up on april 22. i went to the doctor and he said it was a cold sore( i never had a coldsore). i have been under extreme stress. he gave me some antiviral pills for 2 days. i took them and started to use abreva on it. than on day 3 i went to a second doctor and said he couldnt see any swelling and i didnt need additional pills.he assumed the pills stopped the coldsore. i told him he couldnt see the swelling because of the lighting.
Avatar n tn The first time I had it was two months ago. The swelling and bump was on my top lip in the exact same spot as now for three days and then it went. Now today I am noticing that the swelling is going down and it is the third day. It is tingling a bit but have not started to itch as yet.
Avatar f tn Now there is a hard bump on my lip that feels warm and slightly numb on my lip where the swelling once was. Last night I took one of the pills the Korean doctor gave me, but I have no idea what they are called or if they are expired! I want to try to go to the doctor again, but I don't know of a dermatologist near me that speaks English. Does anyone know what this is? I was worried I may have contacted Herpes, but have not had any other problems on my body and it is not becoming a blister.

Avatar f tn It was then after that i realise the whole right side of my vagina was extremely swollen like a balloon, mostly the lip. Also starting to go purple, looking like a huge blood blister. Thinking it would be better in the morning, but its not, The tiny-est bit less swollen although irritates to walk and is black coloured...
Avatar m tn Also there looks to be almost a white pimple blackhead forming on the edge of my lip. The swelling has lasted a day and wasn't there last night. It also feels like the lymph glands under my jaw are getting involved but I can't tell. I suspect I might have herpes but am not sure. Are there any other signs/symptoms I should look for? If it is Herpes, how long will it be before I see blisters. Currently I don't have anything on the surface, only a small white dot on the border of my lip.
Avatar n tn Quick question - I am a 30 year old female and 3 days ago I noticed a pimple-like bump on the vermilion border of my lower lip. When I push my tongue to my lip (as if to stretch it) it feels hard to the touch and becomes white in color. I don't think it is a cold sore (herpes 1) because I have never had anything at all on my lips, it does not look like a blister, it is not clustered with anything else, nor has it began to ooze. Can you in fact have a cold sore without those symptoms?
