I have a red patch on my upper lip that is red, dry, but no blister and does not itch. It burns when I get somethign acidic on it. I noticed that I had a blister under my tongue a few day ago. My upper lip feels a bit tight, like after getting windburn. I did have a scab over the area, like a layer of soft skin. I'm 51 years old, female.
OK... so I preface this by saying I knowingly did something VERY stupid.
48 hours ago, I made out with someone who had a cold sore scab on their lip. I didn't kiss the scab directly (it was in the far right side of the upper lip).
OK, ok... now, I know there is a very real risk that I will end up with oral herpes because of this. My question is this: Is there any chance I may NOT end up with it? Or is it pretty much a done deal?

The blister formed into a scab which bled a couple more times when I caught the scab....it looked very unsightly and my friend advised the best thing to do is put on some blistex. Since I have used the blistex the red blood blister turned white and seemed to grow and look quite puss filled. I have since decided to stop using the Blistex I am now left with what could only be described as a wart like skin tag that is raised up from my lip.

i woke up one morning with a swollen lip and blister on my bottom lip, nothing like this has ever happened before. did not experience pain, burning, etc. but lips were very dry throughout. on about the 4th or 5th day it already settled and was almost gone, just the scab was there and some redness. but then another blister appeared next to it. same process with the second one.
This morning when I woke up, it looked like i had something else going on with my lip. There was no blister, but it looks like a scab is trying to form. It looks like that, but I dont' think that it is. The color of the irritated area is a brownish color, like a young scab. It is almost in the shape of my tooth, but like I said, I am pretty sure that I didn't bite my lip because I would have remembered something that bad.
About 6 days ago I was watching Seinfeld and eating 2 overly salted cucumbers and when I got to the bottom of the bowl I felt the left side of my bottom lip go numb and tingly and when I looked in the mirror I found there was a clear blister that had formed on the inner part of my bottom lip on the left side. Hi, as you may not know that upward of 70% of the adult has oral herpes mostly acquired at childhood with symptoms of lip sores that scab over. If this was a herpes blister and she gave you rubbing oral sex and the scab make contact with your penis there would be an increased of acquiring it on your penis. The scabbing stage is somewhat low risk depending if the virus was still on the surface or if the scab came off during the act.
it was dead center but more on the bottom of the lip if you want to say. it was resting on my bottom lip but it was on my upper lip, lets put it that way. just one bubble. i think it was clear or white liquid or a combo. clearish white maybe... no blood involved. kind of looked like a burn blister. I say I think it was clearish white because I immediately popped it when I realized it was there. . actually i just scrapped my teeth across it and it was gone. one swipe with my front two teeth.
So I went to the bathroom and took a closer look and looked like dry scab on two parts of my lip but are very tiny you have to get tremendously close to even see it. t feel no signs of burning or itch till the morning i woke up one morning drooling on a dirty pillow and the corner of my mouth was wet so i wipe/scratched it that lead to making it worst. 3 mins later it started to blister and even scab for the past few days. before i even made a deal about it i remember masterbating and probably even torn up some skin on my penis from that. i touched the blisters and masterbated... so that means i could of gotten the virus on my penis now.
My burning sensation on lips is gone but the white dots are still there. The blister/white pimple was center of top lip. My blister which appeared one week after exposure has popped two days later. On Saturday night I noticed a yellow scab like bump on my bottom lip. I got close up and examined while moving my lip into a smile it cracked open and a watery material came out. I immediately panicked and put a strong antibiotic cream on it. And just watched. The next day a blister had reformed under and I noticed two more yellow like blister bumps in completely different places. Does this sound common?
Thanks for the speedy response. I'm also having some mild pain on my upper lip as well as these black marks on my lips and near side of my mouth. Also one little bump on my upper lip. It's not a blister but like a little bump. Should I see a doctor or is this nothing?

For the past few days I have had a rough patch of skin on the line of my upper lip. It has not blistered, and it isn't painful. Also I have never had a cold sore. However I have taken extra precautions in case it is a cold sore, like washing my hands if I touch my mouth. My question is, if this is a cold sore, and it's my first outbreak, will it be likely that it could spread to my genitals if I touched the patch and then touched somewhere else?
