Hello, From the symptoms it can be folliculitis if the bumps are found close to the lip line and can be cold sores if you had an infection due to HSV1. Pain, burning, tingling, or itching occurs at the infection site before the sores appear. Then clusters of blisters erupt which break down.

Well, I still have the little bumps on my top lip (mouth) but they are not bothering me (i still use chapstick/vasaline on my lips every 15 minutes addicted), but I did realize yesterday in the exact center of my top lip (mouth) it looks like a pimple or a blood blister. It looks like it has a white head on it. It was not painful at all, but I tried to pop it and nothing came out, did not pop just really hurt. Now (next day) it is very sensitive.

My mom had what looked like a fever blister on her lower lip. Problem is that it never went away!! Months later her bottom lip still looks bad and it has spread across her entire lower lip. It is painful and it scabs up and falls off over and over. She has been to the dermatologist several times, been on several antibiotics and has used lots of creams still nothing has helped!! Any advice would be very helpful!!!

m assuming it made my lips worse and spread the infection across my bottom lip. They are white little blisters with reddish marks in middle. It's the first time that something like this has happened to me. I would love to see a doctor but I'm fairly new in my province, and I haven't found a family doctor yet. Any suggestions of what it could be would be greatly appreciated.

I have a blister inside my upper lip and it has blistered, burst, healed, blistered, burst, healed etc. for a year and a half now. The healing only lasts for a single day. In one week it will have gone through two cycles. It is painful to brush my teeth and sometimes to eat and I have to avoid drinks that are citric. t happen now are chest infection type stuff, sunburn like rash (but feeling of burning skin does), lip blister, extremely sore throat seems to have stopped recurring too. But after 4 months I tested negative on herpes blood tests. I am still convinced I have herpes, but looking for other options as it has been mentioned that ebv can cause similar symptoms. No the first doctor didnt do any testing. And no blister have formed in 7 days. Im going back to the second doctor today and hoping its an different king of infection.

OK... so I preface this by saying I knowingly did something VERY stupid. 48 hours ago, I made out with someone who had a cold sore scab on their lip. I didn't kiss the scab directly (it was in the far right side of the upper lip). OK, ok... now, I know there is a very real risk that I will end up with oral herpes because of this. My question is this: Is there any chance I may NOT end up with it? Or is it pretty much a done deal? I already have HSV2. Some people never learn!

t, I really would like to know what they are, as the discolored spot is still under my lower lip, and the painful split in my lower lip is not typical of say just dry lip symptoms I get sometimes.

About 12 days ago I noticed my bottom lip started to swell. I had just used a new lipstick, the kind that stains the lips then you put on a clear coat. I have been using this type for many months. The lip was stinging, & burning along with the swelling. I also thought this was a reaction to some antibiotics I was on. I have never had this happen before. Now, 12 days later my lips are not swelled but they still have blisters that burn, even water from the shower burns them.
