Avatar n tn the average cost of lip augmentation ranges from three hundred to five thousand dollars. 1035252 tn?1427227833 I had a lift with augmentation, I had 2 lttle boys at the time almost 2 and 4, my husband went on a hunting trip 3 days after i had it done. If I had to do it again, that wouldnt have happened! I usually have a high tollerence for pain but I was in a lot of pain and needed strong pain meds for a good solid week. I was very sore for 3-4 weeks after. It gradually got better and by 3 months i was totally well.
Avatar n tn What's the difference between socket preservation and ridge augmentation? Is socket preservation preferred for a lower molar and ridge augmentation for an upper molar?
Avatar f tn Im 37 years old and just had my first baseline mammogram in preparation for breast augmentation surgery. I am scheduled for a stereotactic biopsy for an area of calcifications that were found in my right breast. My questions are, what are my chances that this could be a sign of cancer, and praying that its not, would I still be a candidate for breast augmentation surgery? Im worrying myself sick over all of this and very nervous about the results!
Avatar m tn the ct showed signs of Hydronephrosis and although my kidneys did drain they took a long time to do so (radiation ct scan) so i was sent further to urology. urology have discovered i have 2- hutch-diverticulum, mega ureters and rat tail ureters. under the vcm they found no renal reflux but my pressure graph was unusual. The pressure in my bladder was minimal until i was near full then it shot up when full and voiding.
Avatar f tn I had a breast augmentation like 6 months ago. one of my boobs is numb still. i still cant feel the nipple or around it. it is so numb that it is just irritating to touch. the dr. says give it a year after surgery. but it could be a life long thing i'm stuck with. Anyone else ever had this problem?
Avatar f tn I had a breast augmentation in May to fix where I had breastfed my first baby. We hadn't planned on getting pregnant again but I am currently 9 weeks. I still plan on breastfeeding and am curious to what my augmentation will look like afterwards. Has anyone else previously had a breast aug and breastfed after that could fill me in on what to expect?
Avatar f tn My question is about recovery time. Those of you who know me know that I had a tumor removed and a total hysterectomy with "all-clear" for cancer two weeks ago tomorrow. You all have figured out I'm not a very patient person when it comes to myself, but, hey, it's been two weeks. The past couple of days I've been walking in the brisk Michigan air to get some color back in the cheeks(Darn Iron isn't working fast enough, either).
Avatar f tn Hi everyone, A bit of background...I have a 7-8cm cyst on my left ovary. CA125 of 10, ultrasound shows no sign of a malignancy, so they are not too concerned about that. Dr. I was seeing wasn't confident in doing a cyst this size laparoscopically so he referred me to another Dr who is apparently an "expert" in removing large cysts like this by "bagging" it and removing it that way through the tiny incision instead of having open surgery.
1570782 tn?1296689507 Hello and welcome! I havent had the surgery but have had the discussion with my NS about the expectation afterwards. I am awaiting a surgery date now. He said that it can take a long time and it is common to have up's and down's with recovery. So try to take it easy and give your body time to heal. It could take a long time as Selma said since we all heal differently.
Avatar m tn There is variance in recovery times. Some patients were back at work in five weeks others several months. Your current health status may put you in the several weeks category. For some insight, right after the surgery, you will be kept in ICU unit and closely monitored for around 24 hours to 48 hours. . If there are no complications, you will leave the ICU and be placed in a normal hospital room where you can recover.
Avatar f tn I had a vitrectomy to repair a macular hole 9 months ago and have been told that it is likely that i will develop a cataract. I have to go for a check up next week and i was wondering that if i do have a cataract how long is the recovery time,i am retired so i don't have to work ,but i do look after my 8 month old grandson while my daughter works. I have heard that you can't do any bending and lifting after a cataract operation, but not sure for how long.
Avatar f tn Im a ftm at 22+6 and I've heard some people say that having an epidural makes your recovery time longer and worse. I have a low pain tolerance and don't know if ill be able to handle labor without an epidural, even tho the thought of that needle in my back terrifies me. Sometimes I think I'm almost more afraid of the recovery process than actual delivery. What have some of you other moms experienced? How bad was the recovery process?
Avatar f tn I have chronic periodontitis and severe bone loss. Unfortunately, #6 needs to be extracted. My dentist proposes to extract the tooth and when the site heals perform a block bone graft (there isn't enough bone for a socket perservation). Originally ridge augmentation, GTR, and block bone graft were going to be perfomed at time of the extraction. After studyng my X-rays my dentist changed his mind. I'm disappointed and concerned; I believe that the bone in that area will recede even more.
