Im 37 years old and just had my first baseline mammogram in preparation for breast augmentation surgery. I am scheduled for a stereotactic biopsy for an area of calcifications that were found in my right breast. When I was younger, I got my belly button pierced and my body rejected it. I also have had knee surgery and a screw was placed in my knee cap. t heard anything for that week, I went ahead with my scheduled breast augmentation. A few days after my augmentation I get a voicemail from my doctor's office stating they were calling to schedule my mammogram. I thought this was a mistake since I had had it done already. Doctors, your advice would be very much appreciated. Several weeks ago, I went in to see my dentist for a new crown. After the first injection of anesthetic didn't take, he injected me with another. In the process, a shooting electric like shock went through my lower jaw. He explained this was because he had hit the nerve but it would be alright. Since then, I have been back to him complaining of pain in my teeth along my lower jaw. The only relief I get is from ibuprofen.
I have chronic periodontitis and severe bone loss.
Unfortunately, #6 needs to be extracted. My dentist proposes to extract the tooth and when the site heals perform a block bone graft (there isn't enough bone for a socket perservation). Originally ridge augmentation, GTR, and block bone graft were going to be perfomed at time of the extraction. After studyng my X-rays my dentist changed his mind. I'm disappointed and concerned; I believe that the bone in that area will recede even more.
