10276206 tn?1414080456 t mind because they seemed to stop at night so suited me quite well even if I was having a long period. Only needed to use a pantyliner. On the plus side I went months without having a period. It was good as I have a rubbish memory so don't have to remember to take birth control pills. Some people don't Got on well with it. I guess I was lucky.

Avatar f tn I just stuck with the pill because I could remember to take it at the same time every day reguardless if what works best for you remember, no birth control is %100 effective. I got pregnant with my son on 5 years of religious birth control. And my friends mom got pregnant with an iud. Birth control and protected sex is always your best bet!
Avatar f tn i am now almost finished with my second month of birth control. i am on the placebo pills, and today i got my period, but its really light. is this normal?
Avatar f tn I was on the pill for about 8 years. Took it religiously. I ended up pregnant with my first (born May 2014) started taking bc again afterwards and I was breastfeeding. I ended up pregnant again. (Now 16 weeks) let me say, I too have only one ovary and the other is tact. Doctors dont have a clue. They say my husband has power swimmers.
Avatar f tn First i would like to say im 24 yrs old and i am on birth control, however my period ended on 1/19/2014 and tonight 1/24/2014 i began to have bleeding. I was having lower abdominal pain and felt like i had diarrhea. When i go to the restroom my panties are full of dark blood. When i wipe its light red. Not understanding because this has never happened since i had my birth control inserted in my arm in 2012. My period has been off for 5 days.
Avatar f tn Are you on any form of birth control? When were you due for your period? If i were you i'd wait until i was due for my period and if it is normal and seems to flow evenly i would not worry that i am pregnant and i would get on birth control. If it doesn't return or isn't normal i would take a test to rule out the odds of being pregnant.
Avatar f tn I'm on birth control and I started my period almost a week early, is this normal? I'm sexually active & I've been on birth control for about a year now and this has never happened.
Avatar f tn A lot of young women have unpredictable periods. If you are on birth control, then your period should be more predictable. For me, birth control made my periods unpredictable and light and last NINE days. Forgetting to take a pill and then continuing to take your pills may cause the abnormality in your menstruation cycle. Most young women do not know when they ovulate(ovulate is when your ovaries release an egg. Also a time when you are not on your period, typically).
Avatar f tn Things you should also know, I was on birth control and the month before I forgot to take my birth control on a weekend trip and got my period, at an irregular time. This month I got a light period at the same time but while I was taking my birth control properly, then at the end of the packet is where I start my missed period count. I did start bc because I had irregular periods and this missed period has happened before when I was younger from messing with my bc but never this long.
Avatar n tn My girlfriend had been on birth control for about two years. She always had her period on a saturday. Always. She had to stop taking the pills for a month (her prescription was messed up), but once she got her pills back, she didn't wait for her period to start before starting the pills. So my question is, would it be normal for her period to start on a saturday still? Because the period after she started the pills again started on a saturday and lasted for nine days.
Avatar n tn okay, im currently taking the Alesse 21 days Birth control pills. It's a 3 weeks on and 1 week off right? I've been reading about Birth Controls and it say that while being on the pill, it can cause you to have LIGHT period or no period at all. What if you finished the first pack (the last one for the third week) and you expect your period like the next day since it's the fourth week but it doesnt come (and you're sure your not pregnant).
Avatar f tn I have a 18mth old and im 29 weeks pregnant. So after this one i want to go on birth control cus i have no intentions of having another anytime soon.
Avatar f tn I don't trust birth control I was on it for 5 months and didn't miss once and I got pregnant I'm now 21 weeks good luck
Avatar m tn I been on birth control pills for 5 years, about a year ago the doctor switched my birth control pills to a lower dose due to my blood pressure, while im on the pills my period pretty much came when it was suppose to, but starting last month it was a week late very light and this month its already a week late and no sign.. there has been no change in anything beside now im on 3 times of alllergy pills, my question is, is this normal? why all of a sudden my period is acting like this?
360318 tn?1340393363 So my question is should I get on birth control? How will this effect the way I act and the way I feel? I have heard bad stories about the pill, and that it makes you really cranky, and I am already cranky once I ovulate, and I am worried my boyfriend will leave me if I am more cranky, because he has threatened to leave a few times when I had ovulated and had been cranky.
Avatar f tn Also you should be getting regular check ups, having protected sex and using some sort of birth control. Even if you are on birth control you can still get sexually transmitted diseases if you aren't wearing condoms. HPV is a very common std and it can effect you for the rest of your life. Your partner may not even know he has it and you can get it and pass it to other guys, who won't even know either who can continue to pass it on...... Cervical cancer is no joke PLEASE BE CAREFUL!!!!!!

Avatar n tn Birth control pills can and will cause spotting. It's pretty much the #1 most common side effect of being on the pill. Pregnancy has nothing to do with it. Good job on using protection! So many kids your age don't use any, and then pay the price for it.
Avatar f tn I dont do north control. I was on the depo shot for a year while my husband and I were dating. We broke up for awhile and I never went back on it b/c it took my body forever to get back on track and I don't like the idea of messing with my body (I'm weird!) Lol. But we only got pregnant when we planned it! Talk about luck! (I pry just jinx myself!
