They used Buffered Lidocaine injection which I did not feel any of.. I must admit, I did put over the counter Lidocaine cream all over my breast about an hour before the procedure. My copay on the patch was $50 month and my copay on the cream $5 so I am using the cream which actually works better as I can apply the cream to my low back myself where the patch not so easy.

I don't think the cream is lidocaine, although they usually do mix some lidocaine in with the serum after they draw it out of the patient's vial. You should talk to his dr about the cream. I know that patients at my allergist's office that use it (some are adults) wear plastic wrap on their arm for the 30 before the shot. I am sure that your dr will know about it.

well i heard that if you use alot of cream down there it makes it more possible for outbreaks to occur.. and im pretty sure i have a bikini line infection where the hairs along my bikini line become ingrown and I just dont know what is safe to use down there an what isnt. But I'd also like to know if there IS a cream treatment for HSV 2 that could prevent outbreaks.

try topical anelgesic cream it does wonders for mine, if that does not work ask your sdocto for somethin containg lidocaine
