I have either a severe sinus infection or mono(will know tomorrow), but the doctor prescribed me BP Poly 650 every 4 to 6 hours, corzall liquid every 4 to 6 hours, lidocaine every 3 hours, and promethazine 25mg at bed time, I broke out in a rash from my prior antibiotic and have to take 2 benadryl until it's gone, and I've been taking ibuprofen to relieve the swelling and help my fever.
My dentist gives me my shot and see another patient, by the time he got back to me I was fully numb. and the numbness last for 8 - 12 hours. I am highly allergic to lidocaine it puts me into anaphylactic shock, I have an epipen but sa that I don't have to use that I just make sure everyone is doing their job and I always wear my medic alert bracelet.
ve had quite a few stellate ganglion blocks and have had some success. They thought the lidocaine infusion might help the other pain I deal with and kill two (or more) birds at the same time so to speak.
KittKat23-78, Sorry the infusion didn't help you!! I hadn't heard about having several a few days apart; I'll have to ask about it. Mine is (at least one) being paid for by worker's comp. I'm hopeful but also trying to keep things realistic and in perspective.
left pointer finger, at work i stuck a cedar sliver under the nail past the start point of the nail. I attempted to pull it out and it broke off. only 1/4 inch came out so a good 1/2 inch is still in there i can see it thru the nail. I attempted to cut and split the nail with razor blade but once i got part way thru nail it hurt bad. my co-worker gave me a new 10ml bottle of lidocaine, he uses it to give himself stitches.
Has anyone ever been prescribed this for genital outbreaks or PHN? My doctor did for PHN. I just tried it for the first time it hurt to apply and doesn't feel the most pleasant now. Has anyone ever used this and what was your experience?
I am a 25 year old female and I had a seizure while having dental work done about 3 weeks ago. I had been given lidocaine and nitrous oxide. Following the appointment, I went to a neurologist and had a CT scan and an MRI done. Both showed no brain abnormalities. I had eclampsia 4 years ago and had seizures which resulted in the early delivery of my child. Aside from my seizures 4 years ago, I had no previous history of seizure disorder.
I would feel a whole lot better without using any anesthetic during the procedure since I had a terrible experience back in 1989 when I was given a skin test for Lidocaine and Meprivacaine? both WITHOUT EPINEPHRINE,YES,WITHOUT EPINEPHRINE and I made sure of that before the skin test.They had to discontinue the Lidocaine because of heart side effects.But they finished with the other one and they thought that everything was fine and sent me home..The next day,BOOM! they hit with a vengence..P.
Re: Lidocaine Enemas. I am warning everyone to be careful. My brother just died 3/31/12 from a lidocaine enema. He was only 28. (Lidocaine Intoxication) Lidocaine in liquid form. I don't want anyone elses loved ones to die like this. I hope everyone will be careful when dealing w/lidocaine. it is a dangerous substance when not used properly.
I am 31 and have been diagnosed with RSD/CRPS and it is very painful and it all started with a football injury in High School. I am trying to see what other people with the same condition are receiving for treatment and it is working for them. I am currently on 40mg Oxycontin 3times a day and Oxycodone imm realease 30mg 3 times a day, Baclofen 10mg 4 times a day, tramadol 50mg 6 a day, Vitamins of all kinds, testosterone injection once a week, Naproxen 3times a day, Trazadone 150mg at bedtime.
Spinal tap last Wednesday and that night, again severe headache, nausea, and vomiting. We were admitted to the hospital and given IV decadron, depakote, compazine, toradol, and Benadryl. She started to feel a little better, but we decided with the neurologist to do a cranial nerve block. After our discharge, we have continued with nausea, vomiting all weekend. We did increase her topamax to 50 mg and this is a side effect of this drug. We are truly at a loss and feel helpless.
t find any scientific articles that specifically deal with positive test results of cocaine from the use of lidocaine (anesthetic) but it is mentioned a few times. A few years ago my mom was diagnosed with vaginal and rectal cancer in the end the doctor prescribed her lidocaine 2% jelly for painful intercourse and bowel movements. Would it be safe to use it during anal sex? I have used it before after the birth of my daughter and it worked wonders. I would like an idea on it before I did use it.
In a simple dental procedure, I had what I can only describe as a seizure after getting what was supposed to be lidocaine and epinephrine injection. The area never got numb, and the pain from the point of the needle each time they attempted to inject me was painful. I was taken to the ER and released after 8 hours with no explanation.
I read that lidocaine can cause a seizure. I have had injections many times with no problem. What could have gone wrong?
Benzocaine and Lidocaine are two quite different products, neither are trade names (unlike xylocaine which is a trade name of lidocaine).
Normally I do not correct folks on forums, but the dangerous dose difference between the two is significant. 20% benzocaine may be acceptable for some applications, 20% lidocaine is likely to end in a bad way.
however, they were unable to get any calcifications in the 12 samples. The doctor apologized and said the lidocaine washed away the calcifications. The final report stated that there was stromall fibrosis without evidence of microcalcifications. Hi there. You should rest in a dark, quiet room during an attack. The timing of treatment is most important and is very effective if given at the start of attack. Simple painkillers taken in soluble or liquid form so that they are absorbed faster. Suppositories are preferred since nausea or vomiting is a problem. Co-codamol contains paracetamol and codeine with antisickness medicine buclizine. Other combinations of pain killers with anti sickness medicines like domperidone and metoclopramide.
I received my shipment today of ocean potion and rec. by another person on this site. I found it to provide instant relief of itching. It's temporary but still I would recommend it since it is so cheap. Much cheaper then Sarna. Huge bottles 20.5 oz each, like $3.50 a bottle. I got 2 shipped by wal mart since it's not available in Phoenix at wal mart or walgreens. Cost me $12 with tax and shipping. It's worth having in the arsenal, good for riba or incevik.

Such a beautiful name! I am sorry to hear about your migraines and the nausea and exhaustion that they are causing.
Excedrine Migraine is great for occassional migraines or headaches but long term use causes the medicine to trigger more migraines, which is the exact opposite goal of the medicine in the first place.
The hydrocodone is quite a bit stronger than the Excedrine and I am surprised it is not working and not even making a dent in the pain.
