1264863 tn?1391118193 hi there, go call you physician or dentist and ask for a prescription of benadryl, maalox, and lidocaine. It is commonly known as the "magic mouthwash" and I used to prescribe it all the time for patients going through chemo or had systemic diseases that created chronic apthous ulcers (aka canker sores.) If for some reason you can't get to the dr., use the combination of equal parts liquid benadryl and maalox (or mylanta) gargle and swish for 60 seconds then spit..
Avatar n tn How long has he had the spots? Usually mouth problems heal in about 7-10 days. Some of the mouth rinses like what we call "magic mouth wash" it has lidocaine in it which can be a numbing agent. I'm sorry for your little one in such pain. Motrin is better because it has anti-inflamatory in it. "magic mouth wash" has Benadryl, maylox, lidocaine, and I'm not sure what else, but if you are interested I could ask the dentist that I work for what the prescription is.
Avatar m tn The BP Poly should take care of the rest of the rash. The lidocaine is ok. I would dump the Ibuprofen, Benadryl and use the Phenergan if you are having problems with nausea/vomiting, if not, don't. He authorized all that medication and he doesn't know what is going on with you yet? Wow.
Avatar m tn I have a compound for carafate, lidocaine, and Benadryl. When it was mixed, it was liquid and now it's clumped and formed a gel-like. Is this supposed to be like that?

Avatar m tn I would see a dentist to make sure what it is. In the mean time you can mix 1/2 and 1/2 liquid benadryl and maalox or other liquid indigestion medication and swish it around your mouth. Tht won't hurt you but y ou need to find out if the ulcer is due to yeast because you will need an anti-fungal to get rid of that.
1216595 tn?1284933208 it’s a swish ‘n swallow concoction that typically has benadryl, Maalox and lidocaine; and sometimes nystatin to help with any fungal problems. It numbs on contact; most insurance covers it too, I think. Drs are usually familiar with it, it’s used in cancer chemo too.
Avatar f tn My dentist gives me my shot and see another patient, by the time he got back to me I was fully numb. and the numbness last for 8 - 12 hours. I am highly allergic to lidocaine it puts me into anaphylactic shock, I have an epipen but sa that I don't have to use that I just make sure everyone is doing their job and I always wear my medic alert bracelet.
Avatar n tn Regarding the mouth sores, have they given you any Magic Mouthwash yet? It’s a swish ‘n swallow Rx of lidocaine, Maalox, benadryl and sometimes nystatin; it numbs on contact, and really helps with thrush and other things.

Avatar f tn I am using Benadryl, Keri lotion, and Hydrocortizone cream for the rash and itching, but I will admit, so far mine has been mild. As for the Fire in the Hole, that side effect has been a doozy. I am using unscented baby wipes with aloe after going to the BR (Huggies), hemorrhoid cream, sometimes A&D ointment (for any outer excoriation), prescription Lidocaine 3%/Hydrocortizone 0.5% cream, and hemorrhoid suppositories.
Avatar m tn It is a ‘swish ‘n swallow Rx concoction that contains various proportions of Maalox, benadryl (anti-inflammatory), lidocaine (anesthetic), and sometimes Nystatin (antifungal). It numbs on contact to make eating and drinking a bit easier, although it doesn’t last too long. Typically it’s prescribed to take 5-6 times daily, or as needed.
Avatar f tn So I have really bad vaginismus to the point where intercourse can only be done with a lot of lidocaine and with the help of dilators. I am 15 weeks pregnant and concerned about delivery. Will my vaginismus prevent me from vaginal delivery? Is anyone else dealing with or has dealt with this??
Avatar f tn I'm a 30 year old woman with nearly constant mild to moderate itching with several spurts a day of severe itching that keeps me from sleeping or focusing. It began three years ago during my 20th week of pregnancy and never left. I have tested negative for all allergens. I've had a kenalog shot, attarax, benzodiazepenes. I've used lidocaine, menthol, etc type lotions (and three or four prescription ones). Nothing helps. I don't have dry skin.
745313 tn?1323142298 If you’re just trying to manage this, there’s a prescription product called ‘Magic Mouthwash’ that needs to be formulated by the pharmacist; it contains equal parts of Lidocaine, Maalox, and Benadryland sometimes Nystatin as well. This stuff numbs on contact, and provides near-immediate relief, but doesn’t often deal with the root cause. This **** can be a nuisance; I wish him well.
Avatar n tn The burning when urinating and after voiding. I feel in my vagina area and rectum. I took Benadryl, Prelife and another antiacid med. What else can I do? The burning sensation weaks me up at night. I know it is not an UTI because last month when I had the same sympt. my Dr. said it was not an UTI. Im tired and don't know what else to do. Help.
Avatar f tn ask for a prescription of Hydroxyzone and I would also add go ahead and try a little hydrocortisone cream and maybe alternate it with a little lidocaine cream. My guess is it's part of the overall rash. If it doesn't improve, I would definitely call the doctor. Use the same philosopy as for the overall rash: clean, soothe, protect.
Avatar f tn ve had quite a few stellate ganglion blocks and have had some success. They thought the lidocaine infusion might help the other pain I deal with and kill two (or more) birds at the same time so to speak. KittKat23-78, Sorry the infusion didn't help you!! I hadn't heard about having several a few days apart; I'll have to ask about it. Mine is (at least one) being paid for by worker's comp. I'm hopeful but also trying to keep things realistic and in perspective.

Avatar m tn left pointer finger, at work i stuck a cedar sliver under the nail past the start point of the nail. I attempted to pull it out and it broke off. only 1/4 inch came out so a good 1/2 inch is still in there i can see it thru the nail. Avatar f tn he can prescribe a prescription preparation called ‘magic mouthwash, which contains Nystatin, Maloxx, Benadryl, and Lydocaine.
