levora

Avatar f tn I'm taking birth control pills since yesterday. My doctor didn't ask me to take a pregnancy test because I was sure I wasn't. But this morning I threw up and I feel nausea. I'm also experiencing dizziness. I'm taking levora. So now idk if I'm pregnant or it's just the first effects of the pills. I talked to my doctor and she said I shouldn't be throwing up.
Avatar f tn In May 2007, I started taking Levora birth control pills on a continuous basis to avoid normal menstrual cycles. I stopped taking them in March 2008 to see if they had helped stop the endometriosis for good. It didn't work, so my Gyn re-prescribed Levora 3 weeks ago. Within a few days of taking Levora again I noticed that I was much more mentally vulnerable and by the third week on Levora I was completely destroyed emotionally and mentally.
Avatar f tn A lot of antibiotics cause birth control to be ineffective.
Avatar f tn I have been on levora birth control for four months now and my boyfriend and I had unprotected sex two days in a row and he finished inside of me, we usually don't do that. However, now I'm getting nervous because I hear that levora is a low dose pill and they are easy to get pregnant on.. I usually take it at 8 am sometimes I'm an hour late but usually I always take it at 8. I'm on the third week of my pack so I should be starting my period next week.
Avatar f tn t been on any sort of birth control for a good six months now and my period is still super irregular. I've been skipping whole months. Sometimes it'll come on the 30th day of my cycle, sometimes they'll come 7 weeks apart, etc. It's impossible to track. I've talked to my doctor and they said unfortunately they can't put me on any sort of birth control that will regulate my period without running the increased risk of blood clotting.
Avatar f tn m not sure about this but i just went to the clinic and got switched back onto my old birth control today in hopes that my anxiety will go away. about six or seven months ago i stopped taking yasmin because i just didn't feel like dealing with having to rememeber to take a pill everyday....(lazy i know).
Avatar n tn I've been on combination birth control for about 5 months now (first Levora, then switched to Portia 2 months in), and I've had breakthrough periods before. In the past, they were like my regular periods: lighter, but similar general consistency and flow so I would have to wear a pad. Recently, I've noticed that when I wipe, there's been light traces of blood which I thought was just my breakthrough period.
Avatar f tn Hello, If you suffer from dysmenorrhea (painful menses) or irregular menses, yes, the birth control pill can be used to help regulate your menstrual cycle and improve dysmenorrhea. In your case, having had a tubal ligation, the indication would not be for birth control but for the symptoms you describe and that is fine. I'm not sure what you mean by taking four pills. You should take it as you otherwise would: one pill at the same time each day.
Avatar m tn so for the past 6 months i've been on levora, a birth control. the past couple of months i've been having aches on my right side, i'm pretty sure it's my ovary (and no i do not think it's ovulatin, those aches last only a day). these aches are on and off the whole month.i had my withdrawal bleed about 2 and a half weeks ago so i doubt i'm pregnant. i'm very good at taking the pill as well. i've been with my.

Avatar f tn I started taking Levora birth control pills at the end of February. I had been on this brand before, years ago, with no complications after being prescribed Ortho-TricyclineLo which was a nightmare. It was recommended to me to start taking BC due to potential hormonal imbalances (potentially PCOS due to excessive hair growth) and this lined up with a new sexual relationship so I agreed even though I prefer not to use hormonal birth control.

Avatar f tn I'm not sure what country you're in but birth control pills are prescription only in the USA. You wouldn't be able to get them without a prescription. Also doctors like to do some type of exam before just writing a script to make sure you don't have any obvious problems that would preclude you from getting on the pill. There's no way to get around the insurance issue. If you want to pay less via insurance then it would be in the records and your family would see.
Avatar f tn I just need suggestions for birth control pills that are good for people who are extremely sensitive to hormones. I've had the Mirena IUD, which didn't cause me to gain weight, but caused my skin to look awful and other issues. I know every person reacts differently to birth controls, but I'm really starting to feel like there is nothing out there for me. I just don't want to gain weight or get acne.
Avatar f tn Anyone have the depo shot as a previous birth control ? How did you like it? What were your side effects ?
Avatar n tn My husband and I have been trying to have a baby since May. I was on Levora (birth control) and went off of it in April. For the first few months April, May, June, July...my periods were irregular, which is to be expected, since I went off of the pill. They SEEMED to be regualar in Aug. Sept. and then in October, I didn't have a period. I wasted so much time and money taking pregancy test (blood and otc) and no pregancy.
Avatar f tn I started oral birth control 20 days ago (levora I think its called). My husband and I had unprotected sex abt 2 weeks before that and my period ended on the same day I started taking the pills. Since then we usually use condoms but a few times haven't. I heard its not uncommon for a woman to miss her period the 1st month on these pills. I've been cramping sorta and have a lot of back pain these last 4 weeks. ( I started on my peach pills Sunday).
Avatar f tn I've tried 3 different kinds of birth controls (Lutera Levora & now Tri-nessa) in the last 3 months to help with my sever migraines. The goal was to have a period every 3 months to avoid month migraines with my period. And during these three months I have experienced continuous bleeding. About two weeks ago I started taking Tri-Nessa and i still am bleeding (definitely more than a spotting).
Avatar f tn Hello. I am a 34 year old Caucasian female. I took birth control for two months last year (Levora 15/30). I stopped taking them in late June because it was making me tired, and I had a really nasty bout of acid reflux and sweating one night, and other digestive issues. The heartburn went away for a few weeks, but then came back with a vengeance and wreaked havoc on my life for the next couple of months.
Avatar f tn As far as the cysts go, I just had to take some time off from the meds and go on birth control pills to make them go away. If you do have a cyst and take the clomid, then only the cyst will grow, not the follicles. (at least that's what my RE said) I took two and half weeks off from any fertitlity meds and went on birth control pills. Now the cysts have gone away and am starting the injectables next week.
Avatar f tn Happy Boyfriend Who Thinks He is Going to Get Some that the price of entry is protecting you, and that means condoms plus birth-control pills. He'll probably still be glad to get some, and will man up and wear the balloon.
Avatar f tn Like I told my brothernits deffinatly safer AND cheaper to get on birth control cause he would get one of those pills like every other day and I was like danggg thats a lot of money to spend on that lol
Avatar f tn In May of last year, I decided to take birth control (Levora 15/30) because of heavy and painful periods. The first week of taking the pill, I developed digestive upset, queasiness, and felt very tired during the first week. These symptoms subsided. The following month, when I was on the second pack of birth control pills, I woke up in the middle of the night with severe heartburn and sweating. The previous night I had tacos for dinner, and had some ice cream for dessert.
4377655 tn?1354246709 Yes, that is how pregnancy is achieved, but it depends on your fertility cycle. You are not very fertile at most times of the month, so most people don't get pregnant as soon as they try. You could get an IUD if you need pregnancy prevention you don't have to think about. The copper kind doesn't even use hormones, so it's great except that it increases bleeding for the first year. It does not protect against STDs, of course.
Avatar n tn I'm 16, and I had protected sex along with my birth control. I am experiencing a little bit of brown spotting, and my period starts within the next few days... Is this a sign I could be pregnant or is this normal before my period since we used all precautions..?
Avatar f tn Hey mommi please help me out I have never taken birth control before and wanted to get an IUD because I'm bad at pills I'm in Ontario so I don't think it's covered what's the price range like and is it safe??
