levora

Avatar f tn I have been on levora birth control for four months now and my boyfriend and I had unprotected sex two days in a row and he finished inside of me, we usually don't do that. However, now I'm getting nervous because I hear that levora is a low dose pill and they are easy to get pregnant on.. I usually take it at 8 am sometimes I'm an hour late but usually I always take it at 8. I'm on the third week of my pack so I should be starting my period next week.
Avatar f tn I'm taking birth control pills since yesterday. My doctor didn't ask me to take a pregnancy test because I was sure I wasn't. But this morning I threw up and I feel nausea. I'm also experiencing dizziness. I'm taking levora. So now idk if I'm pregnant or it's just the first effects of the pills. I talked to my doctor and she said I shouldn't be throwing up.
Avatar f tn In May 2007, I started taking Levora birth control pills on a continuous basis to avoid normal menstrual cycles. I stopped taking them in March 2008 to see if they had helped stop the endometriosis for good. It didn't work, so my Gyn re-prescribed Levora 3 weeks ago. Within a few days of taking Levora again I noticed that I was much more mentally vulnerable and by the third week on Levora I was completely destroyed emotionally and mentally.
Avatar f tn A lot of antibiotics cause birth control to be ineffective.
Avatar f tn t been on any sort of birth control for a good six months now and my period is still super irregular. I've been skipping whole months. Sometimes it'll come on the 30th day of my cycle, sometimes they'll come 7 weeks apart, etc. It's impossible to track. I've talked to my doctor and they said unfortunately they can't put me on any sort of birth control that will regulate my period without running the increased risk of blood clotting.
Avatar f tn m not sure about this but i just went to the clinic and got switched back onto my old birth control today in hopes that my anxiety will go away. about six or seven months ago i stopped taking yasmin because i just didn't feel like dealing with having to rememeber to take a pill everyday....(lazy i know).
Avatar n tn I've been on combination birth control for about 5 months now (first Levora, then switched to Portia 2 months in), and I've had breakthrough periods before. In the past, they were like my regular periods: lighter, but similar general consistency and flow so I would have to wear a pad. Recently, I've noticed that when I wipe, there's been light traces of blood which I thought was just my breakthrough period.
Avatar f tn Hello, If you suffer from dysmenorrhea (painful menses) or irregular menses, yes, the birth control pill can be used to help regulate your menstrual cycle and improve dysmenorrhea. In your case, having had a tubal ligation, the indication would not be for birth control but for the symptoms you describe and that is fine. I'm not sure what you mean by taking four pills. You should take it as you otherwise would: one pill at the same time each day.
Avatar m tn so for the past 6 months i've been on levora, a birth control. the past couple of months i've been having aches on my right side, i'm pretty sure it's my ovary (and no i do not think it's ovulatin, those aches last only a day). these aches are on and off the whole month.i had my withdrawal bleed about 2 and a half weeks ago so i doubt i'm pregnant. i'm very good at taking the pill as well. i've been with my.

Avatar f tn I started taking Levora birth control pills at the end of February. I had been on this brand before, years ago, with no complications after being prescribed Ortho-TricyclineLo which was a nightmare. It was recommended to me to start taking BC due to potential hormonal imbalances (potentially PCOS due to excessive hair growth) and this lined up with a new sexual relationship so I agreed even though I prefer not to use hormonal birth control.
Avatar n tn Does birth control cause your vagina to be dry and itchy all the time? I started taking it about a month and a half ago, and I am always dry and itchy. my boyfriend when he touches me, it burns sometimes, and I can't seem to get wet. Is this a side effect from the pill?
Avatar f tn The brown discharge is most likely old blood that took awhile to come out. I get that sometimes. And it's perfectly normal for birth control to affect your body differently after you have a baby. Before I had my first, I was on seasonique and after about 2 years I stayed bleeding through it and had to switch. After she was born, we tried it again and it worked perfectly. It's possible that you don't need as high of a dosage anymore, OR that birth control just isn't right for you.
Avatar n tn The first birth control pill I was on, my periods were regular at the same time every month. I never missed a period. My doctor switched my pill and I didn't have a period for 3 months. When I went back to the doctor they said that maybe the new pill was too strong for me, and they switched it again. I had a period for the first two months on this third pill and now I have stopped getting my period again. I took three pregnancy tests and they have all came up negative.

Avatar f tn I asked the nurse nd she said they will give yu a low dosage in birth control. she said breastfeedin in itself is a form of contraception so. I wanna try the nuvero ring (however yu spell it).
Avatar f tn I just need suggestions for birth control pills that are good for people who are extremely sensitive to hormones. I've had the Mirena IUD, which didn't cause me to gain weight, but caused my skin to look awful and other issues. I know every person reacts differently to birth controls, but I'm really starting to feel like there is nothing out there for me. I just don't want to gain weight or get acne.
Avatar f tn My periods are very irregular. Meaning, I would probably get a period in a 2 month time frame, never know when it's coming. I started a new form of birth control > Depo Shot. I received the medicine in my buttock. I keep hearing & reading that you're really supposed to wait a week if you received the medicine w|o a period.
Avatar f tn Which iud did you have? Iud are the lowest of any birth control dosage since it won't travel throughout your body and only release it right there. There's also nonhormonal iud. Or you can just try condoms and spermicide. Or female condoms. I would be skeptical about the miscarriages linking to tthe bc but well who knows:( that's why some people won't get on bc because of fear of not being able to have babies for a long time..
Avatar n tn My husband and I have been trying to have a baby since May. I was on Levora (birth control) and went off of it in April. For the first few months April, May, June, July...my periods were irregular, which is to be expected, since I went off of the pill. They SEEMED to be regualar in Aug. Sept. and then in October, I didn't have a period. I wasted so much time and money taking pregancy test (blood and otc) and no pregancy.
Avatar f tn I started oral birth control 20 days ago (levora I think its called). My husband and I had unprotected sex abt 2 weeks before that and my period ended on the same day I started taking the pills. Since then we usually use condoms but a few times haven't. I heard its not uncommon for a woman to miss her period the 1st month on these pills. I've been cramping sorta and have a lot of back pain these last 4 weeks. ( I started on my peach pills Sunday).

I have looked into the implant in your arm and that is looking like a good option!
Avatar f tn I've tried 3 different kinds of birth controls (Lutera Levora & now Tri-nessa) in the last 3 months to help with my sever migraines. The goal was to have a period every 3 months to avoid month migraines with my period. And during these three months I have experienced continuous bleeding. About two weeks ago I started taking Tri-Nessa and i still am bleeding (definitely more than a spotting).
Avatar n tn i am on the birth control pill and skipped my last period. a week before i came to the next section of inactive tablets my period started which i thought was normal considering i skipped my last, but now i have been having cramps ever since aswell as bleeding and it is still going strong. im really worried and the pain is quite intense at times. it has now been the rest of that week plus 3 days of inactive tablets, im wondering what does this mean? what is going to happen?

Avatar f tn Hello. I am a 34 year old Caucasian female. I took birth control for two months last year (Levora 15/30). I stopped taking them in late June because it was making me tired, and I had a really nasty bout of acid reflux and sweating one night, and other digestive issues. The heartburn went away for a few weeks, but then came back with a vengeance and wreaked havoc on my life for the next couple of months.
