Hi i am a 30 year old guy from India. when winter seasons come i am suffering from cold symptoms like nose blockage. some times running nose when drink water multiple sneezing comes so please assist me which drug i can take?will i go for any allergy based test ?i used Monticope which contains Montelukast and Levocetirizine but no relief yet. pls help me.

I've been allergic ever since I was a little boy and I've learned to live with that. My problem is that during the last couple of years, I seem to get more and more sensitive to the allergens that trigger my reactions, as well as more prone to have shortness of breath as a primary reaction!
This year, although spring hadn't affected me so far, I happened to catch a cold (whether it was the flu, a cold or bacterial infection I don't know!
Runnning nose and watery eyes and i have taken levocetirizine dihydrochloride 5mg... it seems better but my head has become heavy after taking the medicine..
please advice and can i take steam ?

Hi, stuffy head, runny nose, sneezing, sore throat are the symptoms of common cold due to infection or allergic rhinitis. Some viruses causing infection are rhinovirus, influenza, adenovirus, echovirus etc.
Infection is transmitted through inhaling droplets and touching infected areas. Sinusitis has symptoms like feeling pressure on forehead, sinus drainage, fatigue, poor sense to smell and taste, bad breath, sore throat, ear pain etc.
Hydoxyzine worked wonders for me (once I got a high enough dose). I take 25 - 50 mg. every 6 hours. I had a bad rash all over my body except my face and buttocks and it stopped the itching and is clearing the rash.
I wish they would have started it in Dec,. but it seems with these side effects we are all re-inventing the wheel. The docs seem clueless.

She prescribed Nasonex 2x2, Ipratropium bromide inhalation and Levocetirizine for 10 days. A follow up 10 days later, i was still coughing and she then prescribed Narivent which was so disgusting that i almost puked from it and Prospan (Hedera helix syrup). This did not help, yet again, and i was still coughing. Third follow up after 10 days was prescribed Nasonex again, salt water and a seretide inhaler.
Hi I have had severe Hives for 2 mos. This is the worse outbreak I've ever had, and my last case of Hives was 9 yrs ago. I was in the ER 2x this past month, put on IV steroids, antihistamines & Ranitidine. I had extensive blood work done for a multitude of alleries- all negative, Lupus, Lympoma, Lymes disease, CAT scan, all negative. I've done 2 rounds of Presnisone (which helped greatly), but 2 days after the last Prednisone pill- boom the hives came back bad.

I had few low risk exposures for which I underwent few Antibody & HIV Proviral DNA PCR test.Thankfully all were negative.
I have been taking anti allergy tablet(salt Montelukast Sodium & Levocetirizine Di hydrocloride) once a day & anti anxiety tablets on and off. Do these medicines have any bearing on the antibody or HIV Proviral DNA PCR test.. I mean can they lead to false negatives in any of them.
I have been suffering for five months with severe nasal congestion. I finally broke down yesterday and went to my family practioner. She prescribed me levocetirizine. Its a newer allergy medication and supposively the best! Its class B which is in same caterogory as benedryl. I'm telling you I have been through 14 bottles of afrin and have not been able to go anywhere without my tissues. I have taken one so far and not one tissue today!
nowadays i stopped taking claritine as too much antihistamine is nt really good for the body..whenever i get this(usually from 2am-9am),i will shower myself with cold water...and then i will go out for a walk at a -1 degree celcius environment..it seems to relieved the itch and also the patch will be gone in a few minutes time or approximately an hour..im still searching for natural remedies for hives..
He gave me penicillin kind of medicine for 1 week course and levocetirizine for allergies. It is now my 4th day of the treatment but still the same problem. I still have that "floating kind of feeling". I will just wait for the last day of taking my medicine then I am going back to him for follow up.
m still positive so I take the flagyl again and no sex but after getting tested again a few weeks later the GYN said I was loaded with trich again but when the lab work came back it showed negative for trich. The Dr. Told me to take the flagyl for 3 weeks. I have no fowl smell and no odd discharge. My husband has no symptoms but I have had this crazy intense itch on my labia majoria (outside groin area for about 4 years w/o relief).
I had a friend who has the asian flush and also told me that he got some type of itchy rash on his stomach. He told me that he continued drinking and he eventually stopped getting the itchiness. I can only recall getting hives the first couple of times I drank but the last few times I have only had the swelling in the forearms and smaller bumps. These bumps are hard to describe but it looks like the hair follicles are raised a little if that makes any sense at all.
everytime i apply medicated lip balm, my lips cracked and it smell.. yuck... i stop the med and went for the 4th doctor for allergy injection. she refuse me instead gave me levocetirizine dihydrochloride 5mg.. but i didnt eat it.. i asked her if my problem wont stop what she can do.. she told me that nothing else.. maybe other med.. what was that????! i believe theres a cure! i havent take any med now... my rash stop.. i have no swollen lips anymore..
I had to stop taking Mirtazapine last night as the side-effects I was getting from it are apparently rare and will not go away. I have already taken Citalopram, Sertraline and Mirtazapine for my anxiety but didn't get on with them. I have a phone appointment with my GP this evening and would feel better knowing I had an idea what medication might work best for me. I don't want to take Prozac or anything that will make sick/vomit, dizzy or mimic other anxiety symptoms.
I was diagnosed with hyperthyroidism in 2007, and have been taking Methimazole (Tapdin) since and Atenolol (Therabloc) for about five months. Last month, I saw an immunologist for my dust allergies, and she prescribed me Montelukast Sodium Levocetirizine diHCi (Zykast). Well, that's what it says on the wrapper haha. Anyway, I'm not sure if I this may play a part in my rash. I'm not sure but I may have gotten the rash around the same time I started taking this.

Your doctor seems to be right. You may not be convinced but insect bite seems to be more likely. Whenever the insect bite it releases some chemical which produces inflammatory response causing skin lesions. Topical steroids and anti-infective measures are the main stay of treatment in case of insect bites. Please stick to your doctor and do as advised.
You can apply some moisturizer over it to avoid scarring.
