Avatar m tn I am taking tablets for my minor neural problem for the past 4 years, The tablets i am consuming are Oxcarbazepine (Trileptal) -300mg and Levetiracetam (keppra) -250mg. Now I am looking for a tablet which should have both of this content in the same. I feel guilty that I am taking more tablets and my health condition is improved now. so I planned to reduce my tablet dosage. so I look over this- i.e.
Avatar f tn I see these color blobs that move in my vision that shouldn’t be there, they don’t show any connection to stimuli so I don’t have synesthesia. I’m on levetiracetam aka keppra and clobazam aka onfi. When I was on oxcarbazepine (trileptal) and levetiracetam (keppra) I started having these weird headaches where I would lose my vision, hearing, smell, and coordination, but I could still speak and feel. The doctors are pretty much stumped. Has anyone ever had a situation like this?
Avatar f tn A large percentage of dogs respond to one anti-seizure medication. For some, one is not enough and they need 2, 3, or 4 others! (I have seen it). It is not excessive to have more than one drug. Each drug works on a different receptor in the brain. The more ways a seizure can be prevented, the more likely the dog is to not have them. We start off giving one and hope they respond, but may need more.
Avatar m tn I am an Indian Citizen living in the US. I have been taking LEVETIRACETAM (to control partial-onset seizures) since 2011. Currently, I am in perfect health conditions. As a precautionary medicine, I get the medicine from India either myself or through a friend/family member traveling between India and the US. Due to the recent COVID-19 pandemic, I am running short of medicine. I have my prescription and medical certificates to support my condition.
Avatar f tn can levetiracetam 750mg (2 2 times a day) be taken with amlodipine 10mg (1 time a day) and albuterol 90mcg (2 pumps 4 times a day). Can these be mixed? I this too much medicine?
641243 tn?1235752084 s epilepsy and our neurologist got me a 2 week prescription in order for me to find cheapest source for the medication in the future, assuming his seizures are better during that two weeks. I got the generic form today - 2 weeks worth for $150. She emailed me and said "I understand that Sam’s or Costco pharmacies may have it for the cheapest price. The other way to obtain it is to order from an online Canadian pharmacy." <---any ideas on how to do this?

Avatar f tn We have an amazing 4 year old austrailian shepherd. He's always been very healthy. Little over 3 months ago we changed his dog food from diamond natural(he's ate since birth) to pedigree. This was due to a move, diamond was going to be hard to find at our new location so figured we would switch to a dog food easier to find. It seems shortly after that he had his first full seizure. It was so scary, didn't understand what was happening.
Avatar f tn Hi there, the various side effects with keppra or levetiracetam are dizziness, irritability, tiredness, fatigue, severe allergic reactions, extreme dizziness, drowsiness, weakness or tiredness, memory loss, behavior changes like aggression, panic attacks, restlessness, new or worsening seizures etc. in the period immediately after a seizure attack, it could be the post ictal phase or confusion. Consult your neurologist for your evaluation and change of anti epileptic medication. Hope this helps.
Avatar m tn At this point of time he is not able to speak more than two words in a row. His Hb is 8.9. He is on valporate, topiramate and levetiracetam. His MRI scan revealed "Assymetric Right Temporal Horn prominence without any difinite evidence of mesial scerosis" His walking pattern is also erratic. Most often he adopts "Toe Walking". When he walks slowly, which is rare, he walks alright. Always he tries to rush up and runs in an imbalancing manner.
Avatar m tn Hi, welcome to the forum, his condition is suggestive of myoclonus or myoclonic jerk. But it needs a detailed evaluation for type of myoclonus (Physiologic, Essential, Epileptic or Secondary) and also the focal discharge arising from the region of the brain. This condition needs o be differentiated from restless leg syndrome wherein the symptoms are predominantly restricted to legs and there are other causes.
Avatar f tn Almost one third of the rest are of the opinion that Levetiracetam has worked as a mood stabilizer for them. Keep in mind, these are reports from patients who are not diagnosed with any mood disorder such as bipolar disorder. Your daughter will have to receive the minimum effective dose of 900mg, as per her weight (45 kg). Having said that, she may respond to 500mg. I guess she is not receiving any other medicine. She will have to take the medicine in divided doses initially.
Avatar m tn Since I am not sure what the branded names are for these in India, here are the generic names for the most common anti-epileptics for seizures of the gelastic type: carbamazepine, clobazam, lamotrigine, levetiracetam, oxcarbazepine and topiramate. These medications rarely stop the seizures completely but reduce the frequency and severity of them. I hope this helps, my prayers are with you and your son.
274158 tn?1276347187 Not towards me. Just other dogs......I thought he was showing aggression towards my daughter, but he was just trying to sniff her crotch! He is gross! I guess that's what dogs do! But, no agression towards us humans, just dogs, which isn't fun....
Avatar n tn DOGS CANNOT TAKE DECONGESTANTS!!!! They cannot metabolize them. If your dogs ears are that bad they are in need of antibiotic and antifungals. You can ask your vet to prescribe an antibiotic like cephalexin and an antifungal like fluconazole both which can be called into a walmart in your area and they are on the $4 generic list so it keeps cost down. As for itching they can have antihistamines WITHOUT DECONGESTANTS in them.
Avatar n tn As far as I'm aware, benadry is safe for quite a long time in dogs. The general doggy dosage is 1 mg/ per pound, so that's what your vet has prescribed - most people tend to go too low on the dosage. Using it for only the summer months should be no problem at all. I had a dog who needed it a good 8 months or more of every year and it never caused any trouble. Hope it works well for your Bostie!
Avatar m tn Are there painkillers for dogs that are safe? Tramadol caused my 11 year old chow chow Emily to have seizures after two days 4 pills and the Rimadyl side effects I just read here are equally as bad. Both were give to her by her vet of six years. If anyone has any ideas please contact me at ***@****. Thank you.

Avatar m tn for the last two months my anxiety are troublsome when i get up in the morning and become low when i take morning dose.but whole day i also feel anxieous.
Avatar m tn Myoclonus can be caused by numerous illnesses but it can also occur for no specific reason, so try not to stress yourself out as that actually makes myoclonus worse. I've got 2 forms of myoclonus so if you have confirmation that this is what you have, please contact me if you want to know more or just need some support.
Avatar m tn I'VE BEEN HAVING THIS PROBLEM FOR ABOUT 1 1/2 YRS. NOW. I MASTURBATE ALOT BECAUSE WHEN I HAVE SEX WITH MY WIFE, I LOOSE MY ERECTION. EVEN WITH MASTURBATION I TEND TO ONLY GET PARTLY ERECT IF I'M ABLE TO ACHIEVE THAT. THIS IS MAKING IT DIFFICULT TO ACHIEVE ORGASM/EJACTULATE AT ALL. MY FATHER HAS THE SAME PROBLEM. COULD THIS BE INHERITABLE? I AM 46 YRS. OLD AND MY DAD AND UROLOGIST THINKS THIS IS BECAUSE OF THE MEDICATIONS I'M ON AS FOLLOWS: 1) IBUPROFEN 800MG.
Avatar f tn PLAIN popcorn without butter and salt is an OK snack for dogs, IN MODERATION. A couple of pieces throughout the day as a snack won't hurt him in the least. You don't want to give him popcorn with all the trimmings, though, as it will eventually make him fat, just like it does to us!
