I need help please. My doctors had me on Levaquin for 4 years straight. I believe it's destroyed most of my immune system. Since being off Levaquin for the past few months, I have had chronic bronchitis and pneumonia since. My muscles and body is in agony. I now have to use oxygen all the time, day and night. The recovery times from surgeries are greatly extended now. I'm having another back surgery in a few weeks.
t send me to a pulmonary specialist because there is nothing (I was told) that can be done about it. However, in the past two years I have now had some pretty bad brushes with bronchitis and now am fighting a nearly month-old issue with coughing and head congestion. My doctor prescribed prednisone, Symbicort, and also wants to give me Levaquin. I am over 55 years old, and I also have pre-diabetes (6.0 A1C - and am on metformin), and high blood pressure being successfully treated via Benicar.
Five months ago I had taken Levaquin. The doctor gave it to me for bronchitis. After a couple of days I started feeling pain in my upper chest, shoulder, down my right arm and right underarm. The pain feels like a needle is jabbing me. Sometimes the pain will go away and somtimes it is very bad and lasts for weeks at a time. I also have some musle pain in these areas. Can you please help me figure out what to do about this.
, i go crazy, no sleep. shake in side and out , my heart beats so fast was so tired but there was no sleeping , when i finally did sleep had night terrors when i take steroids. i now only take them when it;s steroids or die. they also give me zanax and that helps. be careful and taper off the way the doctor wrote the scrip and call him or her and let them know ur side affects.
My prior medical history is gastroparesis (of unknown etiology) and was just recently treated for a sinus infection with Levaquin 750 mg for 5 days. I was also very nauseous and dizzy today for several hours. Had a vague pain behind my eyes. Any thoughts?
has anyone had bad side effects from useing aniniotics such as levaquin? i started haveing severe symptoms a few days after i started takeing them such as sore joints muscle pain dizzyness extreme fatigue an weakness..
I have been sick since mid November with acute brohnchitis. Here it is almost January and I am no better. Deep cough with greenish phlegm, chills, fatigue, body aches. No fever at all, and have been on doxycycline and levaquin, with a cough syrup at night. I'm having a lot of chest pain when breathing. Is this still brohncitis? The doctor said my lungs were clear, but I'm not so sure. I can feel myself breathing in and out mucous.
I have been on a course of Levaquin 2 weeks ago and am still sick. Prior to this cold I had another cold and was on a Z pac, can't seem to get any better... Never had a fever, just productive cough raising green phlegm.. Should I be working about my immune system at this point?

Six months ago I suffered tendinitis in both Achilles tendons following a course of an antibiotic based on Fluoroquinolones prescribed for bronchitis. I also suffered a loss of balance, muscle bulk, weakness, all symptoms associated with peripheral meuropathy. What can I do to alleviate these symptoms?

I took mass amounts of cipro and levaquin. I have all over the body stinging for 3 years, heart pounding, terrors, I feel I am going to rip my skin off.. I feel so altered.. I also have tiny crystals all over my hands like glitter.. morgellans? If anyone has the all over the body stinging which feels like you are in a bag of hornets. heart pounding and terrors please write me..I am only hanging on by a thread.
She has been on Levaquin for about a week for bronchitis. Would this be effective if she had caught anything from me?

My girlfriend started Yaz in the middle of a cycle In mid september and then proceeded to get bronchitis and was on every antibiotic you can think of...levaquin, cipro, arizthro....steroids, etc. She still is.
Ok, my issue here is this. on October 6th, I developed a redish, itchy and dry rash on the base of my penis where it connects to my body. My girlfriend developed a yeast infection on the night of Oct. 4th, we had unprotected sex that morning and did not wash....
t have a UTI but did show blood, white cells, large amounts of protein and something else, I cant remember. Doctor told me to stop the levaquin and gave me the Z-pack for bronchitis. I was refered back to the urologist that I had seen years prior. The dip test he did showed there was an infection. He then sent me for an ultrasound and that showed my bladder wasnt empting. So after more ultra sounds have found that my bladder is typically holding between 220 and 380 of urine.
I am pretty sure I just have a UTI but if for whatever I have an STD will the Levaquin that I am taking for my UTI cure chlamydia or gonorhea? I am taking 500mg for 6 days. Please help me.

Hi everyone...has anyone ever been on Levaquin (it's in the same class of antibiotics as Cipro)? I was on it for 5 days of my 10 when I started getting some wrist pain and they took me off it. I didn't even know it causes tendon damage.
Just wondering if anyone else had those side effects???
I think my mom was on it (IV) but didn't have any side effects. All I can say is if they want to put you on it, ask for something else unless there is no choice! Thanks!

Went to see a doctor, who confirmed prostatitis--not BPH--with digital probing, and gave me azithromycin, then levaquin, ten day courses of each. Neither had any noticeable effect beyond making me constipated. I did online research and found out that most prostatitis is not bacterial, a possibility the doc (who was elderly) did not even appear to consider.
I am mentally sane, but these terrors make me feel off the edge. I was fine prior to all the levaquin for mere bronchitis.. it happened when my nerves blew out!

I had bronchitis for 2 weeks wretching up tons of greenish/yellow sputum. I saw a doc at NJH. He is running a seris of tests over the next month. In the meantime I ended up having laryngitis (I think from coughing so much). The NJH doc gave me levaquin for 21 days. I took the first dose and it made me have some strange side effects so he told me to stop. Now I have post nasal drip and my laryngitis is still there although getting better.
Levaquin made me very ill. I have lupus & was given Levaquin for a sinus infection. Big no no. Levaquin can & will give you autoimmune disease symptoms and I already had one. Trust me it is not worth it. After 6 pills my calf muscles began to cramp. Dr. says ibuprofen 600mg a day.. Well its been all downhill from there. I developed full body tendinitis,(couldn't walk) my joints & muscles swelled so bad my nerves were compressed.
