Avatar f tn I have been on letrozole for 5 months now and nothing.I had a miscarriage in march and have been taking this since march. The only side effects I have had are hot flashes in the beginning but I do get stabbing headaches occasionally.Has anyone else had to go from letrozole to something else that helped get them pregnant.
Avatar n tn Just before i found out i was pregnant my doctor had prescribed me letrozole femara which I didnt end up needing to take. Unfortunately, because I was so overwhelmed with grief over the miscarriage and could not think rationally, I decided to take the letrozole counting the bleeding from the d&c as a period in which i used from day 2 throught to day 6. As mentioned, it has now been 3 weeks 4days since the d&c and today I had a positive pregnancy test.
6889053 tn?1386025503 Hello, my husband and I have been trying to conceive since we've gotten married 8 yrs ago. I was diagnosed with pcos (polycystic ovarian syndrome) in 2006. I'm not overweight, and my cycles come every month but not consistently. Well, this entire month of Nov., I have not gotten my period. I thought I might finally be pregnant so I went to my dr. and the test was negative. How can this be?? I get my period every month, finally miss a cycle, and it's negative?
Avatar f tn I didnt get my first period post miscarriage for about 6 weeks; so thought about trying again next month (July). Need some encouragement.
691236 tn?1311199974 I had 2 follicles. My RE now wants me to try Letrozole this time around again with the trigger and IUI. Has anyone tried this drug and what were the differences from clomid? I believe this is the same as femara? Any advice/knowledge you have would be great. Thanks!
Avatar m tn No, the rate decrease if your taking metformin. I also have PCOS and I had a miscarriage in October..every since then I haven't had a period or ovulate on my own so my doctor put me on provera, metformin, and letrozole(femara) to get pregnant but the metformin alone will help you NOT to have a miscarriage...good luck to you sweetie. I think you should ask your doctor about taking metformin, it corrects PCOS also...
1466138 tn?1286301604 so i hear that your really fertile after a miscarriage but see i took letrozole to get pregnant so can i get pregnant even if i had to take medication to get pregnant or should i just wait til my next cycle and take my meds and hope for the best?best of luck i know how heartbreaking it is to lose what you wanted most!!
Avatar n tn Hi, its a year and 4months now I've been TTC after the miscarriage. Till date I still get breast milk coming out of my breasts, took chlomid in March, also took Letrozole last month. My husband n I meet frequently especially during my O week. Prior to the next period dates I get all the pregnancy symptoms - temperature, eating extra, tiredness, sleeps, and feelings of fetal development especially when I bend, but still at the end the red robots mess up my hopes.

Avatar f tn I had a follow up with the RE today and she is gonna put me on 7.5 mg Letrozole from cd 3-7 with ovidrel and monitoring. my ins dont cover the monitoring so i didnt do it with the clomid cycle but this time around i want to so i have to pay $650 up front... alot of money but i really want to make sure they can see whether or not im gonna respond to the letrozole.
Avatar f tn Two years ago I had a miscarriage. My husband and I have been trying to conceive ever since. I have very light periods that last 2-3 days. And I have suspected endometriosis with a mass growing between my bladder and cervix. I have had this mass since two years and it is not growing. My periods and the days after my periods are extremelly painful, especially when my bladder is full or when I need to urinate. I have found a fertility specialist and he has prescribed the following drugs.

Avatar m tn Gave me symptoms. I am now on letrozole. Also experiencing symptoms. Will letrozole keep this cancer away. Is there a smaller does than 2.5 of letrozole that I can take.
1190279 tn?1324936257 Hi! Doctors will prescribe either clomid or letrozole to assist with ovulation. There's two main differences: it doesn't have anti-estrogenic side effects like clomid; and although studies have proven letrozole is an effective fertility drug it hasn't been approved by the FDA yet for fertility use, thus isn't covered by insurance (beware it's very expensive). Letrozole was developed to treat estrogen-sensitive breast cancers.
Avatar f tn Would like to know others opinions. June 2012 I had a miscarriage, had some spotting in Sept then no period until January 13' then it was almost every 3rd MO I'd get a period. In 2014 I started getting a period every MO was around the 14th of every month then it slowly got to the 25th ish. We have been trying ever since I healed. I haven't really don't the bbt and the ovulation test I was just kind of in the mind set of leave up to god.
148691 tn?1260194903 A year and some ago I had a miscarriage at 12 weeks, followed by a DNC and a chemical pregnancy. In March, i got discovered a fibroid in my uterus and was put on lupron to shrink it. In May i went under Lap and found no fibroid and some endo that the RE took care of. Now, after all this time and my husband's good SA results, both have been checked for blood and chromosomal disorders and we are all clear, we still can't get pregnant!! IT IS SO FRUSTRATING!

Me: 28 Hubby: 30 Sperms analysis perfect, laparoscopy perfect, all tests for ovulation and ultrasounds looked perfect. Trying since 2012 no pregnancy yet This is my 2nd cycle on femara, next ovulation expected on 1/14. If 3rd cycle not successful, will do iui with femara anyone else done this and got pregnant? ?
Avatar n tn when to take a HPT. When is my lmp in consideration of missed miscarriage... should I be worried about the heavy feeling..... Thanks for answering my question.
1204794 tn?1300704113 I used to have 9 to 16 days of bleeding before letrozole! After being on letrozole, how many days are you bleeding? This is my second time with Letrozole and I had 9 days of bleeding the first time. By Day 5 I'm ready to quit letrozole because it makes my bones a bit achy, my breasts are super tender and less firm, and overall I feel like I constantly have a buzz that you get with one glass of wine.
Avatar f tn I have just been diagnosed with breast cancer and have been offered a trial on Letrozole before and after surgery along with radiotherapy. I would appreciate knowing any side effects when taken along with Lithium and mood swings suffered if any.
Avatar f tn ve had PCOS and gave up so when I found out I was excited but sadly the little blessing was not growing correct and I ended up with a miscarriage on July14,2014 I was about 8 to 12 weeks along and had the d&c procedure I've had 2 periods siSo my question is what is the best and fastest way to get pregnant again???
725941 tn?1297882209 I have! It's basically very similar to clomid, but has less side effects ;-) I don't have any problems ovulating on my own, but my RE wanted me to try it anyway. I did four cycles, and had two follicles three of the months and one follicle one month. Best of luck!
Avatar m tn Letrozole is effective in increasing final adult height. Many medical studies have shown that. Most doctors don't know it yet. The recommended dose of 2.5 mg is actually not necessary. 0.3 mg will provide similar effects.
