letrozole infertility multiples

I have been on letrozole for 5 months now and nothing.I had a miscarriage in march and have been taking this since march.The only side effects I have had are hot flashes in the beginning but I do get stabbing headaches occasionally.Has anyone else had to go from letrozole to something else that helped get them pregnant.

Anyone get pregnant using femara/letrozole after being given unexplained infertility diagnosis? How many months did you take it before you got your positive? Me: 28 Hubby: 30 Sperms analysis perfect, laparoscopy perfect, all tests for ovulation and ultrasounds looked perfect. Trying since 2012 no pregnancy yet This is my 2nd cycle on femara, next ovulation expected on 1/14. If 3rd cycle not successful, will do iui with femara anyone else done this and got pregnant? ?

Hi! I am 31y.o. and have unexplained infertility. Have had a laproscopy and cromotubation and tons of blood work and I am perfectly healthy and beyond perfect for conception. Except for the fact that I can't conceive. My husband is perfect also. We've tried clomid for 4mos. and letrozole plus iui last month and tested this morning and got a neg hpt. I'm starting to lose hope. Has anyone else been here??

Treatment of endometriosis will depend on its severity. Consult an infertility expert. Do not get disheartened as treatment for infertility may take a few years to give results. Hope this helps.

Just before i found out i was pregnant my doctor had prescribed me letrozole femara which I didnt end up needing to take. Unfortunately, because I was so overwhelmed with grief over the miscarriage and could not think rationally, I decided to take the letrozole counting the bleeding from the d&c as a period in which i used from day 2 throught to day 6. As mentioned, it has now been 3 weeks 4days since the d&c and today I had a positive pregnancy test.

Unexplained infertility for 1.5 years. I am not sure what could be the reason for my infertility , it might be endo but they didn't do a laparo for me yet. If anyone can tell me what other options do I have if Clomid failed?? So what worked for you ?

I had first round of IUI in March after 3 years of infertility and ended up miscarrying at 7 weeks. What are the odds we will get pregnant again soon? I didnt get my first period post miscarriage for about 6 weeks; so thought about trying again next month (July). Need some encouragement.

Hi There! On my first round of Letrozole(Femara) and no ovulating is showing. Anyone not ovulate the first month, but then start next couple months, or is this med not like that?? I don't feel the best on it, but will try anything. Had our first little guy a year ago with in vitro. We can't afford that route again, so hoping we are blessed by just doing prescription helpers. But I don't want to keep taking something that makes me feel awful if it isn't going to kick in.

Have asked before but want to hear of any positive stories using letrozole(femara) to help with ovulation, this drug is primarily a drug used to help with breast cancer and is still in research stage for fertility problems, my dr is talking with other gp's because is not happy to prescribe it to me.

While we are excited, I am terrified that we may have high order multiples. We used Follistim and letrozole. I had an IUI on cycle day 12. On day 9 I had 3 dominant follicles measuring 18 and one smaller one at 12. I did not have another ultrasound after this. I took one more dose of Follistim per my dr. orders and then took my trigger shot on day 10. Should I be concerned?

NO problem conceiving! I have just been able to go to an infertility dr. I have regular periods...almost pin point start date. In 1/12, my postgesterone level was 7....BFN. 2/12, round 1 of 50mg Clomid my progesterone level was 35...BFN. 3/12, round 2 of 50mg Clomid my progesterone level 32...BFN. 4/12, had HSG (no blockage) no Clomid...BFN. 5/12, round 1 of 2.5mg Letrozole my progesterone level 9...waiting on Day 1 of cycle to see if I'm prego.

Gonna be using infertility injections. Have been doing some research n just curious which ones have you tried. And did they work? On the last round i had great looking eggs but due to the clomid my lining wasnt thick enough. So nervous and excited for January to get here.

I've been diagnosed with unexplained infertility and have had several stimulated cycles (gonal-f plus HCG trigger), but to no avail. This cycle, multiple follicles (3) were measured a day before the HCG shot was administered to trigger ovulation. At that time, my u/s revealed the following follicle sizes: 11.7, 15.8 and 16mm. Back to back IUI was performed at 24 and 48 hours following the HCG.

I used to have 9 to 16 days of bleeding before letrozole! After being on letrozole, how many days are you bleeding? This is my second time with Letrozole and I had 9 days of bleeding the first time. By Day 5 I'm ready to quit letrozole because it makes my bones a bit achy, my breasts are super tender and less firm, and overall I feel like I constantly have a buzz that you get with one glass of wine.

Hi! If you were my patient, I would try switching to Letrozole and possibly adding Metformin to your regimen. I would continue with up to five more IUIs. If it hasn't worked by then, I would refer you for IVF. Good luck!

Hi, Typically ovulation monitoring is carried out along with ovulation stimulating drugs like Letrozole. The monitoring can be done through external sonography but infertility specialists prefer vaginal sonography to find out the exact date when you ovulate and also the size of follicle(s).

I do not have infertility insurance, none at all. Does anyone know, If I get pregnant resulting from infertility drugs, is there any loop hole that the insurance could use to not have to cover it. For example, lets say I get pregnant with multiples (although that is not the goal) and they need a NICU stay. Can the insurance refuse to cover that because it is likely that the multiples are the result of fertility drugs? I am certainly not aiming for multiples, I want one healthy baby.

I am on my third treatment cycle of letrozole and the last cycle I mistook the break through bleeding as implantation bleeding, which occurred on 6 nonconsecutive days after I ovulated. Usually REs will start you out on clomid or letrozole. If they don't work they move you on to injectibles (which are basically LH and/or FSH) such as menopur, follistim, gonal-f, bravelle, etc. Just depends what your RE prefers to use and what is right for your situation.

So I am getting very excited because we go to the fertility clinic at the end of Jan..and I wanted to know if anyone has; or anyone knows of someone who has had multiples..from an IUI with the fertility issue being a low count. I really think twins would be awesome, I know I am wishful thinking but I am just curious!! Thanks ladies!!

are you at high risk for multiples or ohss?? do you have any side effects from shot? im very bloated and sore! i gained 4 pounds in 3 days! sorry for so many questions, i just want to talk to someone in the same boat as me!
