letrozole birth defects

now my doc has put me on letrozole....as this is an anticancer drug it worries me and as side effects i has birth defects in babies.i dont know if i should take it or not???and wht if its does not work.

How does birth defects happen is it in the family blood? Or what you eat or if you get hurt? I'm suppose to have my very first baby check up Aug 1 I'm 7weeks tomorrow and I just don't want nothing happening to my baby I'm scared to death I'm pretty sure it's to early to determine the baby has birth defects since I'm not to far along but I'll be 13 weeks when I see the doctor.

Ladies im really concerned and cant get excited because im scared ive caused birth defects to my baby. Before I knew I was taking chinese herbs and also had a typhoid inj as I was goin to bali. Her surgerian told me whenever i was to get pregnant again i had to drink a higher dosis of folic acid to prevent birth defects, my ob prescribed me folic acid in pills which i have to take 4 of them every day im not taking no vitamins since he didnt prescribed none to me. Yeah, milk is definitely not necessary for anyone to drink. If you're worried about calcium Google "foods high in calcium" and you'll see many other options. As the ladies said above, soda isn't necessarily going to cause birth defects, but high sugar intake is not nourishing for mom or baby. Start trying to conceive, my ob upped my dosage of Metformin to 2, 500mg a day and to stop taking my birth control. He said if I don't have a period within 35 days come back, well its been two days on Metformin and I have already started, but I was wondering how long do I have to take this before I can get Clomid?

soon after i got my periods on sept...nxt for 2 months i was on birth control.from november doctor put me on letrozole , glycomet, folic acid for 2 cyles bt it didnt click out..... then doctor put me on clomid 100mg b failed...nxt she put me on clomid 150 mg,myotol and said to have a follicular study n till d20 i had only one follicle 11*9mm so it failed....currently im on letrozole, humog75,i had 1 follicle 16*13mm on left and 17*16mmon right on d13..on d14 i had hcg5000 .

My first cghild was born with a birth defects does that mean the one im carrying gone to come out with the same??

I can see no connection between your taking Bendectin and your Daughter now having Breast Cancer since birth defects were at the time the main concern regarding the drug rather than far reaching complications. For your information in case you were not aware the drug has been approved by the FDA and is returning under a different name after being discontinued some 30 years ago.

There is VERY little evidence that the hormones in the birth control pill will cause birth defects. The birth defect hype came from the drugs that were given to women who were ALREADY pregnant, to stop miscarriages. Don't stop taking the pill until a pregnancy is confirmed. It will not damage the zygote.

you would have to have an u/s and tests done through out the pregnancy to keep an eye on the baby. but there are higher odds of the baby having birth defects if its parents are blood related than if they were not blood related.

I'm not sure what your situation is or if you have had any tests, etc, but I can share my experience. I was put on Clomid back in September after trying for about 1 1/2 years with no luck. Our tests all came back good, but I wasn't getting positive OPK's, so it appeared I wasn't ovulating, or at least not good quality eggs. I tried it for 4 months and was getting positive OPK's, but my doctor felt if it hadn't worked by then, it wasn't going to.

Thank you both for your comments, My doctor won't prescribe ither bromocriptine or letrozole, not medically proven for fertility and not liscensed in the U.K. dont want to go back on clomid, gave me cyct last time.

Has anyone ever used Letrozole? Was it beneficial? Did you get a BFP? Any side effects?

Gave me symptoms. I am now on letrozole. Also experiencing symptoms. Will letrozole keep this cancer away. Is there a smaller does than 2.5 of letrozole that I can take.
