Avatar f tn I can tolerate Letrozole and Duphaston without any problems. But Progynova gives me horrible side effects: dizziness, extreme low energy level and anxiety attacks (never had anxiety before). I was just wondering if Progynova can indeed give these side effects and if there are any other drugs that can stimulate the thickening of my uteral lining.

1175261 tn?1263629040 I have been put on duphaston 10 mg tablets and weekly fertgyn 5000 hp injection. My doctor did not check my progesterone level or hcg hormone this is my first pregnancy and my only medical history is that I have bilateral endometrial cyst.
Avatar f tn I also wanted to add that after reading up about duphaston, I do not think that the thickness of the endometrium would affect your results...because duphaston is used to regulate endometrium growth and shedding, and is often used to MINIMIZE overgrowth of the lining so it's unlikely that a patient on duphaston would have an endometrium thick enough to hide a pregnancy (especially on vaginal ultrasound) for long, if at all.
Avatar f tn Duphaston is safe in pregnancy. In fact I was prescribed duphaston after I was tested to be positive. I continued it for the entire first trimester. Now i 'm 33weeks pregnant and the baby is fine.
Avatar f tn Hi. Just to clarify matters: Femara is the brand name of the drug letrozole. Since you've already taken this drug and it has caused you severe joint pain, it's really not advisable for you to be taking it again. In the MA-17 clinical trial, Femara/letrozole was intended to be given for a duration of 5 years after Tamoxifen. However, patients in that study were only treated for an average of two years before the study was unblinded.
Avatar n tn I have been on duphaston since i was in week 4 and now i am 12 weeks and my baby is fine. I was put on duphaston because i started bleeding at 4 weeks and i also had a miscriage before this.

Avatar f tn i took duphaston once a day for 10 days started last Feb 15 to Feb 24 then got my period on Feb 28. from Feb 29 to Mar 2 I have heavy period then on Mar 3 it was like a blood spotting only (like before your period ends) until now Mar 9 I still have the blood spotting. is this normal because i took duphaston? or it's not? please help me understand. thank you. i am scheduled to start taking duphaston again on Mar 15 for 10 days. by the way i have PCOS on my right ovary.
Avatar f tn t know whether I should take duphaston or norethisterone in order not to have breakthrough bleeding again. Has any of you tried to delay their period with duphaston before? and what were the results? do you think duphaston or norethidterone has better results?
Avatar f tn provera is usuallly the standard for treating amenorrhea. although duphaston is much the same I do believe that duphaston has been discontinued but iam not positive. Either way please do not take this without a doc's RX and is not to be used as the abortion pill. Taking these meds will bring on a menstrual cycle but this can be very painful and come wiith heavy bleeding.
Avatar m tn Hello and welcome to the forum. Thanks for your question and we apologize for delay in response! We are glad you are on to maintenance therapy for your previous cancer! Typically, letrozole does have a favorable side effect profile in relation to toxicity. This doesn't mean it is side effect free, however. The trade off is that it does appear affective in terms of prolonging recurrence.
1340383 tn?1309990914 I have used both and after five attempts with clomid no success and the first try with letrozole I got pregnant with my son due to placenta ruption. I'm trying letrozole again with this cycle.
1190279 tn?1324936257 Hi! Doctors will prescribe either clomid or letrozole to assist with ovulation. There's two main differences: it doesn't have anti-estrogenic side effects like clomid; and although studies have proven letrozole is an effective fertility drug it hasn't been approved by the FDA yet for fertility use, thus isn't covered by insurance (beware it's very expensive). Letrozole was developed to treat estrogen-sensitive breast cancers.
Avatar n tn My ObGyne stopped the metformin and put me on Duphaston. I had a scan and the featus measured 6 weeks and 3 days and we heard a heartbeat. He seemed surprised that I didn't have nausea by now. Should I be worried? Btw I have pcos.

6889053 tn?1386025503 So, I took birth control for a month and a half to allow it to shrink. I then started Letrozole this cycle. I would go with what your doctor says. From my understanding, the Letrozole will help you to produce follicles, where Metformin helps to regulate insulin, which in turn helps you to ovulate. Taking the Letrozole may be good, because you need follicles.
Avatar f tn She has also stopped taking the pill after many years and her hormones are all over the place and has started taking duphaston tablets. has anyone here experience with theses tablets for GD and if yes, roughly how lng will it take until they take effect? Many thanks in advance.
