leg pain while pregnant

I'm 20 weeks pregnant and i have really bad leg pains usually at night.. is it normal ? What can i do to help this?

Is it normal for your legs to ache while pregnant . I'm only 17 weeks and my legs ache all night . .

5 mg for severe mid and lower back pain and leg pain. I feel very guilty for taking it but it has helped a lot. I just know that its affecting my baby boy Jamin and it makes me want to cry. but im afraid if i dont take it and get relief that my stress that ive been having from the pain may affect him also. I just wanna do the right thing. I literally can barely walk my back and legs hurt so bad.

How many of you already mothers or mothers to be have gotten the Tdap or whooping cough vaccine while pregnant? How do you feel about them? My mother is against all those vaccines for she never got them done while pregnant with all four of us. I've always been paranoid when it came to vaccines even before my pregnancy.

I find it helpful to lay down and cross my effected leg over my other leg (that leg is straightened) and pull the straight leg towards me. Similar to creating a 4 shape with your legs. That stretches those muscles in lower back and buttocks area really nicely. Hold for about 30 sec and repeat. I do this every morning and night. Prenatal massages are very helpful too. Tell therapist what you're experiencing and they can dig in and help release the muscle tension.

oh, great so I have to take 2 kinds of Medicine 5 days a week while pregnant to accommodate my work?! Which I did not do. I took benadryl twice to sleep while I've been sick. I really couldn't tell you why everyone is so damn insensitive to pregnant women.

I swear so far my leg cramping has been the worst part of being pregnant. The pain starts up in my thigh, and even with the stretching thing I can't make it go away. Its seriously the worst pain ever. Can't walk on it, can't even lie down without the pain cutting through me. I've tried several things, cold/warm compress, massage, but nothing seems to make it go away until its good and ready. For the most part the pain remains in my thigh, but once in a while switches to my knee.

Some nights my legs would get cramps, but it wasn't so bad. All I did was fold my leg and the pain went away. But last night I woke up yelling and scared my hubby lol. Both of my legs had cramps twice in less then 10 min. I layer down afterwards and I could feel my leg muscle pulling it was so weird and kind of painful....where my thighs are. I tried to walk and I couldn't put my legs straight at all. I have an appointment tomorrow! They wouldn't see me today.

I've been having problems with my left leg since I've been pregnant; like a pinch nerve and I'm having to drag when it hurt. My doctor just said its the stretching of the ligaments. Well I'm 21weeks pregnant and just started back working in a warehouse. I'm on my feet for at least 10 hrs with breaks in between. On my first day, my left leg just gave out and I was trying to put my weight on my right which didn't make it better.

i also had my gall bladder out bout 8 weeks ago now as had severe gall stones and in among i had a lymph node infection(busy time), my problem is i suffer terrible nearly constant leg pain mainly thigh area which works its way down and my legs has a not nice looking tiny red spotty texture on them. any ideas on what this could be ????????? sick of taking pain killers which don't work. I get pain in my right leg, and lower back, it is very painful, but both of my feet swell up, Im 38 weeks, ill be 39 weeks tomorrow, it could be that your body isgoing tthrough changes and the pain and swelling could be a part of it, hopefully it will go away for you, and I hope the rest of your pregnancy gets better

Who else gets leg pain in their calf? I'm 9 weeks pregnant. I get it mostly in my right calf and I also get restless legs mostly in my right leg as well. Such weird symptoms! Anyway, has any other mommies had this?

Whenever I drive more than about 15 minutes, I develop pain in my right leg along the back of my thigh. I am not feeling this pain in my back or buttocks -- just my thigh and at times my right knee. Can anyone tell me what this is, and what I can do to relieve the pain? Thanks.

It could also be sciatica. Which can go down your leg. Hurts like crazy sometimes.

Sounds like sciatica, is it like a shooting pain that runs from your hip, butt, lower back through your leg? I get it really bad while pregnant, and after my first pregnancy I get it some even when Im not.

I'm 6w and 5 days, and I have been getting this really annoying pain in my groin area. It's feels like its right where my rt leg meets my hip. I get it when I'm sitting, but mostly when I'm laying down. It feels almost like I need to stretch it out, like my leg has been jammed or something.
