Avatar f tn Sounds like growing pains and sciatica which are both completely normal during pregnancy :)
Avatar f tn So i every now and then get really bad leg pains, usually in only one of my legs, very rarely both. It varies and can be from my toes to my calf, up my thighs or my whole leg, sometimes its around my knee, sometimes around my ankle, it can basically be just anywhere on my leg. It feels like a strong dull aching in my bones almost. Sometimes i wake up with it, sometimes it comes during the day, it doesn't seem to be connected to any kind of physical activity.

Avatar n tn One hears of this a lot and many refer to it as growing pains , which are similar to leg cramps some think it can be caused by muscle/ligature stretching, it is very common , maybe some light massage may help him. Speak to your pediatrician if it seems worse .
Avatar n tn if it was going to rain or if i walked bare footed on grass or a cold floor the pain would start in the arch area of the feet then radiate up to the knee then as a teen the pain would go from the feet to the hips.. the doctors said it was growing pains however it continued all my life and is dibilitating. i would wrap my legs in an electric blanket and turn on high that was the only thing that helped.
1158461 tn?1262614392 Can you give more details? depending on your age and other factors if this has gone on for some time you should have it checked. Age, gender and other factors need to be looked at before anyone can give you any speculation on what it might be. I'm not a doctor, I don't think anyone is in this forum. But it it's gone on for some time you might want to talk to your mom about seeing a doctor. Take care!
Avatar n tn I'm 8 weeks pregnant and i feel abdominal pain almost everyday and my right leg was soring as in my right side where my baby is .. What should i do?
Avatar m tn My granddaughter is seven. She has complained about severe, generalized leg pain which makes her cry. She can't locate the pain but says her legs ache really badly. Laying down helps but takes a full twenty minutes or so. Also, a baby aspirin. Seems to lessen the pain. The pediatrician dismissed it as "growing pains" but did no testing. Any knowledge would be appreciated.

Avatar f tn For as long as I could remember I would have very strong leg pains occasionally during the night. The pain would either wake me up at night or it wouldn't let me go to sleep. Since I was younger, the doctor said it was growing pains but considering I'm 20 and I haven't grown an inch since 5th grade I sincerely doubt that. The pain happens usually once or twice a month still to this day.
Avatar f tn It may be from a pinched nerve or something, but you should definitely get it checked out. Pain is the body's way of telling you something isn't right. You'd hate for it to be something life threatening, like a blood clot or something.

Avatar m tn Is it possible for a 19 year old to be experiencing growing pains?
Avatar f tn Since he was about 3-1/2 years old, he has had periodic leg pain that usually happens between 3-6 a.m. and sometimes last for about 30 minutes to an hour (rarely) after he gets up in the morning. Sometimes he does not wake up in the night but complains when he gets up in the morning. The pain is almost always unilateral, the left leg, but on occasion he complains that the right one is hurting as well.
Avatar f tn Im 9 plus 5 and having slight pains is this growing pains? What do growing pains feel like?
Avatar f tn Growing pains are less pain and more of an itching sensation that never really goes away you just learn to tolerate it I'm 16 weeks and my first pregnancy but my mom had 4 so I know from her and any bit of pain should be reported to your dr
Avatar n tn My 4 year old daughter has been complaining of both of her legs hurting for about 2 weeks. She sleeps through the night but screams and cries when she first gets up in the morning and throughout the day! It's not all the time, it comes and goes! She can be sitting down or running around when this happens! I've researched RLS and growing pains and they both say that those happen while you are asleep! What else could be going on?
4658567 tn?1364142123 Is anyone else having growing pains or what is this? My whole uterus hurts. Hurts to stand hurts to sit- until sitting.. Hurts getting up and walking and bending over.. When I breathe out and my tummy goes out it also hurts.. Hurts all way to my hip bones. This is not a BH. It's constant and has only gotten worse in last hour.
Avatar n tn My 2 1/2 year old grand daughter has had chronic leg pain for a few months now. Its the same leg, same area, and its always at night. She creams with pain and the tears break my heart for her to be in pain and I don't know what to do. There is no apparent bruising that is visible, no falls or any thing of that nature. Is this something to worry about or am I just over reacting....

Avatar f tn He was under a paedaritian but nothing was ever found wrong. For the last year the pains in his leg/calf/knees seem to be getting worse, there is no regularity or pattern to these episodes, but if he is going to suffer it is early evening or during the night. One incident last month I took him to A&E as he woke me up screaming and beside himself in pain. hat was the worst incident he has had.
