foot

1123420 tn?1350561158 For charlie horses what you want to do to stop the pain almost instantaneously is to flex your foot. Your natural reaction is to point your toes and try to stretch out the pain but that can make it worse or lengthen the pain time. Instead flex your foot (imagine trying to point your toes toward your forehead). This should stop the pain ALMOST immediately.
Avatar f tn Just so you know there is nothing dormant about hepc. It is always an active virus once you have it. Have you had a biopsy to determine how much liver damage you have? I've never really heard of foot pain before and I've been here a long time. Leg cramps yes, is that what you mean? If so try drinking tonic water - believe it or not it helped me greatly with the leg cramps.
Avatar f tn What I was trying to say before my crazy phone acted up, its safe and I been taking it for over a month, because my legs hurt and stung at night, because of restless leg syndrome and pains from bigger baby weighing me down, look it up f
Avatar f tn Leg cramps! Ouch only get them at night when I stretch, it hurts so bad, I've tried to stretch before going to sleep does not help. Any suggestions?
Avatar n tn i dont smoke nor drink so when i sleep at night it seems gone but when i wake up the pain is there and more painful under my toes which leaves but then the chronic pain starts. my leg is not pale, cool or clammy,no fever,no discloration and i can walk fine,i could run up 5 flights of stairs if i needed but the cramping is there.its only going on day 3,but im usually in a big box truck with alot of leg room, now im in a van times 2 weeks with no room.
Avatar f tn The book I have says doctors don't fully understand leg cramps. Charlie horses are thought to be caused by low potassium, but leg cramps during pregnancy aren't always necessarily caused by low potassium. It says to stretch your calves before bed and if you get a cramp flex your foot and rub the leg. It helps, I didn't get them until 27 weeks. They suck. Usually if I feel one coming on I flex my foot and try to relax.
Avatar m tn You should stretch during the day. Allot. Exercise an stretching helps allot with back pain, leg pain, Abdominal pain an when baby comes if you stretched during the pregnancy it will be a bit easier Pushing the baby out.
Avatar n tn Lower back pain, the sciatica pain under my buttocks, the numbness and tingling down my leg and now, VERY painful leg and foot cramps at night. They can be as little as a toe cramp, a charley horse, all to way to cramping and pulling my foot all the way inward or outward. The cramps are now journeying up my leg to my hamstrings. Is this normal?
Avatar f tn There is an ointment call Leg Cramps that you can buy to help ease that annoying leg cramps we suffer from, but eating bananas and keeping hydrated helps. I used to get the 3 and 4 times a night, my poor husband got no sleep lol. Hope that helps.
Avatar f tn I get them so badly almost every night to the point I almost scream and cry in pain, the minute you feel them, don't move your leg, just point your toes/foot up towards you, I find that makes them go away, or stepping on the floor helps too. Try massage the back of your calf when it's really sore too. I think we get them from not drinking enough water, hope this helps!
Avatar f tn My doctor told me leg cramps are usually from being dehydrated! Try drinking a glass of water before bed.
12216401 tn?1424138136 I've had real bad leg cramps the past few days , I didn't think it had anything to do with my pregnancy until I saw it as a symptom on this app . Has anyone else had leg pain through their pregnancy ?
Avatar f tn I am 24 weeks pregnant and I wake up in the middle of the night screaming in pain. I have right lower leg cramps. Someone told me to stand up against the wall barefoot on a cold floor which actually worked for me. Also, drink the juice of olives in the can or pickles. I haven't tried that but I heard it works fast.
Avatar n tn When I feel a leg cramp coming I point my foot down and it stops it or makes it less painful.
4029710 tn?1349316380 I have no idea how come this works but I have gotten the worst leg cramps since the very beginning (im now 38 weeks 4 days) and this is the only way to stop them. Also add more magnesium and potassium rich foods to your diet.
Avatar f tn All you have to do is massage that area slowly and pain goes away. My doctor suggested eat more potassium and calcium.
721523 tn?1331581802 Hi all, I was up all night with horrid leg pain. The muscles in my right foot and then my right calf started the fun. The worst was by far my left shin muscle. I have verry muscular legs due to the way that I walk. I have never had any MS problems with my legs. I was in teh French Quarter in NO last night. I did some walking with my family. I did not do more or faster than normal. Any ideas what would cause this? It was almost solid pain for 4 hours.
Avatar n tn Levothyroxine is unlikely to cause the foot and toe cramps. The ongoing pain in the leg could indicate that there is progressive damage to the nerves. NCS, nerve conduction studies may show the effects on the nerve. The compression on the nerves needs to be relieved. Therapy for spinal disorders can be conservative (non operative) and surgical (operative) management.
Avatar f tn Recently I have been getting severe leg and foot cramps, my doctor checked my potassium.. levels and they were good, she checked everything that could possibly cause leg cramps and the only thing that was out of whack was my liver enzyme's, I have been taking cholesterol medication for about 2 months, I also take Hydrocodone 10/325 and Tramadol 50mg daily. I take 3 and 3.
Avatar f tn In the last 3 months I have had charley horeses in my right calf at least3 times a week.Along with sharp pain in my foot and going into my lower back. But the past couple of days its going into the groin area. Its beginning to hurt to the touch. I'm wondering if it is PN.I'm also Dx's with SLE,Raynaud's,Sjorgren's and Osteo Arthritis since 2001.
Avatar n tn In addition, I often have severe leg cramps in my lower/left back of leg that shoot down and freeze my foot into a weird position. I went to a podiatrist when it was just the toe numbness. He thought it might be a neuroma. I got a shot of cortizone. Didn't help. I gave up on it and figured I'll just deal with it. But now the lump feeling and the cramp is just driving me crazy. Any suggestions what it may be, or what kind of DR I should see. Should I get an MRI.
Avatar f tn My left leg is the pain on that cramps too. Drink tons of water, that's what helps me. If i drink anything sweet during the day I'm more likely to get them too.
Avatar f tn I will have to try that thank you
1503777 tn?1289497132 My husband has these constant terrible cramps, culvultions in his left foot. He has had this for the past +- 10 years and it is just getting worse and worse. It is really becoming so vigerous he is in constant pain and agony. All doctors and specialists he ha seen doesn't know what causes it and just say they have never seen anything like it. No medication helps and we are really getting despondent because nobody knows what is causing this. This only happens when he is awake.
