Surgical repair for torn meniscus of L' Knee. 3 months post-op it buckled, caused tear during fall to R' Knee and meniscus was surgically repaired but has also failed, although the surgeon refuses to order an MRI to "prove" this latest injury. Pain is an issue as I am allergic to all pain meds ordered to date and take nothing for the pain levels of 9-10. Before injury both knees were healthy, minimal arthritic changes on MRI's in spite of age 58 and obesity.
I have been back to my Gp for advice but am told that i would need a further operation, i dont want this route, does anybody have any ideas about more homepathic remedies or if physiotherapy helps?
I was wondering if any members here have posted recently in any journals, including the physician's journals ? For some reason VaBreeze & I have posted in two journals and our activity does not show up in the "recent activity" column. MedHelp is checking into the problem, but I was wondering if anyone else is having trouble... so I can report to MedHelp right away ?

Latest news is that the night before the operation, doctors diagnosed significant problem on the aortic valve of the heart and after an echo check next morning, they decided to go on immediately with the CABG, changing the valve itself and making 2 bypasses (one from chest and one from right foot). The whole operation took around 9 hours, but the feart began working again without any help.

It was then removed surgically He has not yet been told whether he is to have further chemo sessions. The consultants say they will know in about 2 weeks from operation date.
