Avatar m tn Mild pain bruises and discoloration has to be expected after the treatment. All these side effects are temporary and generally the pain medications are enough to relieve the lingering irritants and it is cured. Hence instead of suffering and feeling pity for you, you should take the treatment because it is nothing dangerous and complicated. For more information: http://www.karishmaveinclinic.

Avatar n tn They can also be caused by hormone changes, exposure to the sun, and injuries. Scars and indents are side effects of steroid injections for keloids and it may take months to heal and fill in when collages in formed but sometimes it may take longer or less depending on the depth of the indentations and the response of the skin. If they persist then you can get collagen filling and laser resurfacing done. For the spider veins also, laser treatment is required.
Avatar f tn My mother has been diagnosed with central retina vein occlusion (non ischemic) in one of her eyes - other eye is fine and she is not diabetic. She is very depressed and would like to know what antidepressants you could recommend that she can take which does not have side effects as "blurred vision" as she has tried a few out and pannics when she gets this. Also do you know of any proven treatment for CRVO. Any help would be appreciated.

Please discuss these treatment options with your dermatologist. 1408746 tn?1283678948 This Syndrome results most commonly from the compression of the left renal vein between the abdominal aorta (AA) and superior mesenteric artery (SMA), although other variants exist.[1][2] The name derives from the fact that, in the sagittal view, the SMA and AA (with some imagination) appear to be a nutcracker crushing a nut (the renal vein).
Avatar m tn It helps prevent swelling and strengthens capillary and vein walls. The usual dose is 300 mg a day. Side effects are pretty rare, but if you start feeling itchy or nauseous, taper back your dose. Nature’s Way has a widely available, quality product. Grape seed extract also supports the walls of blood vessels. Take 150 to 300 mg in divided doses over the course of a day. I like the Activin product. Bilberry best known for supporting healthy vision, it can also be useful for varicose veins.
Avatar n tn Does anyone know of any treatment (apart from PUVA which did not work) for this? One Dr. said laser might work but they would come back. Is this correct and would they come back quickly or slowly? Has anyone else out there go the same condition and what have you tried? Please help!!

233488 tn?1310696703 Retinal holes/tears are very common and depending on size, location, personal and family history and the presence or abscense of vitreous traction may not need treatment. If treatment is done additional tears or a retinal detachment could occur but it is much more likely to not occur. Avatar f tn If you, like me, find that only flecainide impacts rhythms at all... I just have to put up with some annoying side effects because the side effects are not nearly as bad as the problem we are treating. If I were to insist we try something different because of the side effects.. the next medications are so much worse. Call and leave a message for your doc to check on the side effects. If you aren't feeling like you are going to fall over... that is good sign. You probably won't!
Avatar m tn If I set in a chair it makes my legs hurt to have pressure pushing on the back side of my legs so I keep my knees up high. If I need to have a BM it makes my legs hurt terrible then after I us the restroom it is instant pain relief. When I sleep at night my legs hurt so bad it wakes me up. I can get out of bed and walk around for a few minutes the pain goes away then I go back to sleep again.
Avatar n tn I had laser treatment for a torn retina about 6 months ago. I don't know if that is related to the present condition. When I close my eyes then open them, for a fraction of a second I see a pattern that could be the vein pattern on my retina. That's what it looks like anyway, like looking at a map of a river and its tributaries. This only happens in my left eye, the one that was lasered. Has anyone seen something similar and is this any cause for concern?
Avatar n tn oh my gosh you guys - I am SO DISAPPOINTED in FIG - Lipodissolve - they are here in Scottsdale - and yes - the consultation is "free" and you get all excited and sign up - well guess what?? They don't practice "full disclosure" on the side effects!! (at least they didn't to me) - PRIOR TO MY FIRST TREATMENT - I backed out due to the lack of what "really will happen" and the fact that I bruise really easy/just started a new job - can't miss work - - - -GUESS WHAT??

203589 tn?1267478770 possible side effects include double vision, strabismus, ptosis, infection. Will cause a myopic shift in vision so if you’re already myopic you’ll be even more myopic afterwards PPV and pneumatic retinopexy: head positioning may be necessary, vision will be terrible w/gas or silicone oil inside the eye.
Avatar n tn The whole idea of using ozone treatment is also to suppress the virus, without the debilitating side effects of the interferon treatment. If we can stay healthy, suppress the virus, eat well, sleep well, no alcohol and take antioxidant and supportive herbs, perhaps we can stay well until a cure is found....or , at the very least, live a long and happy life. I have had the virus for over 30 years and I am healthier than most people without it. That is because of healthy lifestyle choices.
Avatar n tn Doctors say I may end up having a Vitrectomy to remove floaters after a YAG laser treatment. I have to wait six months to see if the floaters go away by themsleves. I can't obviously count but I have hundreds of floaters right now casting a curtain of shadows on my retina, it is not just a few. My question to the community here is who has had a vitrectomy before for any type of problem. I'd like to know your experinces and outcomes.
92903 tn?1309908311 LOL. Right now, face looks pretty good, like pre-treatment THANKFULLY so not sure what the next laser person will recommend, if anything. My guess is V-Beam but only for some obvious veins on nose, etc, that I had prior to tx. In the old days they just zapped those with an electrical device, maybe still do. My concern is how the skin will hold up during the winter and next summer. If it would stay the way it is now I wouldn't do anything.
Avatar n tn If there is a chance to regain her vision, then how we proceed, cause if you can cure her, I am living in New Zealand and my fiancee is in india, you are in US so how to get appointment for medical treatment and what would be the expense at your side and what would be the duration and possibilities? Dr John if you can send me those details through email ***@**** then i will be oblige.
1346447 tn?1327866172 He managed to use angioplasty and remove all the total blockage, then he used rotablation and laser to remove the plaque down three quarters of the left vessel. This leaves the lining quite rough and it took 5 of the longests stents to cover it. Now nearly all the vessel is plaque free. However, I am still getting angina because there are two tiny blockages right at the bottom so I need to ask his opinion on those. A year later though, the 5 stents are still fully open and working great.
Avatar n tn If I had not gotten such thorough information, I think I would have been rather scared. I've never heard of the other side effects you mention. Good luck, I hope your experience improves.
Avatar n tn Hi_ I know how depressed a liver patient can get. I had toxic hepatis from lead poisoning and was so depressed I wanted to kill myself. I had a helpful doctor and many years of restricted diet that helped. I am glad your brother has you for support because depressed people need to be uplifted and often. Sugar of course is a depressant. I have found another herb that helps clean the liver which I used. It is dandelion root. No side effects, can find it in any health food store.
233488 tn?1310696703 surgical or laser corneal relaxing incisions; toric IOLs or toric mutifocal IOLs; rounding the cornea at time of surgery with brand new (2013) femtosecond laser; post operatively using lasik surgery to remove residual astigmatism. 9. 86075 tn?1238118691 But playing devil's advocate, from what I've read here and personally experienced, the majority of people who treat succesfully do not have any less fatigue after treatment. In fact, many report more and no doubt from the after effects of the treatment drugs. In my case and others, the only thing positively different post treatment is that my enzymes are normal and my virus tests negative.
Avatar n tn Apparently it can cause chest pain and arm pain, I have had horrible pain in my shoulders and sometimes in my chest. I am trying prilosec and prevavcid for a couple of months but the side effects are yucky. Are you taking a PPI? Have they checked your gallbladder? Keep your head up and let us know about your MRI. Judybee61- I think I will give them a call. It can't hurt and maybe with their experience they can give me a definate diagnosis.
Avatar n tn its not blood blisters, its a blood vessel under the skin like your vein pops and then there is a bruise for about 2 days then it goes away
Avatar n tn In fact, I'm not sure that I'd recommend anyone on Propulsid to use this procedure, since that medication has such a history of negative side effects. You may feel rough and sore over the liver area for a couple of days afterward, but this procedure really helped me considerably. If you get a great many "stones" out the first time you do this, you may need to repeat again in 2 weeks.
Avatar n tn I switched because I found I was having side effects within the past 6 months or so - same thing happened with my sister - no side effects until a couple years in... weird. What I was experiencing was night sweats occasionally (my sister was getting them every night - and couldn't handle it - so she went off) It was annoying but not bad. Then I noticed a decrease in sex drive, and a few other things that i feel may have been associated, but I'm not sure.
