Avatar n tn Basically your treatment options are observation only, retinal laser treatment, and Lucentis/Avastin injections. The actual best treatment will depend on your individual findings. If you have a true ischemic CRVO (and not just a partial CRVO, or non-ischemic CRVO) you overall prognosis for visual recovery is very, very bad. Often, visual acuity end up at 20/200, 20/400 or worse. I've seen a few very unusual cases that did better, but that is not the norm.

Avatar n tn I am a 26 year old male. For the past few months I have had a hard vein in the left side of my penis. It feels like it runs from the base of the penis to the tip. It doesn't seem to be going away. From time to time this vein seems to radiate a dull pain. I'm not sure if this is related to my stress over the issue, or the actual issue, but erections have been less firm and more difficult to achieve.

Avatar m tn Hi, I'm 23 years old and have had normal eye exams for a long time. However, my doctor dilated my pupils at my latest exam and she discovered a retinal hole in my left eye. She mentioned that I need laser treatment done to seal this hole. I don't have any sort of insurance. The hospital she referred me has given me a quote of $250+ just for the consultation. Around how much can this actual treatment cost me without insurance? Thanks.
Avatar n tn It has a lot of information on PWSs and treatment options for it, along with a list of doctors who are familiar with treatment for it. Insurance should cover much of the cost, but that has to be discussed with the doctor.
Avatar f tn The clinic that I plan to go to has the newer IOLs such as the Tecnis multifocals as well as surgeons offering to bring in the Symfony before next month. However, the clinic policy is that laser-assisted cataract surgery is mandatory with premium lenses and it isn't optional to have it done via the standard method. They only say "they want to provide the most accurate and best treatment possible". The cost ranges from $1495.00 per eye to $3295.
