Laser vein treatment cost

Common Questions and Answers about Laser vein treatment cost

Avatar n tn The maximum common spider vein remedy entails the injection of a solution into every affected vein, causing the vein to collapse and fade. Laser remedies also are available for the reduction or removal of spider veins.
177275 tn?1511758844 How about upgrading technology for Laser Vision Correction? Well, depending on where a patient has laser vision correction there can be a menu of options. For example some clinics will have a standard option where lower order aberrations (sphere and cylinder) are corrected for a price, say $ 1,500 per eye. If the patient wants wavefront optimized treatment they may pay $ 2,150 per eye and if the patient opts for wavefront customized or guided treatment they may pay $ 2,450 per eye.
1408746 tn?1283678948 This Syndrome results most commonly from the compression of the left renal vein between the abdominal aorta (AA) and superior mesenteric artery (SMA), although other variants exist.[1][2] The name derives from the fact that, in the sagittal view, the SMA and AA (with some imagination) appear to be a nutcracker crushing a nut (the renal vein).
233488 tn?1310696703 Retinal holes/tears are very common and depending on size, location, personal and family history and the presence or abscense of vitreous traction may not need treatment. If treatment is done additional tears or a retinal detachment could occur but it is much more likely to not occur. It is important for him to follow up regularly with his ophthalmologist for a dilated retina and peripheral retina exam.
1423357 tn?1511089042 In fact I doubt they had any difficulty working around the 4th vein. Likely the 4th vein hes refferring too lies near the Phrenic Nerve. It is always difficult to isolate. :p Sounds like your doc is just being humble and trying to reassure you regarding the time she'd be under actually. Alot of patients are naturally worried about going to sleep for that long. So it makes sense to give an unrealistic estimate.
Avatar n tn I don't know because I refuse to be pressured into a consultation before being told the cost. What I do know is that the St. Louis Vein Doctor has done a great job so far. If you're in the metro area, I do recommend the drive to see her.
Avatar f tn Yes it often clears without treatment; and often reoccurs. Go on my home page, look through the Journal Posts about 30+ and read the CSR article there.
92903 tn?1309908311 LOL. Right now, face looks pretty good, like pre-treatment THANKFULLY so not sure what the next laser person will recommend, if anything. My guess is V-Beam but only for some obvious veins on nose, etc, that I had prior to tx. In the old days they just zapped those with an electrical device, maybe still do. My concern is how the skin will hold up during the winter and next summer. If it would stay the way it is now I wouldn't do anything.
Avatar n tn 1 M/ml, so obviously the more unconventional approach to treatment had a great effect. Unfortunately, in the UK the laser and ozone treatments are not funded by the National Health Service and so this cost me about £1600 ($2000). The more conventional interferon and ribaviron treatment is free on the health service.
233488 tn?1310696703 surgical or laser corneal relaxing incisions; toric IOLs or toric mutifocal IOLs; rounding the cornea at time of surgery with brand new (2013) femtosecond laser; post operatively using lasik surgery to remove residual astigmatism. 9. In cases where one eye has a cataract that is symptomatic and causing problems with important functions such as driving, reading, recognizing faces, glare avoidance, etc.
Avatar n tn I am so sorry the treatment was not effective. Do you have any idea whay it didn't work the first time? Did you have to reduce the meds due to anemia or neutropenia? Were you compliant? Were you dosed correctly to begin with? It truly sounds like you may need to try again. I have heard wonderful things about milk thistle and liver aid, but it sounds like they aren't doing the job either. Had you had a biopsy? What stage/grade? Sorry for all the questions.
Avatar n tn I had my MRI today - it was fine except they had to stick me four times trying to find a vein! So now I wait...I will keep you posted.
Avatar n tn They said I should see something after this treatment, and I'm feeling quite hopeful. I go for 3rd treatment August 4th. I waited 3 weeks the first time, and doing 3 1/2 weeks this time, just to get it on a Friday so I'd have some weekend downtime in comfy clothes! : ) I think 2 weeks is too soon (and others noted that as well).
Avatar f tn The options here are so limited. I have myopia, astigmatism, presbyopia, and I've also had a retinal vein occlusion. With the retinal issues, I'm not going with a multi-focal because of the reduced contrast sensitivity and because they can interfere with any future retinal surgery. The only adaptive IOL in the US is still Crystalens. I've talked with doctors here that say they most patients don't really get much accommodation with it.
86075 tn?1238118691 I mentioned a type of laser in my previous post -- can't readily find it -- that my doctor prefers over V-Beam for one-time vein treatment. You might want to look it up and discuss with your technician. How much are they going to charge you for the V-Beam treatment and will they do your entire face? I believe V-Beam costs $2,500 per treatment with my doctor but in my case might require more than one treatment.
Avatar f tn MY EP or Cardiologist did not mention nor suggest I wear a monitor during any period of time while beginning treatment even when I asked. He did not feel it necessary. I felt I should be monitored; so, I did not have a very good feeling about it and decided (in my case) not to take the Flecainide. My husband worked late at that time and I knew there would not be anyone home for long hours and I was concerned about that. Thank you so very much for your informative response.
Avatar n tn I had one laser treatment but it was a freebie and did nothing (SmartXide Dot laser) I've done all this for well over a year and NOTHING has improved. I look like a 40-year-old with an 80-year-old's arms. I live in Canada, so have more opportunity to cover my arms than someone living in Florida and cover them I do. I am embarrassed by them. I feel shocked when I look in the mirror. So ladies, I empathize fully. If I find a solution, I will post for you all.
Avatar n tn its not blood blisters, its a blood vessel under the skin like your vein pops and then there is a bruise for about 2 days then it goes away
Avatar n tn There is no cure and the only treatment is to wear compression stockings. Hopefully if you have the same symptoms this will help you to discuss this condition as a possibility with your doctor.
Avatar n tn Hello everyone, I really dont need to mention anymore systoms because they are already posted above, just thought that I could just place a post, to say here is another case. I've had this happen 4 times over last 5 years. I been to all the doctors with same results as above, NO AWNSERS?? Here is what I have learned. First time I freaked and did all the doctor things thinking I was going to bleed to death and die. Doctors had no swnsers and said I was going to be fine.
Avatar n tn ) to see if I could get it taken care of. I had read online that using laser treatment to remove it was probably the easiest procedure as it keeps the bleeding to a minimum and healing is relatively quick. However, once I saw the doctor she told me that unless it was really large, swollen, painful and otherwise causing additional medical problems it wasn't big enough for her to recommend that it be removed.
Avatar f tn they did a biopsy shortly after i did this post, and nothing specific came back. i've had it treated w/ medication (pills and topical) and also laser and it'll seem to look a little better for a few days but then i'm almost to square 1. it just will not seem to heal. just today they decided to do a second biopsy, because they also find it odd and worrisome. they did diagnose me with rosacea b/c in general i am very pink with capillaries close to the skin.
Avatar n tn I was told by two different neurosurgeons that fusion was my only option. WRONG! I had Laser surgery in May of this year and I can honestly say I now have NO PAIN and NO HARDWARE!! Plus I was back at my office less than one week after the surgery. The name of the facility is Laser Spine Institute : They also work on fusions gone bad. (I have never heard of a good fusion personally) The so called "Gold Standard" they told me.
Avatar n tn Before going for the surgery last week I stumbled upon this website and almost cancelled my appointment and left the country! I feel horrible for everyone that had a terrible experience and I know every person's situation is unique and their bodies respond differently but I would like to try and convince a few people that the procedure isn't bad at all!!! First of all, the skin tag I had was fairly small.
Avatar n tn the face, neck, armpit, breast, groin, and buttocks are common sites.....then it goes on to treatment with cloth. doesn't mention any serious outcomes like surgery. Thankyou for your information also because now I think i will phone my doctor and ask her if its serious enough for surgery, or just a big pimple?
Avatar n tn Now I'm taking beta blockers (Propranolol) to keep my heart palpitations under control until the nodule shrinks (I just underwent RAI - radioiodine treatment - the vibrating foot was there before the treatment). Anyway, that is all I have.. of course, the sensation is driving me crazy and scares me to death... (I've had enough being sick!!) Anybody else in a similar situation??
Avatar n tn I, myself, had a radical hysterectomy in April of 2007 because of ovarian bloat and the fact that my uterus was grossly enlarged. It weighed 5 pounds when it was removed! Last summer I had to have laser ablation of pre-cancerous cells in my vaginal vault. And just these past several days I've started to bleed from my vagina a bright red color with what appears to be tiny clots.
Avatar n tn There is a small varicose vein at the center of the cramp but it may have already been there. Since then my pain has been less intense but more frequent now. I'm going to see a cardiologist on Tuesday to see what they think.
Avatar f tn I have very similar issues. It started out 9 months ago with a thumping in my ear...then I got a high heart rate, then now tingling on left side. I have been to two ENT's a Cardiologist, Pulmonary doctor, and had a CT and MRI and they cant find anything except high heart rate. They link all to anxiety which is frustrating. I think my anxiety is causing my problems and my problems are causing anxiety.
