Avatar n tn I have the same white circles under my eyes. How many of you wear contact lenses? If so, do you use a solution or re-wetting drops? Maybe staring at a computer screen for long periods has something to do with it?
Avatar n tn I was wondering if anyone here can give me some suggestions please because i have sinus problems I have dark circles under my eyes not looking for any cosmetic surgery suggestions but if anyone knows of any old wives tales or over the counter products that actually work I have heard of oil of olay eye difinity but it is 24.
Avatar n tn Beneath my eyes, there are two ring-like depressions that I have read to be a deformity that can only be removed by laser surgery. Besides that, the space under my right eye is a very visible bluish-white... predominantly white with a blue tinge. My left eye, however, is a noticeably dark brown. I don't know what to do about this. They have never gone away or improved over the many years I've had them. I have tried several creams but none of them have worked.
Avatar m tn thanks for the feedback, i'm a little puzzled about something due to the surgery part, you might have an answer. well, i've read that surgery is to remove the fat in the under eyes but does it also remove the dark circles or the darkness will remain there after the fat is removed?
Avatar n tn What about surgery procedures? A Laser procedure to rejuvenate the blood vessels under the skin to erase the purple color? Could I have fat injected under the eyes to give a fuller look and to hide the blood vessels from being seen through the skin? Bleaching? What have you experienced yourself? Please help. Any thoughts and/or advice on what could be done to rid of my dark circles would be greatly appreciated.
Avatar m tn On January 4 2011 I had an IPL laser treatment done under my eyes to help reduce dark circles, the skin is very thin due to damage from sun exposure. The next day, my left eye started twitching on the bottom corner lid of the eye near the nose. I ignored it and attributed it to stress, but after a month with no let up I called my dermatologist and was assured these non ablative lasers cannot penetrate deeply enough to cause any nerve damage. So I let it go.
Avatar f tn I have these lumps of tiny glands UNDER the skin under my eye area. When I slightly stretch out there area it looks like lizard skin!! I went out last night and applied my concealer and wondered why my under eye area looked so cakey and dry. Very noticeable! but when i came home to wash my face I noticed the tiny tiny little lumps, which were the cause of my make up noticeably standing out. They are also only visible if someone was close to my face.
Avatar n tn My eyes have become worse this morning, even though I only applied aqeous cream and vaseline to the eye area and face yesterday. The right under eye is especially swollen. Will have to take the day off work again to see the doctor. It still feels very dry. Thanks againfor tour kind help.
Avatar n tn (after they removed my tube from anatheasia) I had scleral buckle surgery on my right eye 9 years ago and have had 2 laser surgeries on my left eye-once at the time they did the scleral buckle on my right and the other was about 2 months ago. The laser surgery didn't work so they proceeded to do the scleral buckle. My recovery is going nicely. I'm 6 days post-op now. It's still blurry, but to be expected. My eye still looks extremely red too.
Avatar n tn For those wrestling with the decision of what Type of IOL, I'll offer you my experience with my decision to go monofocal. I had the left-eye cataract surgery yesterday, and met with the doctor this morning. I finally chose the monofocal over the rezoom / restor options. My doctor went with the AMO Tecnis foldable acrylic IOL ZA9003. Diopter 17.5. Day 1: When they took that bandage off my left eye, I was amazed at the colors.

Avatar m tn I wish the surgeon would of had someone tell me these are things gs that can possibly happen, because it is scarey when it is your eye/vision on the line. I asked the discharge Nurse about the dark circles at surgery center, she knew nothing and discharged me anyway.. Thank good for the internet. :). How is your eye today?
Avatar m tn I am now 1 week after the surgery in my right eye (Symfony). Left eye clear from cataract - so untouched (myopic: -4.25) - I use a contact lens in this eye. My results - good distant vision (with good contrast - also at night), intermediate - quite good - I can read a computer screen quite well, near - needs to improve - I can not read a newspaper with my right eye. Flickering - I also have it sometimes, most of the time not disturbing.
Avatar m tn Addressed the surgery procedures and timelines involved for the surgery and the check-ups following each eye lens implant. Valium before the Laser and Versed at the Surgery Center, she says I’ll be on “vacation”. They gave me a prescription for all the fun stuff, Valium, Steroid, anti-inflammatory, and anti-biotic. Discount coupons included, and out-of-pocket costs for all the meds for both surgeries was $110.
Avatar f tn I tried to remove one with tweezers, and it was very tacky (as in sticky) and clearly goes deep under the skin. Part of it broke off but I could still see that the pore was plugged and a day or two later top of the plug was sticking out again. i can't find ANYTHING online that looks like it.
Avatar n tn I have major dark under eye circles. I don't know what I should do about them? I get at least 8 to 10 hours sleep every night and drink plenty of water. I have tried a few eye cremes that claim to get rid of dark circles but to no avail and I really don't want to have to spend hundreds of dollars on any more eye cremes that are probably just making the problem worse.
Avatar n tn Really want to stay on these drops as I don't want laser surgery this soon as I am only 63. Is there something I can use to help the irritation? Will it diminish with time on the drops, and what is the success rate with these drops and pseudoexfoliation.
199177 tn?1490502134 I have had two breast augmentations, a "nose job" and then a mini tummy tuck when I had my hysterectomy. The ONLY thing I would consider now is a little "eye work". Plastic surgery can make you feel better about yourself, (like my nose job did) but don't make changes for someone else. My first BA was fine! Went to a nice full "C".
Avatar m tn It's not really bad, but it looks like I have a large dark circle, from lack of sleep or something, under my left eye compared to virtually no circle under my right eye. I'm only 24, so you can imagine this is kind of annoying. I've seen a local dermatologist for an IPL (Intense Pulsed Light) treatment to reduce both the redness of the scar and the dark circle under my left eye. I plan on seeing him again and am considering a treatment called Deep FX in case I'm not satisfied with IPL.
Avatar n tn It is likely not hyperpigmentation as I have those under my eyes (underye circles) and the hue is not the same (dark-reddish/violet vs brownish and somewhat violet). Anyway, I want to get rid of them. They alone may have been passable for self-confidence but together with undereye circles make up a large dark pattern on my face. Can spend on laser or similar treatments but won't go as far as incision-type surgery. Please help me with this issue I've had for as long as I can remember.
233488 tn?1310696703 For persistent problems a complete medical eye examination by an Eye MD ophthalmologist is needed plus telling the Eye MD about your symptoms and how troublesome you find them. Self education on OSD is extremely important. If you are menopausal or post-menopausal be sure you and your gynecologist maintain optimal hormonal balance. (Many women with dry eyes have dry mouth and dry vaginal canal).
Avatar m tn I dont know which eye is or was dominant. After the right eye catarct surgery- I had clear vision in R eye, but suboptimal vision in Left eye, secondary to left eye catarct, At my approx one year follow up of my r eye catarct surgery, the operating surgeon noticed I had a retinal tear in superior aspect of r eye. I immediately underwent a vitrectomy and gas bubble in R eye. This gave me continued clear vison in R eye, with a small arc of blindness inferiorly in R eye.
Avatar f tn My left eye has a very early stage cataract, but probably won't affect my vision for several years yet - so I could just use an RGP contact in that eye after the right eye surgery.
Avatar m tn - doctor said cataract in one eye was still considered mild and other eye had a very slight cataract, but was not impacting my field of vision at this time - performed an eye test (wearing contact lenses) in a dark room with a lighted chart and vision was 20/30 in bad eye. - he then illuminated a light behind the chart (shining towards me) and I was unable to read the chart at all with my bad eye- my good eye saw it no problem.
Avatar f tn Vision very blurry with a bunch of Halos. 2. Eye felt like something was in it. Very scratchy. 3. Some flickering Morning after surgery 1. Some Halos and some glare. 2. Lots of glare 3. Notice lots of tiny floaters, probably white blood cells, and two pretty dark ones. They are quite annoying 4. Lots of flickering in well lit rooms. This is like a strobe light with the lights on effect. 5. Vision seems good. Can read a phone at about 16-26 inches distance.
Avatar n tn I was wearing a contact in my right eye, but it was hard to see well iwth both eyes competing, so at my appt the doctor told me to not wear a contact in my right eye, and let my new eye get used to being the one i see more with for the next week. The surgery for my ohter eye is 8/2, so it won't be long to wait. I can see distance to drive or watch TV perfectly with just the REstor eye.
Avatar n tn In my case, particularly in left eye - - right eye is much better. Has your vision improved? Have you had lasik surgery, as yet? Any suggestions?
Avatar m tn Rezoom inserted in right nondominate eye 2/28 and Crystalens removed from same because of scar tissue displacement which was not corrected by Yag laser capsulotomy in Oct. Left eye is 20/20 with very small stable cataract. Lens was put in cilliary sulcus. First week results were great with 20/20 far and J3 close and no visual aberrations. Lens started decentering resulting in more prominate ghosts and halos as it got worse.
Avatar f tn I would speak with your doctor clearly about each activity and whether a prescription, light or reading distance can be adjusted to obtain clearer vision. Dr. Feldman Sandy T. Feldman, M.D., M.S.
Avatar n tn I had lasik surgery on my dominate left eye many years ago. I am 48 years old, on 3/1/06 I had a Restore lens implanted in my right eye. Vision for distance not nearly as clear as my left eye, near vision very poor. I am writing this with my reading glasses. Is there any hope for improvement? I know it has only been 3 days, but appreciate any feedback!
