Avatar n tn I was wondering if anyone here can give me some suggestions please because i have sinus problems I have dark circles under my eyes not looking for any cosmetic surgery suggestions but if anyone knows of any old wives tales or over the counter products that actually work I have heard of oil of olay eye difinity but it is 24.
Avatar n tn and just to add to this i find my under eyes are more pale in the morning they are bright white. and more extremely visible if i have sun burn or tan it looks like iv been sunbathing with goggles on and people do say to me that they can see where i have been wearing sunglasses even though i hadnt worn any.
Avatar m tn She said they will probably do some laser treatment on my eyes. Now, in telling you about m infestation, I'd like to begin by saying that: if I were renting rather than buying this condo, I would have moved out of here long ago! Starting in September 2013 I discovered "something" in my carpets. I called Orkin exterminaters out and they were no help at all. The young inexperienced guy said I had no bugs or insects.
284078 tn?1282620298 It is such a small difference between the eyes that a great many patients can adjust to it quite well. These patients already can see almost perfectly for distance with one eye so that the non-dominant eye is freed up somewhat to be a little less sharp for distance and a little better up close. There is one caveat with this technique and that is that it is crucial to get the first or distance eye as clear as possible for distance.
Avatar n tn Hi everyone, I have similar problems that started 2 months ago with cracked lips on the corners, then the skin around eyes started to get redness on the corners... and now it's progressed to puffy red bags under my eyes with dry skin. I look OLD now with the deep creases. And the patches of redness by my mouth. I have had psoriasis, it runs in the family, and eczema, but I've never had it on my eyes or near my lips ever.
Avatar n tn Its not visable and is deffinately under the skin. Things like this always happen to me on weekends when the clinic isnt open grrr. I am booking an amointment on Monday though. I am very worried, i have had abdominal pains for a year and only had intercourse once. They pu the abdominal pains down to IBS but iv always had that little worry. This morning when i woke up with these 2 lumps, both of different size really made me realise i need to get a full check up from the doctor.
Avatar n tn I also have been using Benadryl after waking up two weeks ago with swollen eyelids, lower lids and bags under my eyes! I looked so scary! - I went to see my doctor - she took a blood test and ruled out kidney, liver and thyroid disease. The Benadryl worked - I tried to stop using it three days ago and within two days my mouth started to burn and turn red and my red eye patches started to come back - the skin being slightly itchy. I am trying to figure this out - allergy (environmental?
Avatar f tn They are not bumps. If I rub the area w/ a towel they do not rub off at all. I tried to remove one with tweezers, and it was very tacky (as in sticky) and clearly goes deep under the skin. Part of it broke off but I could still see that the pore was plugged and a day or two later top of the plug was sticking out again. i can't find ANYTHING online that looks like it.
Avatar m tn thanks for the feedback, i'm a little puzzled about something due to the surgery part, you might have an answer. well, i've read that surgery is to remove the fat in the under eyes but does it also remove the dark circles or the darkness will remain there after the fat is removed?
Avatar n tn Soak body fully, hair and scalp under water, for 20 minutes. Don't get it in your eyes, but do try to soak your face a bit with your eyes closed. Take a shower with natural soap, no perfumes, afterwards. Always rince very well. Use a blowdryer to dry yourself, no towels--they love towels. Step into your slippers or flip flops, but not on the floor when you get out of the shower. Stop using shampoo and conditioner, and use regular, mild all natural soap.
Avatar f tn Larger tumors are only easier to a point - once they get to a certain size, they get too difficult to remove as they are too close to the carotids and the optic nerve. I don't know actually if the surgeons would agree with her statement since they have to remove more of the pituitary. Sure, you can see it but er, the risks are greater. Ah the adrenal scan. I had on tech want to take a picture of my face when I took a sip of the lovely and delicious (*gag*) contrast.
162948 tn?1205256292 When i had sex with my husband on the Friday and Saturday before removal it hurt him and me so thats why i went to get it checked and they had to remove it. So The IUD is good for some people and bad for others. My opinion.
748543 tn?1463449675 One of the most difficult concepts to get across to my TMD patients and other doctors is the connectivity of the Jaw and the Neck. In fact, it is my strong belief that TMD/TMJ should really be classified as a Craniocervical Disease and hence fall under the umbrella of medical coverage rather than treated strictly as a dental problem. To the Neuromuscular-minded dentist, "Occlusion" is an extension of general Postural Consideration.
748543 tn?1463449675 For the past few weeks I have been throwing around ideas as to the best way to respond to this matter. You see a recent article ( Feb.3 , 2009 NY times) titled "Best treatment for TMJ May be Nothing" nearly made me clench my jaw to pieces. While well written, I found that the author, Ms. Brody, relied heavily on out dated and narrow perspective supplied to her by a small group of dentists.
485259 tn?1519050626 Thanks for all the great advice ladies. My surgery is scheduled for Nov 18th to remove 4 large dermoids from my left ovary, 1 smaller one from my right, and I'm having a hysteroscopy. I'm hoping that my dr will be able to remove everything via laproscopy but I have a feeling he will probably have to switch to laprotomy (sp?). We were TTC when they were discovered so I'm hoping that none of my ovaries will have to be removed.
Avatar f tn I'm glad to know I'm not the only one with this condition and that perhaps there is some way to remove it. To those of you who have had the surgery, was it done under general anesthesia or local? Good luck everybody!
Avatar n tn When I woke up from the surgery I was really out of it, I'm also very sensitive to medications and going under, I get really nauseas. I had an incision in my belly button and one right above my pubic bone. It took me about 3-4 hours to actually get out of the recovery room and when i went to the bathroom it looked like I had an extremely heavy period, they told me this was normal.
Avatar n tn torsioning of the tube. Couldn't bear the pain, so opted for laproscopic surgery to remove the cyst 2 days later. Woke up from surgery to find out it wasn't a cyst, but a serious infection. How the bacteria (alpha strep) got there - not clear, b/c I didn't have any tears in my uterus & had an unassisted delivery. I'm wondering if breaking my water could've had something to do with it. 2 days in the hospital & large doses of antibiotics & went home.
Avatar n tn Regardless of whether I use or don't use makeup some days I wakeup and can't even open my eyes. January 2009 I went back to see the allergist and begged him to prescribe Alrex to me. I was reminded that Alrex is not a solution to my problem, but rather a temporary relief. I was told that I will not be prescribed Alrex. I was offered a test to see whether I am allergic to common chemicals in products, and in the meanwhile I was told to make an appointment to see dermatologist.
Avatar n tn I have already discussed surgery. No doctor will remove them. I don't know what to do. Anyone know how I can make the swelling less? Thanks.
Avatar n tn I lost 25lbs over 6 years ago and toned my arms up completely as I go to the gym faithfully. Why is this happening?? My arms under my biceps have dropped dramatically, to the point where I am covering up my arms. My veins bulge all the time....I'm panicked...my skin is so loose. I just want to curl up in bed and cry and cry.
Avatar n tn Swelling goes down as the day goes on sometimes the skin would be red, and begin to flak off, tiny lines started to form under my eyes from the repeated cycle of swelling. I was ageing over night!! I tried everything- ice, cucumbers, tea bags, coconut oil, putting honey IN my eyes, cutting salt out of my diet, cut sugar out of my diet, coconut oil, I went without makeup, tried steroid creams, oil pulling etc etc… nothing worked.
Avatar f tn So all in all, it was a nightmare... from billing to surgery to recovery to trying to figure out what went wrong.... just a nightmare. But in my first wave of trying to get second and third opinions, I met a couple of his patients who were disgusted as well with both how he runs his office and the end result. They both were looking for revisions, so 3 for 3 needing a repair job.
Avatar n tn The hospital has put me on a waiting list for a consultation with an orthapedic surgeon and after all the attempts in the worlds to get an earlier appointment I've only got to wait another month - but after that there will be many more waiting lists to look forward to, who knows... what surgery is considered in these cases. Can you suggest anything that will take my pain away? I don't want to be addicted to pain killers and I'm scared it's getting worse not better, or even bearable.
211940 tn?1267884866 The type of pain that would drop you to your knees and definitely bring tears to your eyes. A gnawing pain in your bones and muscles. This led to pain in my mid upper arm once in awhile. This spread then to my shoulder, collar bone and shoulder blade. And then to my elbow and wrist on occasion. With sometimes numbness in my pinky finger and the one next to it but that only happened twice. Now is constant and still excruciating if I move just right.
472570 tn?1274689487 I also used them on the sofa in the ziplock storage bags that I used to keep my clothes in and in my truck. To rid them from my truck I used fleabusters and moth crystals all over the seats floorboard etc. and stayed out of the truck for a month. Moving air disturbs them and makes them slow down on the crawling so I also used fans and a dehumidifier at night. In time they will go away. My prayers are with you.
724734 tn?1230944872 I also have fatigue, which hits me very hard toward the end of the day (along with dizzy spells) and all I want to do is crash in my bed when I get home from work. I've also suddenly developed large bags/circles under my eyes over the last year, but I'm not sure how that could be related. I've had every type of bloodwork done which all came back normal as did my EEG.
Avatar n tn This helped and I too dreaded the 7th day, which I began to feel worse again. So, I call ENT and they told me to have the surgery. I have been too scared of surgery so ENT gave me Alavert D12, and Flonase to take this has made me more dizzy. I am at my wits end, thinking I have some serious illness? I would like to know your status now and if you have had any resolvement?

393685 tn?1425816122 ~~~~why does that word come up as misspelled? Anyway, went in 2 weeks after 1st surgery to remove the other lobe and 1 parathyroid gland to check for spread. So, I am hypothyroid for 5 years. I forget to take my calcium more often than I remember. I gained 35 pounds (I'm 5' tall) and after 3 years of begging to be switched to armour thyroid, I switched endocrinologists and talked the new one into a trial. I subsequently lost 30 pounds and have managed to keep it off. I am now 122 pounds.
