Laser surgery tattoo removal

Common Questions and Answers about Laser surgery tattoo removal

Avatar f tn You did not indicate what technique was used for your initial tattoo removal. Use of a laser is the most popular method. It require multiple sessions and may not completely eradicate the pigment. Surgical resection is another method. This will completely remove pigment that is excised, but will leave some type of scar.
Avatar n tn I am now looking into tissue expansion surgery to have the tattoo excised (I have a consult in a few weeks with a local plastic surgoen). I was wondering if you have any experience with this and what major complications I could expect. Also, how much do tissue expanders limit my amount of activity (if it is on my lower leg)? I do know to expect a long scar, but I am thinking it should be relatively linear.
Avatar n tn well and also would like to have the scar not so apparent ;( - but maybe a tattoo will work again ;) - in regards to the original tattoo removal I used - if you know anyone who has a tattoo and wants to have it removed - tell them to stay away from that product....unless there is a dramatic change in the products content or delivery method - because this basically produced a horrific hypertrophic scar.
4417525 tn?1354262463 Hello, Xanthelasma cause no harm, but can increase in size producing cosmetic blemish. The only treatment is removal by surgery with/without skin grafting (depending on the size of the lesion) or use of laser (CO2 Laser). It is very difficult to precisely confirm a diagnosis without examination and investigations and the answer is based on the medical information provided. For exact diagnosis, you are requested to consult your doctor. I sincerely hope that helps.
Avatar m tn Of course laser scar removal can be used on the genitals to treat scars since laser removal is commonly used in removing warts caused by HPV. From my personal experience, laser therapy is not bad at all and involves very little pain after a session of laser treatment although the pain might be a little annoying when the treatment begins (it feels like bacon grease that occasionally splashes up and hits you in the wrist when you're cooking; nothing too painful).
233488 tn?1310696703 Problems have included infection, inflammation, scar formation, chronically red and watery eyes. Removal surgery is often necessary and they eye may remain red and irritated looking and permanently watery and inflamed. COSMETIC EYE WHITENING: This does not refer to removal of sun damaged tissue that is growing over the cornea called pterygia (singular pterygium). It does refer to surgery to remove pinguecula, thick tenon fascia or fat from the eye surface just to improve cosmetic appearance.
Avatar m tn Apparently the astigmatism I had has been corrected (toric lens) but I am now slightly shortsighted (I had hoped for good vision overall). It has been suggested I could have laser surgery to correct this. My main worry is that I have what I feel is quite bad flaring from car headlights at night and also lots of circles around the lights, presume this is haloing. I see you talk about haloing and I am wondering if this has diminished/improved for you as time passes after the surgery.

Avatar m tn Hi, I'm a 24 year old male, normally healthy until about 2 months ago, and am desperately seeking advice for whats happening to me during these 2 months. I feel pain, numbness, weakness and uncomfortablity all around my body but the worst is that I fear future paralysis or even death and I am a father but I am really in a shadow zone and so are my doctors in diagnosing what I have.
Avatar m tn I have hypopigmentation from laser hair removal on my legs it has been 3 months did the ginger work for you? I have been so stressed out also.
Avatar n tn But I too cannot wait till I can afford laser hair removal.
Avatar f tn I think my internist will help me as much as she can, but I have lost faith in the oral surgeon community. Plus, my removal will be major surgery, but I know I have to do something to get my normal life back. Please keep writing!
Avatar n tn I wonder if laser hair removal is an option. At this point, I'd go for that if it would stop these painful lumps.
