Laser surgery dark circles

Common Questions and Answers about Laser surgery dark circles

Avatar m tn Hi, I have very severe dark circles around my eyes! It's getting worst and worst, i'm really self-conscious about it and i notice people are always giving me weird looks. I have so many health problems in my life, skin, bone, etc, you name it, i have it. I have been battling these illness my entire life, it's like i am born to battle illness.
Avatar n tn I get adequate amounts of sleep and i eat very well making sure to consume proper nutrition. I have dark circles under my eyes that i would consider severe. I feel like it makes me look like i am lacking something in my diet or I am stressed or sleep deprived or a drug addict. Like i said, i am very healthy and happy and I want to have skin around my eyes like a newborn. Are there any over the counter products that will 100% cure and rid of my dark circles?
Avatar f tn This would involve an outpatient procedure not covered by your insurance. A cosmetic dermatologist might be able to reduce your dark circles with laser treatment.
Avatar n tn I was wondering if anyone here can give me some suggestions please because i have sinus problems I have dark circles under my eyes not looking for any cosmetic surgery suggestions but if anyone knows of any old wives tales or over the counter products that actually work I have heard of oil of olay eye difinity but it is 24.
Avatar n tn You may discuss with your dermatologist the advantages of laser therapy and thermage for eradicating the dark circles. In extreme cases, cosmetic surgery may help (brow lift). Keep us posted for anything.
Avatar n tn All the beauty magazines tell you how to cover dark circles, but I'd never heard of anyone else with the opposite problem (until i did this search online). I asked a dermatologist about it, but he had no answers. I've had blood work done and am not anemic. I too am desperate to correct the underlying problem, but have lost hope finding out what it is.
Avatar n tn Beneath my eyes, there are two ring-like depressions that I have read to be a deformity that can only be removed by laser surgery. Besides that, the space under my right eye is a very visible bluish-white... predominantly white with a blue tinge. My left eye, however, is a noticeably dark brown. I don't know what to do about this. They have never gone away or improved over the many years I've had them. I have tried several creams but none of them have worked.
Avatar m tn On January 4 2011 I had an IPL laser treatment done under my eyes to help reduce dark circles, the skin is very thin due to damage from sun exposure. The next day, my left eye started twitching on the bottom corner lid of the eye near the nose. I ignored it and attributed it to stress, but after a month with no let up I called my dermatologist and was assured these non ablative lasers cannot penetrate deeply enough to cause any nerve damage. So I let it go.
Avatar m tn It all healed fairly well and the black eye went away, but then the black eye sort of came back and has stuck around. It's not really bad, but it looks like I have a large dark circle, from lack of sleep or something, under my left eye compared to virtually no circle under my right eye. I'm only 24, so you can imagine this is kind of annoying.
Avatar n tn I used the Castle-Connolly listings for ophthalmologists, and I narrowed my choices to those who specialized in both cataract surgery and laser vision correction. (You could pay $20 to get this info online or get it free from the "Best Doctors in Chicago" book available at most public libraries.) My surgeon only used Alcon IOLs, as do many surgeons in the Chicago area.
740516 tn?1360946086 When the oil was removed, 4 months ago, I had lots of little round circles with a dark border, all but one have disappeared at this point. My doctor told me that he replaced the silicone with saline and the residual oil bubbles float around easy in the saline. As your eye is gradually filled with vitreous material, the silicone bubbles will settle in the bottom and not move as easily as he vitreous material is much thicker.
Avatar m tn I wish the surgeon would of had someone tell me these are things gs that can possibly happen, because it is scarey when it is your eye/vision on the line. I asked the discharge Nurse about the dark circles at surgery center, she knew nothing and discharged me anyway.. Thank good for the internet. :). How is your eye today?
Avatar m tn Apparently the astigmatism I had has been corrected (toric lens) but I am now slightly shortsighted (I had hoped for good vision overall). It has been suggested I could have laser surgery to correct this. My main worry is that I have what I feel is quite bad flaring from car headlights at night and also lots of circles around the lights, presume this is haloing. I see you talk about haloing and I am wondering if this has diminished/improved for you as time passes after the surgery.

Avatar n tn Xalatan is an excellent drop but causes redness and irritation, long dark lashes and often dark circles under the eyes. Side effects (other than the lashes and dark circles) usually improve over the next few weeks. Use artifical tears like gental or thera tears every few hours and at bedtime to help the symptoms. Try to take the Xalatan about 30 minutes before bedtime and tear drops at bedtime.

Avatar m tn I had left cataract surgery in may, surgisite Boston/catayls laser. Alcon mono focal soft lens set to near. My vision especially color is excellent. My surgeon told me during the surgery that he was not able to scrape all the "sticky stuff" off w/out compromising the capsule and that I would likely develop PCO and need a yag. The next day he said he saw more debris than is usual so I came back a 2nd day to be checked for infection. No infection, he said it was just me.
Avatar n tn They alone may have been passable for self-confidence but together with undereye circles make up a large dark pattern on my face. Can spend on laser or similar treatments but won't go as far as incision-type surgery. Please help me with this issue I've had for as long as I can remember.
Avatar m tn However, in addition to that area, I see 8-9 lighted circles (with dark bands separating them). These circles are less bright, but extend to about 10-12 feet diameter around the light, which is a huge area. I can see through the circles, but it is like seeing the world through a large spider web or even a dirty windshield in a car. Of course, I see similar concentric circles around car headlights at night, with the concentric circles extending much wider than the width of the car.
Avatar f tn Is it normal that after 2 months passed YAG, to still see star busts at night from the headlights and street lights, during the day they are circles of light around the lights . Is it normal to have my vision not perfect after paying so much money ? , kind of light blur, my eyes feel tired all the time like I am just getting up in the morning ?. I can read quite well without glasses except that I have to bring the magazine closer and the slight blur.
Avatar n tn I am also a male age 57 and work as a computer admin. I had laser surgery for a torn retina a year ago...and first saw bent lines and edges about 6 months later. I was then diagnosted with epiretinal membrane with an OCT scan. I now have these symptoms: 1)Slightly yellowing in what I see..also somewhat dimmer 2) I see tiny white swirly ambeba type objects that are very pronounce on any lighter surface....millions of them (These are not the regular dark floaters that I usually see).
Avatar f tn i had dark lines extending below and out the inner corners of my eyes like upside down windshield wiper blades..i thought it was dark circles? but looking closer i pulled my skin and...bumps! u cant feel them but u can SURE AS HELL SEE THEM and apon looking at my 18th year graduation picture my skin is perfect flawless, now forgive me but in four years i HOPE i havent gotten so old that my skin looks 30 :( i googled and to no avail till now.
Avatar m tn While the diagnosis is based on a photograph this could be at best an opinion. Do consult your doc. Also while I do not advocate Dermabration to all, this procedure is also done on the nose in many conditions like acne scarring,Rhynophyma, nasal reconstruction, and as a part of cosmetic surgery on the nose. References do maintain the role of dermabration in selected cases but complications are there for every procedure! Best wishes.

More than 60% were spectacle-free, and 98% said they would recommend the implant to family and friends.
Avatar f tn But she would not listen about getting someone experienced - she just wanted someone close and cheap. I had dark circles under my eyes a lot too. Weird about the red ears and hands. At least it is not your neck LOL.
Avatar f tn The most troubling thing is white text on a dark background. The letters distort into a shadow like effect. Day 2 after the surgery, this was subtle now it really has a shadow. It seems this goes with the glare getting worse. I assume I just want to know how it will turn out. The floaters are predominantly white blood cells and I assume they will be absorbed. I had full FOV and the floaters freaked me out.
Avatar n tn I also get little boyles in between the thighs. so not only is it dark, but scarred w/ dark spots from the boyles. Tell me I'm not alone please.
Avatar m tn Rezoom inserted in right nondominate eye 2/28 and Crystalens removed from same because of scar tissue displacement which was not corrected by Yag laser capsulotomy in Oct. Left eye is 20/20 with very small stable cataract. Lens was put in cilliary sulcus. First week results were great with 20/20 far and J3 close and no visual aberrations. Lens started decentering resulting in more prominate ghosts and halos as it got worse.
Avatar n tn If I knew for sure the tilting was causing the problem, I would probably look into another surgery to straighten it even with the risks involved in a 4th surgery. To assume that risk without knowing it will fix it is difficult. Using Pilocarpine every 4 hrs or so eliminates the aberrations, but they come back even worse when it wears off. Perhaps using it will prevent any possible future visual adjustment, but the short term relief is welcome.
Avatar n tn One of my parents is goig to need cataract surgery sometime in the near future and I was wondering which of the two multifocal implants has been met with the greatest patient satisfaction. I have personally seen the Restor lens implanted but have not yet seen the results from these patients at followup. I have not seen the Crystalens implanted not have I heard any patient testimonials. I was wondering if anybody has personally seen and/or managed both of these types of implants. Thanks.
