Avatar n tn Its a hard pea-sized bump under my skin, and can be pushed around a bit. I was thinking it was a cyst, but is it normal for it to develop within 8 hours? I normally have a bit of vaginal discharge, but it seems to have increased the past few days. Any ideas for what it might be? I don't think it is an STD because i havent seen my boyfriend since the summer... so haven't had sex since then ( he has been my only partner).
Avatar n tn I am 44 years old, and have gone, in 2 weeks, from having 44 year old skin to skin of a 60 year old. Could someone please help? I'm very distressed.
Avatar f tn I tried to remove one with tweezers, and it was very tacky (as in sticky) and clearly goes deep under the skin. Part of it broke off but I could still see that the pore was plugged and a day or two later top of the plug was sticking out again. i can't find ANYTHING online that looks like it.
Avatar n tn Ive been to like skin clinics and gthey charge like upto 3k fr the treatment but yet its not a gaurantee to get rid off it as its a laser treatment. The cons are that i could get burns and the skin colour could go darker or i may have pale marks on my legs after the treatment. Therefore i never went for the treatment. I am loking for a treatment which is more effective and does not have any side effects. I saw the forums posted and was woundering if someone could guide me the right way.
Avatar m tn I thought about making an appointment at a skin and laser office. They offer this treatment called Fraxel, but I am not sure it will work on these kinds of scars, the yellowish brown marks that remain, but are not raised. Does anyone know if this Fraxel treatment would help? The consultaion appointment is 75 dollars so I dont really want to go if they cant do anything for me. The treatment is expensive, but honestly, i am willing to pay any amount to get rid of these scars at this point.
Avatar f tn Hi: I suppose you had a laser procedure, never the less listen to the enclosed video on how to care after the mole removal. You must avoid touching and infections, follow what the enclosed video says and it should not take more than 2 weeks to heal. http://www.livestrong.
Avatar f tn The guy who posted the video seems to be pretty reliable but you never know... So my question is as follows: Is it dangerous to let 24V DC (1000mA) pass through your body the way he suggests? http://www.youtube.com/watch?
Avatar n tn Vitiligo is a skin disorder characterized by loss of melanocytes with patchy loss of skin pigment. The depigmented areas are most common on the hands, face, and genitals and are flat and pale. This can occur in all ages and races, but are most common in blacks. The cause is unknown but often occurs along with an autoimmune disorder. Treatments include oral and topical synthetic trioxsalen and psoralen used with exposure to UV light, but the usefulness is questionable.
Avatar n tn I don't understand why you would post asking "can anyone tell me what might have happened" when I am sure if you have gone to a Dermatologist he/she would have told you what happened. I would not recommend any dermabrasion, etc. in your case. The Dermatologist did not offer any other options? Dermabrasion is NOT cheap or an easy fix. Lastly, there are natural ways to lighten a dark skin patch. Just google "ways to lighten a dark skin patch" and see what comes up.
Avatar f tn I put cocoa butter and sesame oil by neutrogena to keep the skin moisturized. Unfortunately they do get worse with the pregnancy. This is the time when your baby is generating fat so it's gettting bigger with every day. Stretch marks, or rather the tendency to get them is hereditary so not much we can do in this case. They do get lighter with time though, and are almost invisible once they heal depending on the lighting.
Avatar n tn i hav approched many famous eye and skin specialist for surgery or laser thng but they say that till now in our country there no treatment available...
Avatar n tn I have heard the surgery by laser or non traumatic discectomy. Is it safe to go done. Is this procedure for me or I need another type of surgery?

Laser treatment and curettage of endometriotic tissue is tried. Crohn’s disease is a difficult entity to diagnose. Along with gut symptoms skin disorders and arthritis too are commonly seen with Crohn’s. An upper GI series using barium dye is done to see the condition of small intestines.
684676 tn?1503190263 No witness came forward, or was found, to confirm the alleged attack near West Ninth and Columbia streets by a black woman who supposedly said, “Hey pretty girl,” offered her a drink and threw liquid from a cup into Storro’s face. Detectives found no security video or physical evidence of the attack at the scene. One day after the reported attack, on Aug. 31, Stefan said he went to the Burn Center at Legacy Emanuel Medical Center in Portland and looked at Storro’s injuries.
92903 tn?1309908311 Jim and I just finished a discussion on glucose, as mine rose post tx into the abnormal range, and he was concerned about his. Lots of skin talk of course, but glucose and lipids are discussed in detail. Started 8/22 worried about HIV/AIDS, and continues 8/15 symptoms of Hepc, no, the other way around. Skip the skin stuff if you can. I disagree with the idea of bying a meter and testing after a meal.
Avatar n tn I read all the comments, and some said is Milia which is not (it is really tiniest grain/sand like bumps not visible to the eyes and only felt by rubbing fingers on skin or by the itching/aching feeling felt from the skin from the skin. Someone posted a link of a youtube video of getting something physically removed from the skin which looked barbaric. When i read your comments, I initially dismissed it as i thought if it is fungal, why does it not spread?
Avatar n tn all of it...you can still see the folicles. I am very white..dark headed, so I have heard that the laser hair removal works well on this type of person. hum...wonder how much a all over body hair removal would cost? :) My husband doesn't seem to be bothered with it don't know why. I've talked to my doctor and he said this was common...there is medication I could take but it only controls the hair growth...it does nothing for what is already there...
Avatar m tn On the other hand, larger pupils are better able to utilize the benefits of having an aspheric IOL. (These benefits are explained in the patient education video at www tecnisiol com, and they don't apply to only Tecnis IOLs.) Another point--conventional IOLs provide better depth of focus (i.e., better near vision when the IOL is set for distance) than aspheric IOLs. But an aspheric IOL provides better distance vision than a conventional IOL.
Avatar n tn Some forms of skin conditions may even be aggravated by stress. Constant rubbing of the skin and increased moisture in the area may encourage intertriginous yeast infections.I suggest that you have a culture of the skin scrapings done to ascertain if a fungal infection is causing your symptoms so this may be managed accordingly.
Avatar m tn PATM/MORGELLONS IS AN INFECTION OF THE HAIR, spores fly off and then fibers can grow on skin even inside skin and they search for food so everyone sees them on open wounds and think the come from the wound and its not, the case, they are dropping by the millions from your head to the rest of your body and all over, this PATM, reactions. they are micro fibers finding their throat as these fibers know how to fly and try to propagate on other hosts.
Avatar f tn Furthermore, Accutane treatment made such a severe adverse reaction that the burning sensations were constant and unbearable for days and had to be stopped with a corticosteroid Diprofos injection. That stopped the reaction in a day or two. She also had tried laser Vbeam therapy that was usually prescribed for Rosacea. She responded badly to it as well. That’s the short version of the past 19 years, now comes the last 11 months.
948349 tn?1294383837 I would always touch myself and I couldn't believe how oily my skin would be. My skin is not oily anymore! It just looks like healthy skin! The root of the problem??? Is the oil... the bacteria thrive on the oily skin, the oily skin is some acne sufferers response to a lack of vitamin D... probably trying to make the precursor to vitamin D in the skin so it can be turned to vitamin D in the liver. But what happens when you have sufficient levels of vitamin D???
134578 tn?1546634665 It's not an eye cancer but a skin cancer, but its position is right under Basmati's eye. The vet thinks it won't be easy to remove the cancer without causing the lower eyelid to fail, and if we can't keep the eyelid functional, he thinks we might have to remove the eye. Which, of course, is healthy and works fine. I know kitties with one eye adjust quickly and do just fine. But gee, I hate to remove a healthy eye on a cat, and Basmati is a particularly loving and sweet boy.
Avatar n tn My husband has been having skin rashes around his eyes, raised small red bumps, for several months and just won
Avatar f tn At 26, I was diagnosed with PCOS (later told that was incorrect by an endocrinologist because the gynecologist had made the diagnosis without confirming high testosterone) and had surgery to laser ablate (?) multiple small (pin-head sized) ovarian cysts and some adhesions and was then put on a 7 month course of Lupron (used as a treatment for endometriosis, though I wasn't diagnosed with that then).
Avatar n tn Afterwards my skin is red and blotchy...waaay worse than it is before I start picking. I don't pick to make my skin look better (like if there is one big pimple) because I know it just looks worse. It is a terrible habit that I can't seem to stop. I have now started to notice my skin is permanently bruised in some areas and has small indents. The sad thing is that my skin is near perfect when I don't pick and is disgusting when I do. I just can't seem to stop.

Avatar m tn Apparently the astigmatism I had has been corrected (toric lens) but I am now slightly shortsighted (I had hoped for good vision overall). It has been suggested I could have laser surgery to correct this. My main worry is that I have what I feel is quite bad flaring from car headlights at night and also lots of circles around the lights, presume this is haloing. I see you talk about haloing and I am wondering if this has diminished/improved for you as time passes after the surgery.
