Avatar n tn I havent heard of a hemmheriod skin tage before.I have known other people with regular skin tags that looked like moles that had them removed. They didnt say it much.I guess if it's in the anal area it may be a bit more painful though.
Avatar n tn Its a hard pea-sized bump under my skin, and can be pushed around a bit. I was thinking it was a cyst, but is it normal for it to develop within 8 hours? I normally have a bit of vaginal discharge, but it seems to have increased the past few days. Any ideas for what it might be? I don't think it is an STD because i havent seen my boyfriend since the summer... so haven't had sex since then ( he has been my only partner).
Avatar n tn The Affirm laser tightened and the peel did even more. It cost $450. for the laser and then $100. for the peel so it was not cheap but I feel much more comfortable showing my arms now. I was told that the tightening of the skin will continue over the next few months.
Avatar m tn I thought about making an appointment at a skin and laser office. They offer this treatment called Fraxel, but I am not sure it will work on these kinds of scars, the yellowish brown marks that remain, but are not raised. Does anyone know if this Fraxel treatment would help? The consultaion appointment is 75 dollars so I dont really want to go if they cant do anything for me. The treatment is expensive, but honestly, i am willing to pay any amount to get rid of these scars at this point.
Avatar f tn I tried to remove one with tweezers, and it was very tacky (as in sticky) and clearly goes deep under the skin. Part of it broke off but I could still see that the pore was plugged and a day or two later top of the plug was sticking out again. i can't find ANYTHING online that looks like it.
Avatar m tn Cryosurgery using liquid nitrogen and laser are the main treatment modalities. Although there are many skin creams like hydroquinone and salicylic acid, but their use needs prescription .I would recommend a dermatologist’s consultation for this. It is very difficult to precisely confirm a diagnosis without examination and investigations and the answer is based on the medical information provided. For exact diagnosis, you are requested to consult your dermatologist. I sincerely hope that helps.
Avatar n tn a dermatologist has diagnosed me as having a rare skin condition called ulerythema ophryogenes He recommended a cream called lacticare as a moisturer but suggested laser treatment as an option which i am ging to try Hope this is of some help Stan
233488 tn?1310696703 It also wants to remind the public of the importance of protecting eyes from indoor UV light when using tanning beds. “Protecting your eyes from the sun is as important as protecting your skin,” said John Hagan, MD, an ophthalmologist in Kansas City, and a clinical correspondent for the Academy. “By wearing UV blocking sunglasses, you can enjoy the summer safely while lowering your risk for potentially blinding eye diseases and tumors.
Avatar m tn Hi, do yourself a favor and DO NOT SHAVE(promotes more hair to grow back courser and darker), DO NOT WAX (pulls on the skin damaging it and cause spider veins/broken cappillaries). Get yourself an EPILATOR. It'll cost you about $50.00 and it does not damage the skin. It's the best thing on the market for hair removal. You just need to learn how to use it properly. I've had mine now for over 15 years (believe it or not). I can do my underarms in 30 seconds, that's right.
92903 tn?1309908311 Last laser guy I saw recommeded 5-7 IPL treatments first and then he'd finish off any veins with V-Beam that the IPL missed. That would cost big bucks. LOL. Right now, face looks pretty good, like pre-treatment THANKFULLY so not sure what the next laser person will recommend, if anything. My guess is V-Beam but only for some obvious veins on nose, etc, that I had prior to tx. In the old days they just zapped those with an electrical device, maybe still do.
Avatar n tn the talk may be rough and tumble at time, including abuse to both dertmatologists and cats :) ------------------------------------------------------------------- I'll check back later...
Avatar n tn Also any problem with venous shunts or drainage of veins also causes this. If everything is normal and all your parameters are normal then you keep your legs elevated while you sleep and also while working do not stand for long hours and try to sit and also keep your legs on a stool stretched and it will help. Without any medical problem, you should not worry. Take care!
Avatar n tn I plan to try this sometime in the future but my derm said my skin is much to inflamed now to even think about it. No argument there. BTW the Elidel and the Cetaphil Cream moisturizer seem to be doing a decent job especially with the seb derm as flaking is gone. I also wrote Dr. Sy from Linda Sy products and she emailed me some tips on how to apply certain stuff. I purchased samples of her Zinc0 tinted and untinted sun blocks and will probably purchase both.
Avatar n tn If you buy a package of 6 treatments to one area it is 2400.00. 2 area's - 6 treatments - the cost is 4000.00. Insurance does not cover this. Interest free financing for 1 year or low interest -to finance over 2 years. There are diet drinks that you can purchase there, but I didn't do that part. I am sure there are other things they offer besides the diet drinks. They told me that the fat cells are dissolved and that they don't come back.
Avatar n tn I know when it's going to happen - can feel pressure, then it pops and you see blood under the skin and then it itches like crazy. Sometimes it's a hard blue marble under the skin. I have 3 that are permanently there (two in the same finger). It's almost never caused by anything - just happens. Occasionally it's when I grip something.
86075 tn?1238118691 Therefore one protocol is to first do the IPL treatments and then remove any veins left over (IPL can remove some veins) with a laser such as V-Beam. I mentioned a type of laser in my previous post -- can't readily find it -- that my doctor prefers over V-Beam for one-time vein treatment. You might want to look it up and discuss with your technician. How much are they going to charge you for the V-Beam treatment and will they do your entire face?
Avatar n tn The truth is, everything we eat, drink, breath or apply to our skin has some kind of effects upon us. Unless we do our own homework, and find out what those side effects may be, we could end up doing ourselves more harm than good. I'm sure everyones heart is in the right place, just wanting to see you have a real chance at regaining your health, and not wanting to see you taken advantage of. But sometimes we all just need to explain ourselves better. Stay well Diva, just stay well.
Avatar n tn getting back to my old life, sports, sunshine etc, -- that's where laser (IPL) should help by getting rid of veins and cappilaries that cause flushing. I still will give things more time but may go the IPL or laser route this winter. Still haven't "tested" the sun since the last time I did two months ago was pretty bad. Maybe next Spring after IPL. Hope this finds you well and your rosacea under control.
Avatar n tn My husband has been having skin rashes around his eyes, raised small red bumps, for several months and just won
534800 tn?1217170959 Further thoughts about this. My mother had varicose veins. I have thread veins in the upper legs and on the backs of the knees. I wondered whether there could be a medication taken in the past which has triggered a sensitivity. I had Septrin in my early twenties, to which I developed an allergy. I have heard that Septrin can trigger sun sensitivity, so who knows what other long term side effects there could be from some of the stuff we have taken over the years.
Avatar n tn Rang doctor and he said use the hydrocortisone cream again, which I did and it has cleared it up, but don't want to have to keep using it, as skin will thin and veins bulge. Am now trying Graph 200 homeopathic pills, and vitamin E oil on the eyelids. I think it might be eyelid eczema, which can be caused by low self esteem, which would fit at the moment. I think this is a chronic condition that you just have to manage. I'm going to try and raise my self esteem!
Avatar n tn ) The stuff inside is a combination of dead skin cells and oil from your skin, which is what the 'white' stuff is. It is usually kind of thick and oily when it comes out, and is sometimes mixed with a little blood. I think washing the area gently once or twice a day with antibacterial soap is a good idea. You might also want to apply an antibacterial ointment to it like Neosporin to keep it from becoming infected. I like the Neosporin with Pain Relief, the pain relief medicine really helps.
472570 tn?1274689487 When I touch infested item I get stinging itch, sometimes it even feels like one large bite but I can't see any skin breakage or reaction but just intense itching. The water/vinegar spray sure helps when its bedtime and I spray my bedding, especially foot area. I don't think its from the neighbors apartment or even fleas or mites that attach and stay, These are random bites and only occur after opening the window and/or certain weather conditions.
Avatar n tn After much thought and analysis, I'm leaning towards the idea that the bleeding is caused by tears in the lining of the urethra and that the tears are caused by the skin stretching very tight during an erection. That and/or blood vessels rupturing because of high blood pressure during an erection. This would explain why the bleeding stops after the ejaculation: IMO, the blood in the urine is only residual blood (mixed with semen) that got pushed into the bladder during ejaculation.
Avatar n tn Honestly, there are many people who have this problem and if your skin is as light as mine, unfortunately it is far more noticeable. The only thing I can tell you is, if you know when it will show up then wear a turtle neck that day. My daughter has to do presentations with the type of job she has and that is what she does and just laughs it off if someone mentions it. It's kind of like having "white coat syndrome" except it shows up in your neck and chest.
Avatar f tn old and the veins of elderly person. There is some plague in the veins on one side of the brain and older looking blood vessels on the other side of my brain for the age of 50. No determination on why nor where these (mini strokes) are originating from. Vanderbilt in Nashville, TN. is my next stop for hope of finding out where these T.I.A.'s (mini strokes) are coming from and what can be done if anything to stop them.
Avatar n tn I, myself, had a radical hysterectomy in April of 2007 because of ovarian bloat and the fact that my uterus was grossly enlarged. It weighed 5 pounds when it was removed! Last summer I had to have laser ablation of pre-cancerous cells in my vaginal vault. And just these past several days I've started to bleed from my vagina a bright red color with what appears to be tiny clots.
Avatar f tn So I went to a specialist who put me into surgery to have my whole urethra burned with a laser to remove the scaring from the infections and help them to not reappear. I think I was meant to wait 3months before having sex (after surgery) but I was feeling fine and late in the 2nd month I did (sometimes it’s just can’t wait) but yes I got the worst UTI ever.
