Avatar n tn I do have a few acne scars ( the pitted kind ) . I saw a plastic surgeon and he suggested either the fraction co2 laser or erbium laser with three sessions . After researching both , I feel the fraction is too expensive and I read a lot of people feel as though their skin is thinner . I do not have thick skin to begin with . He told me the fraction laser has about a week to 10 days of down time where the erbium only leaves your face red for a day .

I'm thinking 5 procedures to substantially decrease sebum + a topical retinoid to normalize keratinization + an anti-inflammatory antibiotic to tackle all of the acne causes. I started getting cystic acne from past 3 years.I joined one of the respected dermatologist in the city past 2 years.And he advised me to have laser therapy along with 10 mg/day dose of isotretinoin. Today i am not having acne.from about 4 months.But i got deep scars. Recently i read in many articles that having laser therapy or microdermabration while on isotretinoin increases the risk of scarring.Does it is so?
