Avatar n tn , and we specialize in Advanced LipoDissolve treatments. LipoDissolve doesn't work for everyone, but it DOES work for the larger majority of patients. At a meeting I went to yesterday afternoon, one of our plastic surgeons was showing real pictures of people who had lipo suction, then corrected the problems they experienced after lipo suction with lipodissolve. They were pretty convincing. If I were you, I would give it another try. We just opened a center in the Newport Beach area.
Avatar n tn For tightening skin a bit, I suggest Nourish Skin Tight. It has helped my arms (esp by the crease when you bend your elbow) and my knees! I began using it 5 years ago, and to me it has made a world of difference. It USE to work better, however, when it had more DMAE (which is a skin tightener), but I am still pretty happy with the results, as my skin does NOT sag when I lean over in bed to put my arms around the chest of my 41 year old man (and I am 58!
162948 tn?1205256292 My question is if that is normal once it has been removed and how long does it last. I had it in for over a year but wanted it removed because my husband and I are planning for another baby. So I have one more question, how long could it take to conceive once it is removed? and is it safe to try the first month that it has been removed?
Avatar m tn I also stopped taking birth control pills about a year and a half ago thinking it was keeping weight on me. It never occurred to stupid me that it was keeping my hormones up and my skin on! I quickly went through menopause. (Yes, all this occurred at the same time). It seemed like LITERALLY OVERNIGHT, my skin "fell off"!! I was doing push ups and looked down at my legs. My thigh skin looked like an OLD LADY'S!!!! At first I attributed it to the weight loss.
Avatar m tn Before she could speak, I thought she might be lactose intolerant because of the way she would pull her legs to her belly and cry, but as she got older it became clear that it was joint or muscle pain. It is sporadic at times but recently became an every night thing. It first started with her waking me up around 3am crying in pain. She breaks into a sweat. If it's her ankle or knee that is causing pain - she can't walk due to weakness and can't even get out of bed or climb on the toilet.
Avatar m tn The last one about 2 years ago stopped me breathing in and out completely for 10 to 15 seconds and I thought I had bought it. The spasm cough causes it all and when it goes away (usually 4 to 5 days) things are relatively normal although a normal cough stays with me for weeks after. I notice if I catch it early (which means I carry antibiotics with me all the time) it is not as nearly as bad. Doctors have diagnosed this as Asthma, chronic bronchitis, bronchial asthma etc etc.
748543 tn?1463449675 Dentistry has traditionally been a profession guided largely by mechanical concept. It does not have to that way anymore. It is time for the profession to recognize that occlusion and jaw function are governed by physiological processes and diagnose and treat them accordingly.
1757167 tn?1312666037 Wow it feels like my chest area is under pressure almost like there is gas trapped but it keeps tightening, then ease off. It is much worse on the right side. Anyways, got through it and still motoring only slower today. I read posts every couple of days and see how frustratingly long it takes some people to be diagnosed. The neuro I see next week has a terrible rating on WebMD and my own doctor said she has had complaints of her bedside manner so we will see.
Avatar n tn I'd do anything to get it to go away.. Fingers crossed he will do it and then treat my partner if it work...
Avatar n tn I just got a rash on both arms and am trying to figure it out. It crossed my mind that it might be the hcg but I have been on it for 5 weeks. Strange.
Avatar n tn She has also had an Accent treatment (some kind of laser I think??) for skin tightening, which also helps. I had the procedure done on my inner thighs 5 days ago. The first day after the shots, I was REALLY swollen... not really too sore, but just swollen. The second day, I was less swollen and even went shopping for a couple of hours. Yesterday (day 3) I went to work, and had no problem. Today, the swelling is a little less, but still not back to 100% normal.
Avatar n tn in PA who appears to be a rosace expert who uses retanoids (Retin A) but my first doctor said to stay away from it because it can further irritate the skin. You might want to google "Bitterman" -- he is against all forms of topical steroids. He also invented Retin A so might be partial in that respect. ---------------------------- Overall, my rosacea has gone on a scale of 1-10 (with 10 being similar to the pictures) from a 7 to a 3 although the past few days it's maybe like a 4.
Avatar n tn Plus, even with the swelling still a bit present - my abdomen is much flatter than it was. It does work, at least for me. I'll continue on with it. I've not told my hubby about this - he'd kill me. He makes fun of the commercials on the radio and I just sit there. So, far he's not noticed my abdomen tenderness or the swelling. LOL Any other questions, just ask.
Avatar n tn He told me I would just have to live with the swelling and wrote a Rx for Lasik PRN to help. The Lasik does help when I take it but as soon as I stop taking it the swelling comes right back. I've been told not to take it long term as it can effect important vitamin levels. I wasn't ready to just treat the symptoms and live with it so I went to an Internist who took me off birth control pills thinking it could be hormones but the swelling continued.
Avatar n tn also, my tummy is the thickest, but i have a lot of damage from an emergency c-section...and saggy skin. i'm wondering if it would be worth it there...the skin won't 'go back'. i'm in the kc area and have a great doc. is it okay to say the doc's name here?
Avatar f tn Sometimes I can bring it on by over stretching my chest. I work out 3-5 days a week and thought it was muscular but not so sure. It feels more like anxiety. Comes out of nowhere. Lasts only a minute or less.
Avatar f tn that doesn't mean it won't work though. At that time (4 years ago) we thought it might be something systemic, like an allergy or an internal infection....so maybe we weren't going after it the right way. I do have a few questions about the Brachioradial Pruritus (BRP) thing though...IF it is a neurological thing, and due to cervical spine/nerve damage, then why is the itch seasonal?
Avatar f tn My one derm had heard of scalp pain before but he said he has never heard of it being so severe to where it controls your life. And it does..... Hang in there and please contact me if you have any questions at all! I was also on Gabapentin, Neurontin, Lyrica, etc....thinking it was a nerve issue and even had injections of nerve blocks in my scalp but nothing helped. Keep your chin up and don't lose hope!!! Prayers and love to you!
Avatar n tn Wow okay.. This is strange. 21 year old female. 2 previous epidurals,1 previous lumberpuncture. I sleep on my stomach with my right arm under my pillow sometimes, but my numb spot is on the left side of my upperback just under a tad and over a tad from my shoulder blade. I have no mark there or anything, it doesn't matter if I'm standing, sitting, or laying I get it no matter. It's like a loss of feeling in 1 area.
211940 tn?1267884866 I have been looking everywhere for an answer, maybe someone here can. About 1 year ago I began having pain in my right upper arm, between the shoulder and elbow, about mid arm where the biceps brachii muscle or brachialis muscle is. I went to my Primary Physician who said it was a torn brachialis muscle. Since I was working at a 2nd job, I thought it might be job related so I went through the whole Workman's Comp issue.
Avatar n tn For most people it does, but there is a reason our surgeons make us sign all those papers before surgery releasing libility incase it does not. Thats one thing that frustrated me. My surgeon treating me that way (and it got worse) as if all surgerys are sucessfull and it was in my head. Well, I wanted to shove knives in his back and twist them for a few days and tell him "its not that bad". Then, I finally got another MRI 6 weeks post op. Guess what?
Avatar f tn i have the same symptoms as you all have mentioned...only burping before being physically sick, feeling bloated, uncontrollable gurgles. my mom is also the same way...i've even told doctors that i can't burp and they tell me to "work on it"...like i can learn to do it. not many people take it seriously, which drives me nuts. the worst is that i can eat something huge like thanksgiving dinner, or something as small as an M&M and i'll be gurgling for half an hour later.
Avatar n tn Interferon itself mimicks what our immune system does naturally. It makes things even worse before it makes them better. It aggravates any automimmune disorders that hepatatis c already started. Any person with a chronic condition such as hep c already has abnormal levels of cytokines such as interferon, as well as abnormal level (or greater sensitivity) of corticosteroids + other stress hormones secreted by adrenal and other glands of endocrine system.
Avatar n tn I find a new neurosurgeon, who a month ago I went to for pain management. Her solution was to send me back to work. This mind you after I re-injured it at work when the first dr wished he had a majic pill. Today I had a CAT scan. hopefully that will give me some answers but some how I doubt it. I also had an EMG. which of course shows normal as did the second MRI after i Re-injured it at work. My job is very physical and requires heavy lifting, twisting, turning, bending etc.
Avatar n tn If you normally excercise, know that you wont be able to do what you did before the OR for a while start slow and work your way up without expecation as to when you should be normal again. With the hormonal change it may take longer as you could feel more tired and emotional than what you are use to. If you have pain don't suffer, take something for it. Make sure that you are eating healthy high fibre to keep you regular and it will help with your peirods as well.
Avatar n tn if i push on my eye or neck it hurts but it kinda goes away alittle i haven't been to anyone yet but it does cause a migrane it went away but its back after about a month
Avatar n tn It is now 4 days since it happened and it is back to normal size but still discolored and tender. Since I work in medical, I will ask about it. Per web search, suspect conditions are high blood pressure and liver dysfunction... as far as I know, neither of these are the case. I am 60 and take no meds.
Avatar n tn the pain subsides with in a minute or two.It must be the sodium that is helping... I can't explain how it works but it does and it is fast. I figured out this by comparing my sudden attacks to a condition that my horses have had which is called Hypercalmic Periodic Paralysis. The lack of sodium causes a muscle cramping that makes the horses nearly unable to move when it strikes and the home remedy for this is baking soda and water.
Avatar f tn Wakey, I'm still praying for you and hoping you hang in there! IT WILL WORK! IT WILL WORK! You WILL get pregnant! I'm going to buy pineapple this weekend! xxoo to you all, and let's stay in touch, this is great. We are watching Juno tonight----ironic huh?
Avatar n tn Now, for the past month I have had a chiropractor/nutritionist working a natural method. It seemed to work, then all of a sudden today it came on with a vengeance. I can only describe the pain bluntly and crudely; "it feels like someone is kicking me in the balls and shoving a knife up my *** a the same time." Although the pain is located more behind the balls.
