Avatar f tn I had laser hair removal of underarms on 2/27--went off without a hitch. On 2/29, underarms began itching--no rashes noted. On 3/1, I developed a VERY itchy, red, puffy, warm/hot rash to left armpit, by the evening, it began popping up in my right armpit. on 3/3, I called cosmetic center-->MD suspected "laser burn" and wanted to eval. Doc said it was an "infection", was given topical ointment for itch & oral antibiotics.

Avatar n tn What about surgery procedures? A Laser procedure to rejuvenate the blood vessels under the skin to erase the purple color? Could I have fat injected under the eyes to give a fuller look and to hide the blood vessels from being seen through the skin? Bleaching? What have you experienced yourself? Please help. Any thoughts and/or advice on what could be done to rid of my dark circles would be greatly appreciated.
Avatar n tn If so, there are a number of treatments available. One very popular remedy has been laser skin resurfacing which helps to minimize the appearance of wrinkles, scars, lines and hyper pigmentation surrounding the eyes and mouth. It can also be used to treat areas on the cheeks. Laser resurfacing does not cause as much discomfort, bruising, scaring or bleeding compared to other cosmetic surgery procedures.
Avatar n tn Like the veins under the skin on your arms and legs your body needs them and you should not try to get ridd of them.

Avatar m tn It was on the underside of my penis near the base. A couple of months ago I returned to the laser center for a check up of my symptoms. The doctor noticed an area that I had been concerned about. It is a small area, just a bit smaller then a pencil eraser, on the top side of my penis. It is noticeably darker then the normal skin but is flat to the touch and sight. The doctor viewed it under a microscope and still was unsure if it was HPV or not.
Avatar m tn I got laser treatment where my doctor treated it with a weaker dosage of laser once, and last week I got a stronger dosage of laser on the bruise. It seemed to have the turned the pigment darker. Is this normal or should I stop getting laser treatment?
Avatar f tn I am a 21 year old girl, I have 2 flesh colored circles about the diameter size of pencil top erasers on my left inner thigh, both have lines down the center. They have been here for a very long time, years. I didn't think anything of them until recently in which I've become very scared. Why aren't they going away?
Avatar m tn s been 5 weeks, and I still have a pinkish reddish spot the same size sitting to the center of my nose. I read that these red spots are fortuna scars. Whatever it's called, how can i get rid of it? If it will heal on its own, how long will it take? If I really wanted fast results, what kind of procedure would i need from a dermatologist? Please help, I just want my nose back.
Avatar m tn Is it an allergy? She did eat alot of cheese at night the other day, it is the cheese thats making her skin white? Is eating cooked garlic good for her skin? Will it make it better? Avatar n tn The treatment for post inflammatory hyperpigmentation includes various skin creams like hydroquinone, azelaic acid, corticosteroids, tretinoin cream and laser treatment.Apply hydroquinone cream on this scar and it should go away in a few days to months. If it still persists then you can go in for laser treatment, Chemical peeling or microdermabrasion. Avoid picking, harsh scrubbing, and abrasive treatments unless prescribed by a dermatologist during this period. Hope it helps.
Avatar m tn Only about 10% of people have cataract surgery now (2023) need the yag. No it is not inevitable your vision will be worse in 6 months, but if the surgeon is scheduling laser in 6 months, it usually means the cloudy posterior capsule (not the IOL) is near the center where you see through. The laser will not 'cure' floaters and oftem people see more floater in the first 7-10 days post laser.
Avatar f tn I was going to suggest UC Davis MS Center until you mentioned you have Kaiser. I really feel for you. I had my last child at Kaiser in Sacramento and that was a sad, very sad experience. I can understand why you aren't thrilled with your neuro. Have you thought of asking one of the nurses in neurology at Kaiser about a good neuro? I find that nurses referrals are the best you can ever get. They know who is worthwhile and who to stay away from.
Avatar n tn Sebaceous cyst is a closed sac or cyst below the surface of the skin and fills with a fatty white, semi-solid material called sebum produced by sebaceous glands of the epidermis. It is usually painless but can become painful if infected. Then antibiotics are needed. Sometimes they may need cautery or surgical excision from a surgeon also. From your symptoms,as the lump is painful and hard so it can be either an infected sebaceous cyst or a boil. A boil generally starts as a reddened, tender area.
