Avatar n tn I had a cleft surgery when I was a child, and now that I grown up I realized that the scar is getting more obvious and can really be seen..Can I undergo any scar removal surgery for my cleft scar?Is it safe, effective and can help me a lot? and if you can estimate it,by how much can it cost? thank you very much..
Avatar n tn It is best that you have this checked by a plastic surgeon or dermatologist for proper evaluation. Scar revision through surgery and laser treatments may be indicated. Take care and do keep us posted.
1123156 tn?1338866969 all of this was told to me at a consultation appointment i had at a plastic surgery place in my town.. all of this is technically classified as a method of scar revision so if you look on a website of a plastic surgery place you won't find laser treatment of stretch marks more than likely. there's no ACTUAL laser designed specifically for stretch marks but stretch marks are scars so its the same thing. OH and one more thing you can pay for them by session at most places.
Avatar n tn Cost- I got my insurance to pay most of the cost, but it still cost me $3500 out of pocket. You need to be creative when dealing with your insurance company, so "Incontinence" is the reason I used for having the procedure, because that's what collagen injections to the bladder neck are really for. The doctor I used was Dr. Grocela of Mass General hospital, 617 726-8475. If you don't live in New England you can try Urologists in your area that do collagen injections for incontinence.
Avatar f tn My mom had something similar and went in to have it removed. She has a tiny scar, but is glad it is gone. I don't know what caused it. Her procedure was outpatient, so she went home the same day.
Avatar n tn it has been 6 weeks since my tkr, i suppose im doing ok, but my skin around the scar is so sensative, i cant stand a duvet on it at night, and a skirt swishing around on it is awful, it feels burned, but its not red, i cant see anything wrong, but its driving me mad, has anyone else had this problem.
Avatar n tn Chinese back doc did do a great job of grinding out dead blood/scar tissue under the skin of my back with his elbow though. That helped me get more than 5-6 hours sleep per night. How many of you have that problem, excruxiating pain at 6am or earlier - before the hot shower???????? I get that same pain radiating around the ribs and 'hot poker' like shooting pains that some our you mentioed already. My cause was a rugby injury about 1997.
Avatar n tn while all other doctors from USA, France, Netherlands, UK and even Germany-clearly could see that the disc that was put in me is almost 2X too tall and prior to the surgery I had a collapsed disc (bone on bone) and degenerated hyperthrophied facets-which are absolute contraindications to the ADR. I had a revision done 3 months ago and it was the most horrid surgery that anyone could imagine...Having hard time recovering.
Avatar n tn told me to expect some nerve damage since this was the fourth spine surgery in two years. Just had an MRI and they told me that there is scar tissue surrounding the nerve root. They have offered Lyrica to help with the nerve. But I am going to start physical therapy next week, and I have found that the less movement the less pain. Ask for Ct scan and an MRI, maybe that will tell them more.
Avatar n tn i am having doubts about this fusion but there is a alternative surgery(laser surgery) laser surgery institute.
Avatar f tn It took two years to research, find orthodontists, find a surgeon and lobby my insurance. Then at the end of 2005 I get braces for surgery (which cost 1500 dollars more than regular because you get 4 little extra hooks put on before surgery...) Then the surgery in 2007 and another in 2008 to fix the nose.
Avatar m tn The physician who reviewed it said, “The materials cost less than $5.00, so there’s no income, and if, on the outside chance, a patient falls in the shower, they can sue me. What doctor’s gonna recommend this?” He’s right, doctors aren’t stupid—that’s why they’re doctors.” If you don't wish to take the risk involved, then at least you may wish to try the Dr.Grossan Hydropulse Nasal Irrigation System.
