Common Questions and Answers about Laser removal tattoo

laser

Avatar f tn These particles are taken up by the ‘scavenger’ cells in the skin, and are carried away from the tattoo. Removal and disappearance of tattoo depends on the colors like dark colors will remove the quickest as more of the laser is absorbed by the pigment and depth of tattoos. It will take a few days and a few more sittings of laser to fade away the tattoo.
Avatar f tn If you can't get a tattoo while pregnant, you can't get tattoo removal either....I thinjk tattoo removal is even worse than getting the tattoo itself!
652407 tn?1300740799 Hello, I am not very sure of the efficacy and the related side effects of these tattoo removal creams but laser removal although expensive has been found to be the best treatment for tattoo removal. Another technique is Intense Pulsed Light Therapy. It is dermal enhancer in which instead of laser light, it uses high intensity light. It is very difficult to precisely confirm a diagnosis without examination and investigations and the answer is based on the medical information provided.
Avatar n tn Question - I get laser tattoo removal treatments every 6-8 weeks and pre-treatment the technician uses an ice roller (looks like a lint-roller but the roller is cold metal) and rubs it on the tattoo and does this again after the laser is performed. Because the laser can cause pinpoint bleeding I am concerned that she didn't sanitize the roller before she rubbed it on my tattoo (which was bleeding). Is there any risk here? Thank you for your answers.
Avatar f tn Hello, It is normal to find some redness, erythema or swelling after getting the laser treatment for tattoo removal done. It is not an easy process and should become better in a few days. It is very difficult to precisely confirm a diagnosis without examination and investigations and the answer is based on the medical information provided. For exact diagnosis, you are requested to consult your doctor. I sincerely hope that helps. Take care and please do keep me posted on how you are doing.
Avatar f tn I used a wrecking bomb cream for a short time, and than decided to go to laser. The MD who was doing the laser removal told me that tattoo removal creams usually leave very bad scarring. Upon my first visit she was surprised that mine did not look like it had any scarring. While I was healing from the first visit I noticed that there is a lot of scarring under the ink.
Avatar n tn Maddy: Laser is the on;y nonscarring removal method. Using cream anesthesia or injections, it's not very painful. Black is easiest; colors take more treatments. You should expect to need several monthly treatments, and some pigment may remain. To find a reputable place, call the dermatologists in your area. Price is important, since the treatment is pretty standard. Questions to ask: Do you treat many tattoos? Do you have lasers for all the colors of my tattoo?
Avatar n tn If that refers to tattooing flesh-colored pigment over the old one, then I don't think you need antibiotic prophylaxis, since superficial skin surgeries don't release bacteria into the bloodstream (though you may want to check with your internist or cardiologist on this, since there are no medical data on tattoo removal and mitral valve prolapse that I know of.) If you are having laser tattoo removal you don't need antibiotics.
Avatar f tn You did not indicate what technique was used for your initial tattoo removal. Use of a laser is the most popular method. It require multiple sessions and may not completely eradicate the pigment. Surgical resection is another method. This will completely remove pigment that is excised, but will leave some type of scar.
Avatar f tn The market offers creams, gels, exfoliants, laser treatments, and I am sure there are others out there as well. Removing a tattoo completely is almost impossible. They are considered permanent for a reason. You can try a diminishing cream, but a laser would probably offer the best results. Although, it is very unsafe to use around the eye area....unless you find someone that is experienced with removing them from this area. I wish you luck, and remember, next time you get a tattoo....
Avatar n tn Hello, Two years ago, I had a tattoo removed from my back with laser, but my skin got burned, now it looks ugly and I was thinking of get the are covered with another tattoo, but I'm just concerned about my skin, is this safe ?
Avatar n tn I m lookin for another tattoo removal here where i live and that uses a more new laser. I know the laser that this place I was going use is very very old, but is a Q-switched (at least I belive so). I m going to another place that uses the medc6. Please any advices on this will be helpful, I really want the pink/red pigementation to go away even if it turns white, I prefer white than red, but today is 2 weeks from de procedure and it is still here.
Avatar m tn Hello, Pre-laser tattoo removal methods include dermabrasion, salabrasion (scrubbing the skin with salt), cryosurgery, and excision which is sometimes still used along with skin grafts for larger tattoos. However, laser tattoo removal using Q switched laser is the preferred method nowadays. It is very difficult to precisely confirm a diagnosis without examination and investigations and the answer is based on the medical information provided.
Avatar n tn well and also would like to have the scar not so apparent ;( - but maybe a tattoo will work again ;) - in regards to the original tattoo removal I used - if you know anyone who has a tattoo and wants to have it removed - tell them to stay away from that product....unless there is a dramatic change in the products content or delivery method - because this basically produced a horrific hypertrophic scar.
Avatar n tn Hi, I had laser tattoo removal carried out 8 weeks ago. (Not the first time). On this occasion the wound became infected after a week. I visited A&E where they prescribed anti-biotics and treated with cream and after 1 week it had healed. Then was prescribed silver sulfadazine? To continue healing. However, some of the wound has scarred. It is still red and slightly raised, not painful but tender if pressed. My GP says it's not infected and gave me a soap free moisturiser.
Avatar n tn Does the nd:yag tattoo removal machine, work in the same way to remove post inflammatory hyperpigmentation. Will it be suitable for me.

Avatar m tn I feel there is a demand out there for Laser tattoo removal and I am considering pursuing this as a career and opening my own business. My biggest roadblock I have come across so far is the willingness of a Dermatologist to sign on as my Medical Director. Basically, it would be my business, I would be doing the tattoo removals myself with a Q-switch laser, and the Dermatologist would ultimately be responsible for any complications that arose throughout the process.
Avatar f tn The doctor basically gave me the options of laser treatment to remove the tattoo or to cut the tattoo out which will leave a big scar. But I know this Dermatologist to be very conventional and mainstream his thinking so I am researching other options. Since someone mentioned a possible fungal infection as the cause of the rash I'm going to try colloidal silver spray for a few weeks starting tonight.
Avatar n tn I want to get it covered up with another tattoo. I tried laser removal, and it seriously hurts more than childbirth so i never went back. i have been reading articles whether or not it was safe to get a tattoo while pregnant and i'm confused. Although there is no medical proof that getting a tattoo while pregnant is dangerous to the fetus, some articles say yes, others say no. What do you guys think?
Avatar n tn My daughter is on her 5th laser treatment for tatoo removal. After the last 2 procedures she developed a rash that affected her whole body. Is this related?
