Avatar f tn I do not want to explain to her why mommy is in there. I had my first Laser Hair Removal Treatment on the 27th of June, next appointment is August 2nd and this time they will use numbing cream!!! I'm worried that this will be ongoing for the rest of my life because of the PCOS. My question is has anyone gone through these treatments and if so what was your success do you still do touch ups?
Avatar m tn I had two cherry angiomas about the size of a felt pen tip removed painlessly last year. I went to a local med spa and they used the same laser they used for spider vein removal. It only took a second. See if you have a local med spa where they have actual doctors who treat the patients ( as opposed to staff). I'm sorry your dermatologist did that to you! My friend just had some skin tags removed by her dermatologist and they left big scars.
Avatar n tn The doctor will use a laser to remove it. The stricture is causing me to urinate frequently, not empty the bladder, and have a weak urine stream. I'm concerned that the surgery will only be a temporary fix and then cause even more problems. Through numerous forums I haven't found one person that describes having a stricture removed with this procedure and being satisfied with the results.
Avatar n tn My Problem is I have a tattoo on my hand from my youth that will hamper me getting a good job when I graduate. Is there a plastic surgeon in the area that would do the laser removal pro bono?.

Avatar n tn It looked great for a few months, but then a few weeks ago, almost overnight, it suddenly began to turn dark brown. (I teach school, and it turned brown when school let out and I had more exposure to the sun.) I now have a dark brown, perfectly symmetrical mole that is very hard to cover up even with lipstick. The brown pigment perfectly follows the removal site outline. It is not irregular, and is MUCH smaller than a pencil eraser.
Avatar f tn I am completely dark in my right eye but can still detect light. I developed a large very fast growing cataract and after removal had to have a tag laser a month later. I had almost instant results but within 24 hours my vision is blurry and cloudy again. My vision stands at 20/200 now corrected. I'm at a loss. Is there any hope I can get any better results with any other procedures?
Avatar n tn Can you tell me the results of your one ovary removal surgery? Have you had recurrence of endometrioma? Are you on oral contraceptives?
Avatar n tn To treat chicken pox scars skin specialists first reduce underlying fibrous adhesions and later either perform a dermal filler or stimulate new collagen growth with Non Ablative Laser Rejuvenation. It will be difficult to recommend a particular treatment to you but there are many options and medicinal products available. The best would be to talk to your doctor and then decide which treatment works best.
Avatar n tn hello - First, have you heard of Rejuvi- Tattoo removal? I was told by the person performing the procedure that there would be no scar, and that the Rejuvi treatment would disolve my tattoo. Well the tattoo did dissolve, but the treatment left a huge hypo-trophic scar on my arm. The tattoo was a band tattoo and also there was tightness around the upper arm going from inside my armpit all the way to the other side. Have you had anyone else with a Rejuvi treatment issue on this forum?
Avatar f tn Based upon its results it will be determined if only affected lobe needs to come out or the complete thyroid removal is necessary. Laser nodule treatment was on the trial, but the outcome of this procedure is questionable.
Avatar f tn after looking up various other removal procedures (such as laser) and decided to pay them a visit. The Colorectal health centre accepted my insurance (HMO) otherwise banding would be $600 per visit...first my Dr asked what problem was and I told her. She used a instrument that is like the anal speculum to look inside my anal cavity and saw that I had 3 interior hemorrhoids. I had my banding that first visit. It was painless, a lil uncomfortable but quick.
Avatar n tn Yes, I too expected to have a total Hysterectomy & removal of ovaries & Endometriosis by Laparascopic surgery. Well, that did occur but I knew that after my surgery that something was very wrong. My Sigmoid Colon had been ruptured. I was hugely distended & kept questioning this to no avail. I even suggersted that I had Peritonitis, but was told to think happy thoughts! Finally, day 5 in the hospital I felt my bowel really "Go" whilst on the toilet.
Avatar f tn My cataract surgeon suggested I schedule for a YAG Laser Posterior Capsulotomy, which is quick and will clear up the distortion and glare, one eye at a time. I am not thrilled about having another surgery obviously, but feel confident in the doctors I am seeing for this, yet am concerned just the same! Any surgery has risks, obviously...! Further RD'S?
Avatar n tn Browniee and others -- I had a lap chole in July of last year. I had the same symptoms mentioned above, cramping and sudden "explosive" diahhrea shortly after eating, especially following a meal higher in fat than my normal. I also had to watch what I ate and modify my diet, cutting down on things such as ice cream, rich sauces, etc. Fortunately, this passed after about five months. I slowly regained the ability to eat and drink the same types of food as I did before the surgery.
162948 tn?1205256292 I had the mirena in for about 13 months & had it removed end of august to try to get pregnant. I had thought it was more immediate. I found out it can take 3-6 months for your cycle to return. my husband and I are pretty bummed because we would have removed it earlier (or never had it put in). Anyway, I bled a few days after removal (probably due to the removal) & then nothing until a couple days of brown spotting at the beginning of this month.
Avatar m tn Hello, There are many procedures of mole removal like by shave or deep elliptical excision, excision with cauterization (a tool is used to burn away the mole) and laser removal. Your dermatologist may choose excision with or without stitches, depending on the depth of the mole and the type of cosmetic outcome desired. It is not advisable to use any chemicals for mole removal at home. Hnece please get this mole on penis evaluated by a dermatologist first before going in for any procedure.

Avatar f tn The different methods of hair removal are shaving, chemical depilation by using depilatory creams, temporary epilation by plucking, tweezing, waxing and permanent epilation by electrolysis, thermolysis and laser hair removal. But if the hair growth is excessive then hirsutism has to be ruled out. Hirsutism is usually caused by hormonal imbalance and in women PCOS is one of the leading causes of hirsutism and infertility.
Avatar n tn I have never been overweight either-- in fact, I was always the tall, lanky girl in school. But because of this, my skin wasn't expecting to expand when I filled out during puberty, and I got stretch marks on my hips and butt from it. Years later, they still bug me even though they have lightened. With plenty of research and experimentation, I've made significant improvements. I did this by regular exfoliation and laser treatments.
Avatar n tn But if it does not, then corticosteroid injections and surgical removal by scalpel or laser are done by a dermatologist. It then has to be differentiated from other mucocutaneous lesions also. It is very difficult to precisely confirm a diagnosis without examination and investigations and the answer is based on the medical information provided. For exact diagnosis, you are requested to consult your dermatologist. I sincerely hope that helps.
Avatar n tn Hi i am Cathy my mail cathyleewinyahoocom, it seems so long acnes and worse, you should have shower more than you have now, and drink more pure water everyday. And if it doesn't work, you had better have a IPL or Laser acnes removal treatment, to kill the inner secretin to death completely. It's permanent, painless, bloodless, but expensive. Avatar n tn I also have excess growth of hair on my chest and neck (which I am told the only thing that can be done for this is laser removal). I am starting to get skin tags (just 2) on my neck and I have a history of miscarriage. I also have had several ovarian cysts. Should I worry about any of these symptoms even though the T3 and T4 are normal? Or am I just crazy????
Avatar f tn There are various methods like shaving, bleaching, depilatory creams, electrolysis or laser hair removal are available to remove the hair.Out of all these laser hair removal is the most long lasting.Nd YAG laser is very effective in long term reduction of hair.Risks include the chance of burning the skin or discoloring dark skin with the laser, hypopigmentation (white spots), and flare of acne. Pls consult a dermatologist/cosmetologist and discuss this with him/her. Hope it helps.

Avatar m tn Drugs like androgen receptor blockers, androgen suppressing agents and 5 alpha reductase inhibitors are also used. Permanent means of hair removal by electrolysis and laser treatment are also useful. I would suggest you to consult a dermatologist and discuss all the pros and cons of these methods so that the best treatment for you can be decided.
